My ipod touch is stuck in white screan i tried the power and home buton but is not working
while i was restoring my ipod touch on itunes an icon popped out with a usb an itunes symbol i did the reset thing wih them power and home button and i just turned white. my ipod wont even shut off i also tried letting my ipod die and when i turned it back on it sill went white. I NEED HELP

IPod Touch 32GB stuck on white apple logo after Brain Tuner update
Hi. I did a Brain Tuner application update which kept on reinstalling by itself. I was forced to reset by holding the power button for 6 seconds. On restart, the iPod touch is now stuck on the white apple logo.
Any suggestions on how to get out of this? I would pull the battery if I could but we all know that is impossible. My only other recourse would be to return the iPod under warranty; I hesitate to do this because I have important info in the contacts and notepad.I found out if you keep holding the power and home button until the iTunes icon and the USB cable icon appear, the iPod will show up in iTunes and will allow you to restore the iPod through iTunes. You have to make sure you backup often though; I only lost 2 days of modifications.

- Have you tried connecting it to your computer for a n hw and then see if it appears in iTunes. If it does restore the iPod.

Got a black screen on the iPod Touch 4th Generation. Tried restoring it and holding the lock and hold buttons but this didnt work. Do i need a brand new screen?
If you successfully restored to factory settings/new iPod via iTunes (Not via Settings>General>Reset>Erase all Content and Setting) and still have the problem that indicates a hardware problem. Could be the screen or something else.

Hello skdog I possibly think your ipod touch is black because it has not charged. If your dock is broken it might just mean the dock will be broken and so might be the USB port. You should see an Apple shop nearby and hand it over and see what they can do. I hope this information works!

Did you transfer the telephone number from the old phone to the new phone? If you did, I don't see how you could still have cellular service, even if you turned it off in settings.

my ipod touch would not go past the apple logo, it would just shut off. i held the power and home keys and connected to itunes but now its on the connect to itunes picture and shuts off on its own. even if i try and shut it off myself it won't. it only stays on for about 3-5 minutes:( please help!!!
When it shows the Connect to iTunes screen and you connect it to iTunes, have you tried restoring it?
This should solve your problem because the most common cause of your issue is a software glitch that is preventing your iPod from completing it's boot sequence. Restoring it will replace the software on the iPod with a fresh set so it can be used again.
