My iPod touch is not recognized on my computer and is only showing the connect to itunes screen.
I don't know what to do. It was working fine yesterday but now it won't recognize it anywhere and only shows the screen "connect to itunes" which it won't let me do.
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

My Ipod touch 4th gen. only shows the "connect to Itunes" screen.
I think this happened after an Ipod update. I can turn it off and on, but the only screen I get is the "connect to Itunes" screen ( usb cord with arrow to itunes logo). I have tried to restart, restore, but nothing works. I have also reinstalled Itunes. The Ipod is not recognized in Itunes, either. Any ideas? Thanks!

my ipod touch will not sync with my computer and the computer says that it is due to an impropper response from ipod , what do I do?
Check USB connections
If there’s an issue with the USB port, cable, dock, or hub, or if the device becomes disconnected during restore, try troubleshooting the USB connection, then troubleshooting your security software.
Common errors: 13, 14, 1600-1629, 1643-1650, 2000-2009, 4000, 4005, 4013, 4014, 4016, “invalid response”, and being prompted to restore again after a restore completes.
To narrow down the issue, you can also change up your hardware:
Use another USB cable.
Plug your cable into a different USB port on your computer.
Try a different dock connector (or no dock).
Add (or remove) a USB hub between your device and computer.
Connect your computer directly to your Internet source, with no routers, hubs, or switches.
If you see your error after changing your USB connections, continue to the next section to troubleshoot your hardware. -
So after updating iTunes and attempting to update my iPod Touch, a message came up telling me the update for my iPod had failed. I checked my iPod to see that it was now showing the "Connect to iTunes screen", and was no longer showing up on iTunes.
I then:
Restarted my computer
Uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes
Attempted to put my iPod into recovery mode.
None of these made any difference. Any help on what to do?Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

IPod Touch is not recognized by Windows Computer or iTunes
All the USB ports are fine and the cable work perfectly. When I plug in my Ipod it shows that its charging but the computers dont do anything.
I checked devices and even fiddled with some third party softwares that might be blocking it but nothing is working.
my Ipod, Itunes, computer, and antivirus software is all up to date. I tried reseting my Ipod and computer and reinstalling Itunes.
I also uninstalled itunes removed all components and reinstalled still not recognized.
I tried a second computer and have the same issue.
Any Suggestions what to try next?Try a different charging/docking cable. If that does not work then you may have a problem with the docking connector in the iPod itself...
