My ipod touch won't go any further then the white screen with the apple on it

i went to erase my ipod and it erased and then restarted but when it restarted it only goes to the loading screen with the apple sign on it and even if i restart it it goes back to the same screen. pleas somby help me i ant afford a new one

The FaceTime app on my iPod touch refuses to go any further than the email verification part of the setup process. It just goes back to the sign in screen every time. How can I fix this?

Ipod touch won't turn on, just shows the apple logo - even when plugged into Itunes?

I have an Ipod touch 8GB - it's virtually never been used. I have tried to charge it up but nothing happens - it just displays an apple logo. I have plugged it into Itunes but again nothing happens. Any ideas?

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer

Put it in DFU mode (Google it), and Restore it as new in iTunes.

Not sure if this helps:-
The music files, were they bought from your iTunes account or did someone gift them to you after buying from the iTunes account? If they are yours you can download them again if you clear or de-authorise the ipod, it has to be done by whoever gave you the ipod to do this (the registered owner). If they were bought for you on another itunes account I don't think Apple let you use them as they are copyrighted and they don't belong to you, they belong to the person who bought them. If the music files where ripped from music cd's then click and drag them to a new folder on your desktop and have the person who gave you the ipod to de-authorise and unregister it. Then you re register it and put your files back from your desktop folder in your iTunes folder and synch. Hopefully that would work. Any files which you did not buy, I would not know how get around this, best bet is to take it to you nearest Apple Store and explain that they were gifted to you and ask how you can use them. The best way to gift music files is to buy the gift tokens and give these. Hope above helps.

Have you tried another cable?
Another charging source? Does iTunes see the iPod when you connect to your computer?
Look at the dock connector on the iPod. Look for abnormalities like bent or corroded contacts, foreign material and cracked or broken plastic.

You may need to hold the sleep/wake button and the home button until the apple logo appears. Or anther thing you can try is draining the battery until the battery is dead. That's what i tried and worked. You may need to do those things more than 2 times. OH anther thing is you can try connecting you ipod to your computer and see if it appears on itunes. If those don't work you can send it to apple. So that's what helped me I hope I answered your question.

Ipod Touch 1st Gen not starting up past the apple logo

When I start it up i see the apple logo for about 15sec then it turns off. I've tried putting it into safe mode by holding the Power and Home button for 30sec but all it does is turn on and off twice then nothing happens.
Any ideas on how to fix this?

Try starting your computer by holding down the command + R keys, then run disk utility on your hard drive. If you are running a version of Mac OS X 10.6 or lower you will need to try to start you MacBook with the original DVD. We have an iPod Touch assistant that should be helpful in getting your iPod Touch working again.

If you continue to have trouble getting the iPod Touch working again, I'd recommend putting the device into recovery mode and attempting a restore that way.
