My iPod touch is frozen and apple screen & spinning wheel keep appearing

Hi I really need help,
I was updating an application on my iPod when suddenly it shut down because the battery was too low.
Then I tried to turn it on again but these apple screen and spinning wheel screen keep appearing until now.
I've tried pressing and holding the home & sleep/wake button at the same time several times, and mostly it didn't work.

First, charge the battery thouroughly.
Then, if you're still having a problem, try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. It could take well over an hour! Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod. As before, say "yes." Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time. If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device. Corrective action is simple - choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here.

The way I did it was I got the free app sync:stream from the App Store and then added my ipod to my ps3's Bluetooth devices. Then went to audio settings and set output and input to 'Skaggs iPod' you then open the app and it will be listed under music as a media service. You then go to all tracks and click copy (press triangle) it will then begin to copy all of your songs onto your ps3 via Bluetooth. I haven't tried but I assume the same can be done with photos. not even 20 minutes ago i accidentally dropped my iPod touch generation 5. and the screen wasn't responding. it went dark blue/ black color. when you press the on/off button or the home button, all that happens is that the screen light up but not eh background,time and etc. its just a simple black screen with a glow. my iPod has already being cracked before. and i haven't fixed it.

- Restore from backup. See:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

A reset may help. Tap and hold the Home button and the On/Off button at the same time for approximately 10-15 seconds, until the Apple logo reappears. When the logo appears, release both buttons and await restart. No content will be affected.

Plug into your computer
Go to ITunes
Click on your Device
Click on Summary tab
Click on Restore

Following Troubleshooting security software will frequently resolve this issue. This issue can be caused by the default packet size being set incorrectly. There may be third-party software installed that modifies the default packet size in Windows by inserting a TcpWindowSize or MaxGlobalTcpWindowSize entry into the Registry. Typically the default packet size is modified by 3G cellular network card software, ISP communication software, or Internet speed download optimization software. There are legitimate reasons to change the TCP/IP packet size and not use the Windows default settings (for example, network traffic optimization, home/broadband optimization, enterprise app optimization such as database apps, Exchange, and more). Deleting the "TcpWindowSize" or "GlobalMaxTcpWindowSize" entries in Windows Registry could affect the system's performance with other apps or on their network connections. Deleting the customized TCP/IP settings may require the reinstallation of any third-party applications that had modified the TCP/IP settings from the Windows default settings.
There are two ways to resolve this:
You can follow this article by Microsoft: How to reset Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) , or follow the steps below to manually find and remove TcpWindowSize and MaxGlobalTcpWindowSize entries from the Registry.
For Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7: Go to the C:\Windows folder and launch regedit.
Go to Edit > Find.
Search for "TcpWindowSize" entries. There are typically multiple entries of TcpWindowSize/GlobalMaxTcpWindowSize spread throughout the entire Registry. If "TcpWindowSize" exists, one or more third-party applications have changed the user's default Windows settings for TCP/IP.
Go to File and select Export. This step will export a copy of the Registry that can be used as a backup of the original settings.
Delete the "TcpWindowSize" entry.
Search for the next "TcpWindowSize" entry and delete each one until the Registry no longer has any "TcpWindowSize" entries.
Close Regedit, restart the PC, and test.
If you are uncertain as to why these registry entries exist and the PC is a business computer, contact your network administrator and determine what values TCP/IP can be set in their Windows Registry setting so that the PC can update or restore an iOS device rather than deleting the "TcpWindowSize" entry.
If editing the registry does not resolve the issue, restoring on a different computer that did not install the communication software is the step most likely to resolve this issue.

Try charing it to 50% at least.
If all else fails, try putting it in DFU mode. Connect it to iTunes, (iTunes may not detect the device, but that's ok) hold the power and home buttons down for 10 seconds, then release the power button but keep holding the home button until it goes into DFU mode. iTunes should detect it and ask for a restore.

While running an app on my iPod touch 4th Generation 8GB, the screen froze and showed the apple logo with a small loading circle which is isint moving. The device is still frozen and has not made any progress.
