My Ipod Touch is completely unresponsive and shows no signs of functioning.
I had received the Ipod from a sibling after they obtained the iphone 5c and I haven't touched it since I got it. It was working fine while my sister had it and as far as I know there are no injuries on the device besides the countles back scratches. Now that I have explained the conditionof the device, time for the problem. it is a 8gb 4th generation.
The ipod will not turn on or even show the apple logo. It doesn't charge either and I have tried charging it with multiple usb cords, ports, and multiple windows running desktops. The device will not be recognized by any computers AND isn't recognized by itunes.
I have tried to reset it and even charged it over night to no avail. I looked around endlessly on the internet but haven't found a solution. If someone can assist me with this problem i would be soooo happy.
In the evenings and at night it can take an hour or more to get a response
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

After charging for at least an hour reset the iPod:

First, this issue started out with a power outtage while restoring, after that i checked the apple support for the issue and youtube(because ipod would not even appear on any computer with usb after restore) so i tried to do the hard boot(10 seconds each button) then the ipod repeated to startup(with just apple logo no itunes) then the screen went black and became unresponsive to anything, the only way i could get it to charge while stuck in recovery was to plug it into my dock, but now it wont even turn on with dock! please help!Hi,

Help, PLEASE?????When restoring to factory defaults/new iPod does not solve the problem it is likely due to a hardware problem. Then an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

My iPod touch is COMPLETELY unresponsive. Will Apple replace it?
This morning I picked up my iPod touch and tried to turn it on. Nothing happened, so I assumed it was just out of batteries. I left it on the charger for hours and then treid it again- nothing. The iPod just plain won't turn on. I tried it on iTunes in DFU mode- nothing. This iPod was never jailbroken, but it is safe to say it is "bricked". Recently I tried updating it to iOS 5, but I was unable to because of an iTunes error.
Unless Apple can magically go inside it and fix it- because it's most certainly some kind of hardware failure- this iPod has seen its last day. Will Apple replace it? It was a replacement iPod for another one I had that lost its charge, but is covered under the warranty for another year. Will they replace it or make up some trumped-up charge that I mis-used it? (A few years ago on a different iPod, a 2G, they claimed the liquid immersion had activated, but I checked this myself and found nothing!) Literally, I just picked it up and it was not working.What was the error you received when yu tried to update the iPod? The following lists error and their resolution.

Unable to sync albums from iphoto 11 to ipod touch. Even though itunes shows the photos have synced there are no photos on the ipod. Am able to check the albums I want to sync but it doesn't happen.
I have also tried restoring my iPhone and iPad to no avail. Thanks in advance for any assistance!

IPod touch screen freezes up and become unresponsive whenever it needs to prompt me for passcode
I know my problem may sound strange. My iPod touch is complete screwed to the point that I can only unlock it using the password when it boots up from off mode. After that, when I lock the screen and it prompts me for the password again, I slide the slider and it hangs down there. I tried to go to the settings app to turn off the passcode but it needs to prompt me to enter my current passcode before I can enter to turn it off and it just hangs down there. I tried to Reset All Settings which also needs my passcode, I tapped on "Reset All Settings" and the next thing it should pop out is ask me to enter my passcode but it just freezes down there being unresponsive. Help. I've tried restoring but there was an error message in the process of restoring.
I suspected it is a bug of iOS 5.1.1. The problem is in a very vicious loop. But with many tries, there will be times when it doesn't hang when it needs to prompt you to enter a passcode. Found a solution here: https://discussions.apple.com/message/18896056

iTunes shows the music and audiobooks I've loaded to my iPod Touch, but they do not show up when I try to play them. I reconnect to iTunes and it shows the music and books as being loaded on my iPod.
Sometimes the audiobook will play, then disappear from iPod's play menu after I reconnect to iTunes and load more music. I've got plenty of free memory, and iTunes shows the files still on iPod.
....or should I just roll it back to iOS 5... never had these kinds of issues with the old OS.Try:

My iPod touch is being unresponsive. I accidentally dropped it screen down and now when I go to slide to unlock it, it won't work. I've tried numerous times at resetting it, holding the home and sleep/wake button until it resets, with no luck. The Wi-Fi isn't even connecting. And the notification pull down screen and the pull up screen isn't present either. Would really like to know what is wrong with it. Thanks.

My IPOD Touch initially had a white screen. I tried correcting this by restoring default settings via ITunes. The Restore Failed with error 1602 and now the IPOD touch is completely dead. It will not power on or respond when I plug it into my PC via USB. I get an error on my PC stating that device attached to USB port is not recognizable. Can anyone help?

Automatically Syncing my 3rd Gen IPod Touch, All my music and videos show in the device on iTunes, but when I look at the device itself, it say no content. Can someone help? The Apps seem to sync fine, just not the music, videos, podcasts, or audiobooks.
