If Resetting the iPod isn't much help, try connecting to computer and restore the iPod.
Connect iPod to computer or Mac
Open iTunes and let it synchronize.
Press the Restore button. (Note: Make sure you backed up all your data before clicking "Restore". Any unsaved data will be lost forever.)
Your iPod should be running as good as new after the restore.

My Ipod touch has frozen while using an app.
My new Ipod touch has frozen while I was using an app. I can't even turn it off. It has pink and blus stripes on the screen. I don't want to lose all my stuff and haven't yet got a back up on the computer. What should I do?
Have you tried a hard reset yet? To do this, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons together long enough for the Apple logo to appear.
See here for more assistance.

hi my ipod touch has jammed in the middle of nowhere i tried turning it off and it is now stukk it wont do how would i get it repaired
- First try resetting the iPod:
Reset iPod touch: Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Connect an iPod to a computer and see if iTunes sees the iPod. If it does, restore the iPod. If you are connected to the syncing computer restore from backup. Otherwise you will hve to restore to factory defaults/new iPod.
- If not visible in iTunes see if placing the iPod in recovery mode will make it visiable so you can restore the iPOd. For recovery mode see:
iPhone and iPod touch: Unable to update or restore -

I was going to update the ipod touch to see if it would update the battery power, however it won't actually turn on now... and i have spent alot of money on songs and I want them back how can I get them?
That's why it is recommended that you sync the device with iTunes regularly, to backup your content purchased on the mobile device. iTunes music is purchased as a one time download, and it is up to the purchaser to make backups of their purchases.
If you have not sync'd the iPod Touch and have no backup, and it won't even power up, I think you may just be out of luck. -
ITunes erased all my music while i was listening to some songs using this program
Hi, people.
I'd really appreciate if you'll help me.
I have an ipod touch 4. It was connected to my computer so that it was possible to play music with Itunes right from the device. Everything was fine when suddenly playback stopped. I switched to iTunes and saw that:
1. all songs below the last played track are marked with .
appears if you try to play any previously played songs.
In fact, i can't play ANY song at all.
2. my ipod now has 21 Gb of free space instead of 2 (i had 19 Gb of music...)
What i'd done already:
1. opened a "Music" app. Empty.
2. tried to simply synchronize the device. The only thing changed - itunes showed those 19 Gb of audio. But tracks were still unplayable.
However, Explorer and iFun Box both show that 21 Gb are still free.
3. succesfully uploaded one song again. It can be played in itunes and ipod
Another info that might be useful:
1. i wasn't using an "auto-sync" function. Only manual updating
2. all things haven't been moved or even touched (ipod, laptop, cabel)
3. i don't have a file named "it.tmp" so https://discussions.apple.com/message/7790048#7790048 is useless.
4. itunes version is 11.01
There is no backup file with music so i really hope that there is some way to restore it =(
And anyone knows, what the **** happened? o_OAnd no ideas? =(
Is my problem that unique and strange? -
The apps, unlock screen, and any in app usage is all magnified.
It sounds as though the Zoom Accessibility feature got turned on. This link will detail how to turn this feature off from either iTunes or from the iPod itself.

Hi, my iPod touch has been unable to sync since downloading the new cloud software. It says: An error occurred while restoring this iPod (-34) So my music is not on it. The apps are still on it. It doesn't have 3G so the cloud is pointless anyway. It just said it was a software update, I should have avoided it. Music is all I use on it so help me please!
Error 20, 21, 34, 37: These errors typically occur when security software interferes with the restore and update process. If you are using a PC, follow this article to resolve this issue.

a while ago i backed up my ipod touch 4g and yesterday it was acting up so i restored it and it deleted ALL of my pictures so can anyone help me to get them back?
currently running iOS 4.3.5If you restored from backup all the photos in your camera roll that were in the backp should be restored to our iPod. However, photos that are synced to the iPod are not in the backup. You will have to resyc them to the iPod. If the synced photos are no longer on the computer then the photos are lost.

my ipod touch has been disabled and needs to be plugged into itunes to reset it. However, the computer it was last synched with has broken and I don't know what to do!
You need to place the device in recovery mode.
Instructions here > iOS: Unable to update or restore
"If you restore on a different computer that was never synced with the device, you will be able to unlock the device for use and remove the passcode, but your data will not be present" -
I just got a ipod touch 5th generation and i was wondering if you can or how to take a picture while your recording a video?

The manual does not show that feature natively for the iPod. Later iPhones and iPads have that feature natively. -
okay, my ipod touch has a cracked screen but it worked completely fine and then my ipod had a short in it to the point where i couldnt listen to music. i tried sending it back cause it was under warranty but they said they couldnt do anything. so what now ? could i pay a lower price to get another ipod because if so i will .
Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

Itunes says ipod touch has the latets version but i know it doesnt
Itunes says my ipod touch has the latest software version 4.3.2 when i know it doesnt as latest version is 4.3.3. how can i update it?
OK so here are the direct download links:
Third generation iPod Touch
Fourth generation iPod Touch
Download the appropiate one and plug your iPod in to your computer. In iTunes, hit the "Check for Update" button while holding down the Option key. You will see an "Open File" dialog. Locate your .ipsw file and press Enter.
The update should be accomplished.

Trying to change the keyboard layout on my 5800
I simply want to change the keyboard layout to Dvorak (because that is the layout I use). It is not one you can buy the phone with. I've done many hours of searching and it seems the only thing that may have done it was MagicKey which can remap keys

The wireless Apple mouse on my late 2007 Mac Book all of a sudden will only scroll down, not up. It was that way this morning in 10.4.11 and still this afternoon after upgrading to 10.5.1. Any thoughts on how to get my up-scroll back?
