  • My ipod touch 5th is stuck on the apple logo screen, and won't open.

It was yesterday, when it was low battery. But I was in the car, so I had to wait to get into the house to be able to charge it. Without noticing, that when it never opened.
Although this already happened before, and all I had to do was, to press the home button and the top button together, and then press the volume key and the top bottom.
    BUT. The thing is, my home button is broken. D;
I was thinking of resetting it, or something, in the computer, but I can't, due to the iTouch being off, iTouch won't appear in my laptop).
Please help me, there are very meaningful things to me in that iTouch.

  • My 4th gen Ipod nano keeps getting stuck on the apple logo.

My 4th gen Ipod Nano keeps getting stuck on the Apple logo screen, this happens everytime I plug it in to charge. I plug it in, an apple logo comes up, and it stays like that the entire time its plugged in. To get it to unfreeze, i have to press random buttons and unplug and re plug in earbuds. After 20-25min of doing this it unfreezes and I come to find it has gotten little to no charge after being plugged in for hours at a time. Any one else have this problem, and if so what do you do?

This can be a corrupted software/firmware on your iPod touch. If the recovery mode you did was not forced, then try to force it into recovery mode. This is how:
    1. Force it to shut down (note: this sort of shut down should not be preformed unless you are in a situation like this because it is a hardware shutdown and will not attempt to unload software, save unsaved files, safely stop system processes, etc.) to do this, hold down the power/sleep button and home button for about 7 or 10 secs. Also I might be incorrect but I heard that you can just hold down the sleep and home button until the screen goes blank and then immediately let go.
    2. Have iTunes running. Hold down the home button and plug the USB cable that came with your iPod into it. Keep on holding on the home button until a picture of a USB cable going into the iTunes logo appears. You are now in a forced recovery mode. (In case your not so tech-savvy forced recovery is the same as a normal recovery mode that an iPod might do if it knows an update or restore failed.)
    3. iTunes should have shown a pop-up message about it found a iPod in recovery mode. Click OK, click your iPod from the sidebar and click restore. The iPod will show the apple logo for a while and iTunes will say "preparing iPod for restore" and then "waiting for iPod" this was the longest part of updates for me.
    4. iPod will reboot when restore is completed. When I update my iPod it one time showed the apple logo for one whole sync until it showed the slide to unlock screen, so do not worry. P.S if that does not work do a DFU mode restore ( I've been told DFU mode stands for device firmware update mode) I'm running out of room, so google it. Hope this helped ;)

  • My New iPod gets stuck on the Apple logo screen.

I got a new ipod but there is one problem with it. For hours at a time it gets stuck on the apple logo screen. In this state it does not connect to my computer. I cannot get it to play music because everytime I manage to get it started up the apple logo screen pops up and shuts it down again.
Also, on the occasions where my computer DOES recognize my iPod, my iPod says it has about 1 GB of "other files" and about 1 gb of "audio files". I understand the audio but I don't remember putting anything onto my iPod that wasn't audio. What are the "other files" and how do I remove them?

Other can be Album Artwork, Notes, Contacts, Firmware etc. or files that are on there if you are using the iPod as a removable storage device. If you feel that Other is being incorrectly reported then try restoring your iPod. Restoring will erase the iPod's hard drive, reload the software and put it back to default settings. Once the restore is complete follow the on screen instructions and it should connect to iTunes and give you a prompt to automatically update your library onto the fresh installation. If you want to update manually or using selected playlists choose no and it will default to manual mode and you can choose whatever setting you like: Restoring iPod to factory settings with iTunes 7

  • Stuck on the apple logo screen.

No one seems to have the problems I'm having with my ipod. I have the 16GB silver 4G nano, and it was working fine one day while I was at work, then it slipped out of my boss's hand and fell less than a foot, but it worked fine when i checked it. But a few hours later that night, I tried to plug it into my docker and it reset itself, getting stuck on the Apple Logo screen. I tried the 5 r's a billion times, and each time it resets it gets stuck again. I've let it die, and tried to replug it in. It'll show the 'connect to power' screen, but when i plug it in it just gets stuck again. My itunes doesn't even recognize the software, even though I always download the newest versions on itunes.
Is there something I can do? I really don't want to send it in to Apple because A. I don't know how much it costs to do that, and B. It takes forever and a day for them to return it to me.
I've had my ipod since November '08 to May '09 and this has never happened before. Should I replace it, or am I doomed to send it in to Apple?

Try force your iPad into Recovery Mode
    1. Disconnect the USB cable from the device, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
    2. Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to turn off.
3.While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the device. The device should turn on.
    4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen. When this screen appears, release the Home button. iTunes should alert you that it has detected a device in recovery mode. Click OK, and then click Restore to restore the device.
Note: Data will be lost. You may have to repeat the above many times.

Try connecting it to your iTunes library in recovery mode using the instructions in this Apple support document.

Otherwise, try connecting in DFU mode.

My iPod touch is stuck on the Apple logo screen.  What do I do??

    Hello Melissa,
Have you tried a hard reset yet?  To do this, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons together long enough for the Apple logo to appear.  You may need to try this more than once.
    Any luck there?

  • Ipod touch does not do anything stuck on the apple logo screen.

ipod touch does not do anything stuck on the apple logo screen.

You may need to hold the sleep/wake button and the home button until the apple logo appears. Or anther thing you can try is draining the battery until the battery is dead. That's what i tried and worked. You may need to do those things more than 2 times. OH anther thing is you can try connecting you ipod to your computer and see if it appears on itunes. If those don't work you can send it to apple. So that's what helped me I hope I answered your question.

  • While I was updating my ipod touch to ios 6 the battery got drained during the process, i tried restoring it, it couldnt now my ipod is stuck on the Apple logo screen.

while I was updating my ipod touch to ios 6 the battery got drained during the process, i tried restoring it, it couldnt now my ipod is stuck on the Apple logo screen.
Can anyone help me with this issue???

Connect your iTouch to your PC then open iTunes, if iTunes does not recognize your device, try to hold the SLEEP Button and the HOME button at the same time (iPod Reset) for a couple of seconds until the "Charging Tone sounds, now you should be seeing your device name in the iTunes " Device List". If you do, just click RESTORE and iTunes will automatically restore your iTouch to original set-up and download the iOS6 update.
    Hope this helps..

  • My Ipod is stuck on the Apple Logo Screen

For some reason, every time I update my Ipod touch it has restarting issues. I got it late December early January, so it's still new. The first time I updated it, it told me I needed to connect to Itunes and that it was in recovery mode and long story short I had to sync it from a computer that was not my own and it took two days for me to get it back up and running. This time, it's stuck on the apple logo screen. I tried turning it off by holding the lock and home button, but it just turned right back on. So then I was hoping that I could plug it into the computer and start it on recovery mode, but it doesn't even show up as being plugged into my computer. So now i'm lost at what to do.

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try another cable
    - Try on another computer
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
