Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

I just had my i pod replaced yesterday it was under warranty and they exchanged my 6 month old 80 gig i pod for a new one. I left on my computer all night so it could sync and charge, And then today it would just shut down by itself randomly, and you could not get it turned back on until you plugged it into the wall power supply. Try resetting your iPod. To reset an iPod with a clickwheel:
First, toggle your iPod's "Hold" switch back and forth a couple of times. (Be sure to leave it on the white side of the switch, which is the Off position)
Then, press and hold the Menu and Select (center) buttons together for 5-10 seconds.
Repeat this a few times. Preferrably, while your iPod is connected to your computer, or other power source.
After you've done this, and if your iPod can successfully turn on, then let's try restoring it to factory settings.

So I had an ipod touch, got a lot of my music from my old CD's that i later threw away, then got a new computer and lost all my music on my itunes, but still have it all on my itouch. I just simply want to get my music from my itouch to my computer. I now have a iphone and it would be nice to put some of that music on my phone as well.

Yes....always a good idea to say what you've already tried! Have you actually tried what I suggested though? If that doesn't work, the only other suggestions are deleting the game and reinstalling, or contacting the game developer.

Mac mini keeps shutting down for no reason
My mac mini keeps shutting down for no reason. If I try to turn it on right after it shuts down, it won't or I may hear a chine, power light lit up for about 5 seconds and turns off. I have to wait a while before it would turn on again. And sometimes it stays on for 15 min, 2 hrs or 1 full night ... but then the cycle happens again.
Make sure the power cord is attached firmly to the back of the Mini. If so, try a clean install of Snow Leopard (or whatever version of OS X it came with). If neither of those suggestions works, it's likely a bad power supply, in which case you'll need to take it to an Apple store or call Apple support.

My itunes account on windows xp shuts down for no reason. If even try to delete something from my library it shuts down. It wont recognize my iphone and there is an issue with network connectivity and I can't connect to the store. I have already reinstalled itunes and did a system restore on my computer, firewall has been checked, itunes is ok on firewall and virus scan done. Ideas??
Same problem. I can see the itunes store so not a problem with windows firewall. The account is active on my iphone so i know i am not locked out. I can connect the PC to my iphone so i know itunes is working ok. It is just logging into itunes on this pc which doesn't work. Only thing I can think of is that the email address I use for my apple id has been offline for a while and is working again now, I'm wondering whether this has been the case for others who are having this issue?

hi can anyone help me with a problem thats just started to happen with my ibook or maybe its happened to someone else and they have a solution. the problem i'm having is that my ibook just shuts down for no reason esp. when i'm online and won't start up again unless i remove the battery leave it out for a few seconds then put it back in and it press the on button. i have kept my software up to date and as soon as a new update is available its downloaded and installed on the computer and i also have intego security software on my mac, so this is why i'm a little confused if my software is up to date and i have my security software protecting my mac why is it shutting down i have ran virus scan after virus scan but it comes up clean every time, is my mac on the way out (its only 2 years old) or is there something i'm missing or not doing. i would be very thankful if anyone can help me with this because although there is plenty of shiny new macbooks out there i kinda like my ibook and i don't want to let it go with a fight. thanks again

quick question is it possible for my ibook to reset its pmu itself, i looked up the effects of resetting the pmu on the apple site and one of the things it says will happen when the pmu is reset is that, "After the reset, on some iBooks and PowerBooks, the system clock is set to 00:00 (GMT), 01 Jan 1970 for computers with Mac OS X" , its just that when my ibook shuts down an i manage to start it back up the clock is set to 00:00 (gmt) 01 jan 1970 so does that mean its resetting itself or is the date going back to then because i take the battery out. thanks for your help so far -

MBP unexpectedly shuts down for no reason.
My MBP has been working fine, until I updated to 10.5. Originally this problem started in Bootcamp running XP, but has now done this once in OS X, just a while ago. There seems to be no difference- even when the psu is plugged in. Just now when it did this again, I pressed the power key and the led on the front blinked really fast, then there was a tone- like it was doing a firmware update (but I did the firmware update months ago!).
I've done a power reset- taking out the battery and holding the power key down for 20 seconds, which seems to have helped, but then again this problem seems to be rather sporadic, and one can never tell when it is going to happen next.
Oh yes, there is a mechanical 'click' that sounds when it does it- like a relay click. Is there a relay power related IC on the motherboard?
Any clues anyone? (I'm sending this exact letter to Apple as well)
TomIt's an interesting thread, but I seem to have the problem even when the cord is plugged in. I did have battery problems when I first got this MBP, but they seemed to settle down once I used the computer a bit more. FWIW, I have now got them mostly while using Bootcamp. BC beta 1.3 was really stable and good. It wasn't until I bought Leopard that this problem started. And again, it's only happened 3 or 4 times now.
I'll just have to keep saving. I'm sure Apple will wise up to this sooner or later. (Incidently, I haven't been able to send anything to Apple as I can't find their direct contact addie. Can someone 'remind' me? Thanks! -

I recently made the same mistake. The thing to do is download the new Quicken Essentials for MAC. After you install the new version follow the instructions on how to transfer your old files. There is a way, it just takes a little time and, if I remember correctly, it takes the info from your quicken backup files. Hopefully you had auto back up on and your files are intact. I didn't and reconstruction was a bear but entirely possible. The new Quicken is quite different but seems to work quite well. Good luck.
