My iPod touch keep on restarting when charging and sync

My ipod touch always restart when syncing and charging...

Did you already try to reset by holding the sleep and home button until the Apple logo comes back again?
If this does not help, try to set it up again: How to set up your iPhone or iPod touch as a new device

My ipod touch keeps getting restarted. Be it while playing games or listening to music or browsing thru the app store. Whats the problem here?

Oh, you do one thing, back up your iPod to iTunes. Plug your iPod to the iTunes and when it appears under devices tree on the sidebar, right click on it, and back it up.
After the backup completes, jus click on restore button. If required it will download the latest iOS from the servers (Might take sometime) and after it's downloaded, it will erase all your data and settings, restoring to factory settings.
After you have completed restoring the iPod, jus set it up as new iPod.
Sync back all the apps, music, movies.
And make sure you quit the apps, by double clicking the home button and pressing and holding the app icons and clicking on
This should help your problem anyhow!
It might be a case that the files in the apps, or the preferences might be corrupted, jus to be safe, we have a backup.

  • Will an ipod touch keep me place when listening to audiobooks?

does the ipod touch keep your place when listening to audiobooks?

In iTunes right click on the audio book and select Get Info. Under the Options tab Remember position should be checked. It should be checked by default for audio books.

Likely that the battery is dead.  I would make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store to confirm. Apple will replace the battery for this price:

  • How do I download a voice memo from an ipod touch onto my library without erasing and syncing the itouch

how do I download a voice memo from an ipod touch onto my library without erasing and syncing the itouch?

Are you trying the "sync" the Voice Memos to a computer other than your syncing computer?  If it is to your syncing computer just follow the instructions in the Users Guide.  If to another computer you will have to make a backup of the iPod on that computer and then restore the iPod from that backup and then sync to the computer.

  • What do i do if my ipod touch keeps going to the charge screen, then to the apple screen, then shuts off?, what do i do if my ipod touch keeps going to the charge screen, then to the apple screen, then shuts off?

what do i do if my ipod touch keeps turning on, going to the charge screen, then going to the apple screen, then shutting off?

If it is still charging using the adapter, let it stay there for at least 15min, then connect again, if necessary use recovery mode. iOS: Unable to update or restore
If still not luck, and the battery still shows the red charging icon, you might need a new battery.

  • My iPod touch 5th gen isn't charging and when I plug my working charger in that I've always used a message pops up that says "This accessory may not be supported". So can I send it in for a new one if I have a warranty?

For Christmas, my older sister got me a portable charger for my iPod. I'm not sure if it was capable with apple products, but it charged my iPod when I used it. My brother came upstairs and took my portable charger from me, so I went to go use my wall charger. The wall charger I have has always worked and it charges my mom's iPhone, so the problem I have isn't my charger. After I plugged my iPod in my charger, a message popped up saying "This accessory may not be supported". I was confused because this never has happened before, so I tried my portable charger after I got the message. The portable charger didn't charge my iPod anymore apparently after I tried my charger. All this happened the day after Christmas, so it's almost been a month without my iPod charging properly. My iPod does charge, but only when I plug it in halfway and am about to turn it all the way off. The only way I get it to charge is when I plug it in real fast as soon as I turn my iPod completely off. I've also restarted my iPod, cleaned out the charging area, asked people at stores that work with technology, and etc, so if someone could help me resolve this problem that would be legit because I use my iPod on a daily basis.

That message is usually due to a bad cable.

  • Ipod touch keeps on restarting, never get past the Apple logo

    Hi
I have a first generation ipod touch.
Since last week, as soon as I unplug the ipod from my macbook, it keeps on restarting and never get past the apple logo, until the battery empties out. But, when it is connected to my computer, it works just fine. I tried to restore it two times, but the same thing happens. I think it is too late to return it to the store: any idea what I should do with it ? Thanks for your help !

    Hello, Welcome to Apple Discussions.
Is there any reason it is to late to go to the store and return it? Posted below are your service options for your iPod Touch if you are still within your warranty.

  • What if my 8GB iPod Touch 4th Gen. won't charge and won't keep it's charge?

My iPod Touch 4thGen. 8GB 6.1.3, doesn't charge at all. For the past 2 weeks I've tried different cables/wires, 2 computers, different wall jacks, and my car charger, but to no success... And every time I somehow do manage to get it to charge, it doesn't show a lightning/electricity/zig zag pattern, only a "fully charged" symbol, and a few times don't seem to be charging the battery at all. All it says is "Charging Not Supported With This Accessory."... Like right now it is "charging", with a "fully charged" symbol, but the battery is still red and very thin. I've been charging it for the past 4 hrs. and it's still at less than 20%. What do I do? I bought it last June, and so IDK if the warranty is still useful. It's screen is cracked(since January) and the power button doesn't work at all(since May) so I can't restart it or turn it off. My friend told me to fully drain the battery, so I did. But once I connected and charged it, for around 5 or 6 hours, even then it still had a low battery. What can I do?

    Welcome to the Apple Discussions.
Have you tried resetting your iPod Touch?
To reset your iPod Touch, please follow these instructions:
    (1) First turn iPod touch off by pressing and holding the Sleep/Wake button until a red slider appears. Slide your finger across the slider and iPod touch will turn off after a few moments.
    (2) Next, turn iPod touch on by pressing and holding the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
    (3) Is iPod touch not responding? To reset iPod touch, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least 10 seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If resetting does not fix it then you may need to RESTORE it. If neither of these solutions work then I would recommend that you take it to the Apple Store and have them evaluate it under warranty (Since your iPod Touch is less than 1 year old and therefore the limited warranty is applicable).

  • IPod Touch 4th gen will not charge, or sync to iTunes

Hello, I have a 2 year old iPod 4th gen 32 gb.  About a week ago a realized that when a charged it the charging screen did not appear.  I made no big deal about it since it still charged, but then I tried to connect it to my cpu to see if anything changed, nothing did (it also cannot connect to iTunes to my cpu but can connect to the app just fine).  So I went on with it but recently it stopped charging all together.  I'd power it down at night and turn it on in the morning and didn't charge at all past 20% So I powered it down and this image came up.Yes, I have seen this image before but when I plugged it in and got the  charging screen after it died.  But now it cannot get past this screen I left it plugged in all day and it doesn't do anything else.  I can reset it after 10 minutes to wake it up but it dies again almost right away now normally i would just toss this away, since how old it is but I'm getting an iPhone soon and I want to be able to transfer everything over, to the iPhone but it keeps dying before i can do anything.  And I would like to fix it so I could sell it for some cash.
