  • IPod Touch is not recognized by Windows Computer or iTunes

All the USB ports are fine and the cable work perfectly. When I plug in my Ipod it shows that its charging but the computers dont do anything.
I checked devices and even fiddled with some third party softwares that might be blocking it but nothing is working.
my Ipod, Itunes, computer, and antivirus software is all up to date. I tried reseting my Ipod and computer and reinstalling Itunes.
I also uninstalled itunes removed all components and reinstalled still not recognized.
I tried a second computer and have the same issue.
Any Suggestions what to try next?

Try a different charging/docking cable.  If that does not work then you may have a problem with the docking connector in the iPod itself...

  • My ipod touch is not recognized in itunes and when i turn it on the screen just stays at the apple logo.

Is there something i can do to fix it? Or should I just send it in to apple?

-See if resetting the iPod will allow iTunes to see the iPod so that you can restore the iPod.
Reset iPod touch:  Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Next seeif recovery mode will allow iTunes to see the iPod so you can restore the iPod. For recovery mode see:
iPhone and iPod touch: Unable to update or restore
    - Let the battery fully drain. Charge and try again
    - Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store or arrange fro service by Apple.

  • My iPod touch is not recognized by my computer or by iTunes. It will not charge or sync via USB cord. I'm not sure what generation it is, I've had it about 2 years. HELP!

I can't do anything between the computer and the iPod... cannot sync purchases, music, anything... I tried resetting my iPod, which was a HUGE mistake because now, none of my music is on it and I can't sync the thousands of songs I've purchased to it... all I am able to use it for is to download directly to the iPod via WiFi. (Which I do, but mostly for apps... I don't want to waste money duplicating music purchases.) I've tried the troubleshooting thru iTunes and nothing has helped. Please help!

Your Touch is working correctly. Currently, without unsupported third party hacks, the Touch has NO disc mode. It will only show up in iTunes.
how do i put programes and games in my ipod touch
Right now, you don't. The SDK is scheduled to be released in Feburary. Then developers will be able to write programs that will be loadable.
