My iPod Touch has forgotten it has speakers.

Basically my problem is that suddenly my iPod only plays sound through its headphones, and won't play any though the speakers. Anyone know what the problem is and how to solve it? It isn't the settings as the sound is on full.

I have got the latest software on the iPod Touch- it was the first thing I tried. My friend had a similar problem a while ago and his was fixed by plugging it in to charge and another time by turning it of and on-but neither of these worked for me

iPod Touch has serious audio issues. Audio turns 'scratchy' or will not play at all. Have tried hard shut down and system restore with no results. Help.please?

I actually just had a call with an apple IT person - he had me go to "settings" on my touch, and reset, then "reset all settings".
my volume bar came back and it is now working with all my speakers, in the car, headphones, etc.

My Ipod touch has a blank white screen. I have attempted to restore and restart. I have also reset. The touch is recognized on my itunes page. It will allow me to eject the ipod. I also put earphones on to determine whether I could hear anything (desperation). I can hear something through the speakers. Not music but kind of like dead air---a little hissing----so I know something is going on. I am confused about what to do or whether that little white screen is the beginning of the end. Any insight into my problem would be much appreciated

- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer

Was watching a TV prog via BBC iplayer when the image and sound froze for about 5 seconds then just white screen. Help

First, try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."

Have discovered that I had not in fact updated the ios!!
Went through the process last night and my ipod now works fine on my docking station.
