My Ipod touch no sound coming through headphones ...only slight crackling of the song in left ear bud ...Ive tried other head phones it was working fine yesterday
my Ipod touch isnt playing the music through my headphones... only a slight crackling noise with faint music comes trough the left earbud ...Ive tried other headphones still not working ...It was fine yesterday it wasnt dropped nor did it get wet.it also doesnt have any sound coming out of the internal speaker when the headphones are removed.can it be fixed?
To rule out a software problem try the following:
- A reset. Nothing will be lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory defaults/new iPod
If you still have the problem then it is likely that the headphone jack is defective.

Hello, the volume of my microphone button in text messages is inaudible when pressed, even when my overall volume is on high and all other sounds/ringer/alerts volume are working fine! Is there a way to fix this? Was working fine yesterday. I've tried rebooting and turning Siri on and off, and can't think of what else to do. All googling results in posts about the mic not recording sound loud enough or not working. My mic works just fine; it does the job of recording, but I want the chime to be loud so I don't have to look at the screen to know when I can speak; I like to hear the chime to alert me. Any help is appreciated!

I agree with you about the volume on the phone itself. (I have 3Gs). It needs to be louder. I also wear hearing aids. However I do think there may be something wrong with your phone because when I connect my earbuds (Klipsh) I get very good volume through them. In fact at full volume it's way too loud. I would push for a replacement phone.
FWIW, my daughter (who also wears hearing aids) has trouble hearing her iphone. It appears to have more to do with the speaker not being lined up with the hearing aid's input. Her audiologist pointed out that some current hearing aids support bluetooth, I think we will get those next time we replace her hearing aids. -
My macbook air is not getting internet connection through our home wifi. It was working fine yesterday until I took the Air out of the house and used it on another wifi connection. One question is how to delete some of the networks that I don't use. Would too many networks cause the internet connection to fail?
Thanks.Would too many networks cause the internet connection to fail?
It shouldn't but sometimes deleting the list of networks actually does solve the problem you are describing. Have you turned WiFi off and then back on on the computer? -
Ipod touch cannot hear music through headphones
ipod touch 8gb cannot hear via headphones. All else seems to be working fine. Have tried several pairs of headphones with same problem....how can i fix this?
Try #2 and #3 in link below. If neither work, you most likely have a hardware issue.

My Ipad will not unlock. When I 'slide to unlock it speaks 'unlock key', if I touch the date it 'speaks the date', when I turn it on is 'speaks the time', but I cannot get into this ipad at all. It was working correctly yesterday, any idea's would be appreciated.
Your iPad is likely stuck in in VoiceOver mode. Try triple-clicking the home button or connecting your iPad to iTunes on your computer. You can disable VoiceOver in iTunes from the iPad's summary page by scrolling down to the Options box and clicking on Configure Accessibility.
Good luck! -
Sound coming through headphones not T7700 speakers
I recently bought the T7700 speakers for my Audigy 2 ZS platinum pro and have been experiencing alot of problems trying to get them to work. All connections are correct, however there is no sound coming out of my left speaker, but all others are fine. I discovered when i plugged my headphones into the jack on the external hub that i could hear the sound coming out of there. I've tried uninstall all drivers and reinstalling but to no effect. Any suggestions?
Hey,
For the other person being able to hear you echo, during a Skype call. I have included the link 'Solutions to Your Skype Echo Problem'. This link will take you through different steps of try to cancel the echo. You can also try the steps in the video 'How to fix Skype echo problems and improve call quality'. Most of the steps here a duplicates of the previous link.
The last step that I would suggest is looking into the Call Echo at Skype.com/support. This site has a lot of troubleshooting information that you can try.

No sound coming through headphones, just iPad speaker????
When I plug my headphones into my iPad, I get no sound, and the music continues to play through the iPad speaker instead. The same headphones work fine with my iPod. Is there a setting I need to change to shut off the music from going through the iPad speaker and send it through my headphones instead?

Welcome to Apple Support Communities.
From what I gather, you have an iPhone 6 that has a low or muffled sound from the EarPods, and the EarPods work fine with another device. The article linked below provides a lot of great information and troubleshooting tips that should help you resolve the issue.

This is crazy! I love my iPod but it suddenly has a charging issue. Please HELP! I had absolutely no problem charging it for 7 or 8 months. Then last week I started getting an error message every time I try to charge it. I used to be able to charge it through my PC, PS3, wall adapter or car adapter. Now I get this message no matter where I try to charge it or with what cord! It says, 'charging is not supported with this accessory'. It happens after about 3-5 min of charging. Then I have to unplug it and plug it back in to keep charging it! How or why did this happen and how do I fix it?
If you did not do a reset of your iPod please try that (you will not lose any data)
Reset iPod touch: Press and hold the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If this does not work inspect the opening in your iPod where the cable connects. Look for any debris and clean it (a magnifying glass may be required). -
My brand new iPod touch 64GB which has no extra applications other then what automatically comes with it, no pictures, in other words nothing extra bar standard issue. All I want is to load all my music from my iTunes, however it will only allow me to load 7,334 songs. iTunes keeps coming up with that I am short 21+gigs to be able to load all my music. None of this makes sense, also once having loaded 7000+songs I only have 88mb left! This makes no sense as 64GB should allow me to load at least 30,000 songs. Please help.
Where did you get the 30,000+ number of songs? The specs for the 5G (or 4G iPod touches) do not spoecify how many songs they can hold. The specs for the 3G iPod say the following. 14,00o in with128 kbps compression
Capacity
32GB or 64GB flash drive2
Holds up to 7,000 or 14,000 songs in 128-Kbps AAC format3
Holds up to 40,000 or 90,000 iPod-viewable photos4
Holds up to 40 hours or 80 hours of video5

How does that help when there is no media as I keep EMPHASISING apart from music. And according to Apple you should be able to load 30,000+songs on a 64GB iPod not 7,000! So this advice is utterly useless isn't it!!!! -

My phone played music fine yesterday. Today, headphones plugged in or not, my music (including YouTube and ringer) stops working. The timer still counts up as though it is still working but the volume turns gray or not at all and the little circle volume control disappears. How can I get my music working again?

Saffire 6 USB interface- no sound coming through headphones on new MBA?
I tried with my old MBP, and it still works, but sound won't come through the interface and into my headphones using garageband on my new macbook air. I installed the same driver. Can anyone help me out? Using the same exact settings that work on my old pro
yes. the day i posted this it somehow magically worked after i tried messing with the audio midi app on OS X, however now it's not working again. I need to switch the format to 48000 hz for sound to come thru, but when i select that it reverts back to 44100 hertz and then i can't hear anything :/
