My ipod touch screen froze on a blank white page and won't let me connect to itunes what to do?
It works for many users. In some cases the white screen is due to a hardware problem and there is nothing that one can do short of getting someonet to know what they are doing and take the iPod apart andmaybe fix the hardware problem.

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Close All Open Apps... Sign Out of your Account... Perform a Reset... Try again...
Reset ( No Data will be Lost )
Press and Hold the Sleep/Wake Button and the Home Button at the Same Time...
Wait for the Apple logo to Appear...
Usually takes about 15 - 20 Seconds... ( But can take Longer...)
Release the Buttons.. -
When I go to search the web on safari my screen is greyed out and I can't click on any anything. What should i do?
Try clearing Safari's cache : Settings > Safari > Clear Cache (and Clear History)
If that doesn't work then try closing Safari completely and then re-open it : from the home screen (i.e. not with Safari 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Safari app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
A third option is a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot. -

How much free storage space is available on your iPod Touch?
When restoring your iPod Touch with iTunes, did you restore from the backup for the iPod Touch or as a new iPod Touch?
If the former and the problem lies with the data included with the backup, restoring from the backup will also restore the problem putting you right back where you started. -

Hold down the on/off and the home buttons at the same time until you see the Apple logo.

Turns out to be an iPhone 4 problem. I went to a store and they replaced it. No problems now. My wife's iPhone 4 also had to be replaced which is disturbing. We had the original iPhone, iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS without issue. This iPhone is not that good. It was emphasized to me the other day when I used a Razor in my house and found the voice quality infinitely superior and worked in places where my iPhone 4 failed completely (all on AT&T).
People on the other end of calls with the Razor commented that my voice sounded much better and asked what had I done (they were used to the calls made with the iPhone).
I am afraid I think that the iPhone 4 is not all it is cracked up to be. For phone use the Razor beats it hands down. Now, when it comes to email etc. the iPhone is infinitely superior but as a phone it is certainly not as good as it could be.
I am afraid that Apple may have lost the magic recipe and, if I had not gone past the return date, the iPhone 4 would be going back. -

i have recently downloaded IOS 5.0 and my ipod has been doing wat everyone else`s has lagging. Let the battery fully drain. After charging for at least an hour try what you tried already. If it still has the white screen that indicates a hardware problem an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

My IPOD touch 4th gen screen does not display. The software seems to be working and itunes recognizes the device. I have restored it and reset the IPOD several times but the screen is still black. What can I do to fix it? your help is very much appreciated. I do not have access to an apple store since I am stationed in Afghanistan.
If you restored to factory defaults/new iPod (you did not say the type of restore your performed) and are still having the problem that indicates a hardware problem. An appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order..

Try another cable and anothen computer if necessary. Also
- Inspect the dock connector on the iPod for bent or missing contacts, foreign material, corroded contacts, broken, missing or cracked plastic.

After a couple months i pulled it back up and it was locked out for 21 million minutes and i looked it up on the internet and couldnt fix it with anything. I then took it to geek squad and they couldnt even fix it. Dfu mode wont work, cant connect it to itunes, cant restore or recover it. Please help me.
Use Device Firmware Mode...
1. Turn off your ipod To do this, hold the home and sleep buttons for 10 seconds, ignore slide to power off message.
2. Release the power button when you see the apple logo (keep holding the home button)
3. Keep holding until you see a message.
Now restore from a backup!
