my ipod touch has been stuck on the apple screen for two days now it wont charge either, it was fine until i updated the latest software with icloud x please help !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
please help me! its not giving me any new ipod software and it also tells me that i cant get any new apps because i dont have the latest software or something stupid. how did you fix yours? i also have the latest version of iTunes and my ipod touch is 2nd generation

I have an older ipod...ever since I updated the itunes software my ipod no longer works in my car. my car is a 2013 mercedes E350. Is there a way to go back to an older version of the itunes software?
If it's an older iPod, its software is not being updated by Apple. So, I don't see how updating iTunes would make the iPod not work with the car's audio system, since iTunes just updates the song files (not how the iPod operates).
Does the iPod work by itself (play songs), when disconnected from the computer and iTunes? -

It was supposed to update my phone to the latest software but has since stopped working all together and only showing the USB connection and Itunes logo on the black screen when I connect the phone to my computer and it`s been like that for the past 4 hours.I can`t access the phone content,it goes off completely once I disconnect it from my computer;I`m seriously sick and tired of all this software update issues,please help me sort it out.
I talked with Apple support they tried having me restart my comp and reinstall intunes. Which did not work and he basically said that I would need to go the apple store and probably have to get a new phone. Thank god I backed everything up first.

My ipod touch has a permanent image of the end of a USB cable with an arrow pointing to an icon of ITunes. I can't reset using the two button method, and ipod does not appear on itunes when I plug it into the computer - and nothing else happens either. This happened after I agreed to a software update which failed. How can I get it going again?
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

I have a 2nd generation iPod touch. I have not updated the software from version 2.2.1. When I connect to iTunes to update to 4.2, I keep getting an error message. Has anyone else had this issue and figured out a way to fix it?

Attempt to restore your iOS device two more times. If the issue is still unresolved, the device may need service.
The "device may need service" means a hardware problem. In that case make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.

To get pass the passcode lockscreen, recovery mode and restoring should help: iPhone and iPod touch: Wrong passcode results in red disabled screen
If you cannot remember the passcode, you will need to restore your device using the computer with which you last synced it. This allows you to reset your passcode and resync the data from the device (or restore from a backup). If you restore on a different computer that was never synced with the device, you will be able to unlock the device for use and remove the passcode, but your data will not be present. Refer to Updating and restoring iPhone, iPad and iPod touch software.

- Reset. Nothing will be lost.

If it's a second generation iPod touch, it can't be updated past 4.2.1. 8GB models sold at the same time as the third generation ones are second generation.

Since I updated to latest software on ipad cannot sync. with computer. Makes it to step 7 however says 'waiting for changes to be applied' and never completes sync.

Sorry you are having trouble syncing content with your iPhone 5. I found an article that might help with this syncing issue:

Also, you can delete the songs from the iPhone without syncing by just swiping from left to right over the song to get a delete button.
