My iPod Touch is recognized on my computer but not by iTunes
My computer sees my iPod Touch but iTunes does not! It still sees my old iPod Nano though.

It sounds like your iPod touch is not appearing in iTunes. I recommend following the steps in this article to troubleshoot the issue:

IPod nano recognized in MY Computer but not in iTunes
My iPod nano is recognized under My Computer but not in iTunes.
I formaatted the iPod nano as FAT32 using the format option when right-clicking on the drive in My Computer.
I installed the latest version of iTunes software. I adopted the five R's approach to resolve my issue. I have wanted to restore the iPod but this option is not available in iTunes, since the iPod is not recognised by the software.
The iPod diagnostics option in iTunes indicates the following:

My iPod Classic shows up in My Computer, but not in iTunes. I've gone through the troubleshooting guide, reset it 3 times and put it in disk mode, reinstalled and updated iTunes and still nothing.

Please help me, i have tunred my laptop and Ipod on and off i have reinstalled a newer version of itunes, i have also tried using different USB ports. It shows my ipod in my computer but not in itunes!

This has been going on for about a year and I've been able to fix it (but now I can't remember how) but now nothing will work. I connect it and this message pops up and asks 'Do you want to scan and fix iPod?' and I click 'continue without scanning' (because clicking scan and fix does nothing) and then my iTunes freezes. I don't know what to do!
Next time you plug your iPod in, ignore the Scan and Fix message. Click the Start Menu and type "cmd" into the search bar. Then click on the appropriate Command Prompt application that appears in the results.
Then inside the command prompt type chkdsk [driveletter]: /f and then hit Enter. So if you iPod's drive letter was g you would type chkdsk g: /f.
This should resolve the issue of the scan and fix prompt.

My wife and I share iTunes account. We have always used to different computers mainly due to we each listen to different podcast, music, and books. Until now this has worked fine. Now with the new iPod (replaced iPod video) I am seeing her podcasts on my iPod. The whole point of different computers is to not see her stuff. Is there a way to stop this?
Go to Settings>iTunes and App stores and turn off Automatic Downloads

My ipod will connect to my computer but not to itunes
i have recently changed my ipod touch 4generation screen. i ahve done this multiple time without a problem and this time was the best ive done. when i plug in my ipod, it shows up in "my computer" but not in Itunes. if the ipod shows on my computer, its not the cord. i tried multiple hard shut downs and they did nothing. i have completely reset the ipod to defualt settings from the general setting in the device twice saving my info in drop box and icloud as back ups but that also did nothing. the ipod works perfectly fine by itself however the camera wont load. also, when i plug the device into my windows computer, even though there are pic and videos; my computer says there arent any. someone please help!!!!!
