My ipod touch is frozen on the boot screen
Ipod Touch. 2nd Gen. 4.2.1 Firmware. Itunes Version: 10.2.2.14
A few nights ago.. I turned off my ipod touch to conserve battery power.. When I turned it back on.. It froze on the boot screen. What I mean is.. It is showing the apple logo and the loading circles.. are frozen. When i plug my ipod touch in.. My itunes.. When i click on itunes whilst open... It does not maximize.. When I unplug my ipod.. Itunes starts working again.
I have tried Recovery.. and it does not work..
Any suggestions..
Thanks..

Did you try to connect in recovery mode? iPhone and iPod touch: Unable to restore
Make sure your ipod is charged at least 10 min before you connect to the computer. Also make sure to have the latest version of iTunes (10.4)
As you can see.. Stated above.. Quote "I have tried Recovery.. and it does not work.." Unquote
Any other suggestions?

My 3rdG iPod Touch is frozen on the home screen and the volume and time works but the screen doesnt, what do I do?
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order. -
My ipod touch is frozen on the disabled screen because my passcode was entered wrongly numerous times, how do I fix it?
The options are listed at the bottom of this article: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1212. The best option is the first (listed under "If you have previously synced with iTunes"): back it up and restore it on the last computer it was synced with after setting the passcode.

My IPod touch is frozen on the apple screen how can I move past the screen
My IPod Touch is frozen and I can't get passed the apple screen how do I unlock it
Have you tried a hard reset yet? To do this, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons together long enough for the Apple logo to appear. If that doesn't work, you'll need to connect the iPod to your iTunes library in recovery mode using the instructions in the Apple support document below and restore it.

What can I do if my iPod touch is in blank? All I did was just disconnect it from charging and then it was in blank.
See Here...
iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
Try this First...
Press and Hold the Sleep/Wake Button and the Home Button at the Same Time...
Wait for the Apple logo to Appear...
Usually takes about 15 - 20 Seconds... ( But can take Longer...)
Release the Buttons...

My Ipod Touch is frozen on the apple screen
...and will not sync with my computer. I have tried to restart in safe mode but it will not restart in safe mode. Sometimes the apple logo gets bright but still will not sync or restart. Is there any way to clear it and start over? Prior to this incident I was watching a video, paused it while it was docked on my radio, and then it locked up. I was looking to get a 64g but now not sure if it is worth it given this problem with my 32g. Any thoughts? Your help is greatly appreciated.
Your "understanding?" I have never heard of "safe mode." Well, I'm going to ignore that reference and simply make my recommendations.
First, try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
Finally, if the Restore doesn't work, let the battery drain completely. Then recharge for at least an hour and Restore again. -
My ipod touch has frozen with a white screen. The on/ff and sleep buttons will not work whether pressed for a moment or held for more than 10 seconds as per help pages. When connected to computer it is not recognised and no indication in "devices".It has been working perfectly from Christmas until now. Was watching a TV prog via BBC iplayer when the image and sound froze for about 5 seconds then just white screen. Help

My iPod Touch is frozen on the iTunes music note logo and the USB plug picture. Tried resetting - didn't work. Tried restoring - didn't work. Any ideas besides throwing it out my window?
Does the iPod/iTunes go through all the steps of restoring the iPod? If yes then:
Restore loop (being prompted to restore again after a restore successfully completes): This issue is typically caused by out-of-date or incorrectly configured third-party security software. Please followTroubleshooting security software issues if USB troubleshooting does not resolve this issue.
