If you make an appointment at the Genius Bar about a problem, they will check and evaluate the device, and if it warrants a replacement under warranty, they make the final determination. We are users here. This is a user to user support forum. We cannot determine what Apple will do. I can tell you what I already did, the warranty follows the device.

No. You must call and make an arrangement to return yours for a replacement. They will set up the return and send you a box and shipping label. Then you send your old charger, cable, etc. back. A new one will be returned to you.

The iPhone warranty is not international and as you purchased in
Malaysia the warranty is only valid in Malaysia
You could try taking to an iPhone Authorised service provider
in India but there have been many similar posts to yours
and I am not aware of them assisting with an iPhone from
outside India

I've had my iPod Touch 4G for about 10 months now so the warranty is still in affect. The home button appears to be stuck or won't work anymore. I can press down on it and I hear a click but it's inresponsive. I've already looked up and tried numerous things to fix it, but nothing works. I have assistive touch but ever since I started using it, apps close or freeze within minutes of opening it.
If I bring it to an apple store or send it in, can they fix the home button or replace my itouch?

It sounds like you need to set it up, and that makes sense because you said that its a new iPod. Just go through the steps of setting up a new iPod and you should be good.

Agreed, but the dents are extremely minor, its not like the entire case is cracked and its coming off, or the screens broken. It's just a slight chip. And ispite it being so minor they have declined the replacement.

They normally take your credit card number so they can charge you if you don't return the defective part by a certain date. I can't understand why Toshiba is so **bleep** about this. I don't blame you for not wanting to send in your laptop to have the hard drive replaced under warranty. Just get a Western Digital Scorpio Blue from Newegg, ZipZoomFly, or some other reputable online reseller and replace it yourself.

Ok, so i called up the store today,they asked me to contact the service center,the guy from service center said that they will look into it and if its not a water damage they will replace the lcd.(would take 6days) So i want to remove my data from my iPod Touch without deleting the data from my laptop iTunes. and i will also like to unlink my Apple id from iPod touch only(not the iTunes in computer) before i give it for repair. I connected to iTunes using usb cord. normally, the device shows up in the left hand column of itunes. then on the right, you have the ipod info - summary- music- apps, etc. however, the only thing i get on the right is just the word "ipod" nothing else. no links or tabs or even a sync button. please help

First, try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
Finally, if the Restore doesn't work, let the battery drain completely. Then recharge for at least an hour and Restore again.

They say it's company policy. Apparently, they don't think I'm capable of doing it myself. If I want them to honor my warranty, I'm going to have to send my entire laptop to them so a trained professional can perform this delicate procedure.

I've got a friend who worked at Geek Squad. He mentioned I could bring it to them and they'll help me out even though I didn't buy the computer at Best Buy. Apple have just replaced aMLB $945 aus. as my macbook pro graphics card failed. but 4 weeks later the screen has gone blank .i will take it in as the Mlb is still under warranty. could the MLB be damaged or worn out.?

You have a 90 day warranty after your machine has been repaired. Call the Apple Store/AASP and have them take another look at it.

Basically just what the question says. Only reason I want to know is because I have had 4 iPod touches. All 4th gen. My original one got cracked but I traded it in for a new one. That ones battery died within 5 minutes of usage. I took that one to the Apple Store and they gave me another one. This one won't charge and dies very quickly. Those are the reasons I suspect that it is refurbished and want to know.

They have the option to give you a refurbished iPod. The refurbished iPod includes a new battery and new back at least.
