My ipod touch still makes noises but the sound is off
My ipod touch sound is down at the side and in all my settings the volume is off for things like taking photos,locking and plugging my ipod in to charge but it make the noises but i dont understand why?!
Somebody help me!
Head to Settings -> Sound and make sure the Keyboard Clicks setting is set to Off.

If yu can't turn it off, then let the battery fully drain. After charging for at least an hour try again.
If still not successful that indicates a hardware problem and service is required. -
I have here an iPod touch Model number a1288 but the last number to me also looks like a 3. But that isn't my point. I'm here asking this question,. I broke my screen today and I was wondering if it mattered or not if i put on a ipod touch 2nd or 3rd then LCD and Screen. I really don't want to buy a new iPod and i've had this for a long time and its still working fine for me. Ijust need something that will play my music at work. Please someone helpp.

My friend sold me his iPod touch 3 gen 32gb but the problem is it's disabled an it ses to connect to iTunes an when I do connect it ses first I have to enter the password on the iPod but I can't cuz the screen stays the same what should I do

i am planning to buy an Ipod touch here in saudi but the facetime application is unenabled, if i bought here and bring it to other country (open country), can i enabled the facetime?
The only way you're going to get facetime is if you purchase your device is a country that hasn't banned its use. However, I'm not sure if it'll even work if you do that. As in the program is disabled on the server level....for example I can bring my US device into Saudi but Facetime will not work until I get outside of the country's borders.
Skype is a program that's often mentioned as a work around for that country's ban on Facetime. (I know it exists for iPad, not sure if there's an iPod version) -

can you see the speaker icon and the changing of the volume bar if you press your volume buttons?
Try this with the headphones plugged in and then unplug them and see if the volume for the speaker is displayed.
Is your volume limit set to max?
Set a volume limit for music and videos: Choose Music > Volume Limit and drag the slider to adjust the maximum volume

Ipod Touch still makes sound if sound is off
I have a new ipod touch 5, ios6.1.3.
When I use the buttons or the slider to make the sound go all the way to the bottom, it still makes a slight sound when unlocking and locking. I've already looked it up, only one person had this problem and it was because siri cannot completely go turn off.Did you go to Settings>Sounds and turn lock sounds OFF?

okay so i tried to rent a movie but the blue rent button just turned light green for a few seconds and then went back to blue without renting it. it allows music videos to be bought but not movies. the same happens when i click buy .please help! thanks

I have set up another user screen on my PC (MS Windows 7) & downloaded iTunes and then downloaded the latest software version. The sync has taken over an hour so far, is this normal? It is my niece's iPod and she has her music library on her laptop but has not downloaded the latest software - does this cause a clash if the iPod is registered to a different PC? Any help or guidance in an idiots simple way would be most appreciated. JT
It is the update firmware is taking so long? It can take an hour or more for the download.

Go to Settings>Notifications and turn alerts/sounds on for the app(s) in question. Not all apps have all options.

You should go to a nearest Phone Repairs store near you , and they should be able to help you there ! Otherwhise search online for iPad screen repair and send your device by post to an apple store or to a repair store !

I have an iPhone, an iPad, 2 iPad mini's and 2 iPod Touch's that all share the same apple id. I want to separate the iPhone so that texts are not seen on the other devices but I still want them to have the iMessage ability. How do I do that?

After updating my iphone3gs and ipod touch 4g to ios 6, the auto lock fuction doesn't work always , especially if passbook is left open in the background!
i have also restored both the devices but the problem still persists and is affecting the battery life!Same problem here, after istalling ios 6 on my iphone 4s my auto lock didnt work, but when i closed my assistive touch it worked again..I didnt have this problem in the 5.1.1 version. I dont wanna close the assistive touch tough....annoying problem !!!
Another problem occured in the settings of alarm clock. The sensivity of the on-off button is not as good as in the 5.1.1 version...
Hope they will fix this problem soon !!!

how do i delete my cell # from my daughters ipod touch? I have changed the #'s in my apple id but it is still using the other cell # in their ipod touch for imessage which allows them to send recieve and read texts to that #.
You can only uncheck the cell phone number. The only way to delete it is to use for FaceTime and Messages an Apple ID not associated with the iPhone.
