My iPod Touch wont charge and doesn't get recognized by my pc, also it doesn't start up
So, i went on a trip with friends, so i kept my iPod Touch ( 4th gen) at home. When i came back, it just didn't start up, even the screen which says i have to charge my iPod didn't showed up. So i put my iPod in the charger, but no reaction. I also tried different chargers, same results. Furthermore, have i tried connecting my iPod with my PC, but the iPod Touch doesn't charge / get recognized by my pc. I re-installed everything which has to do with Apple and i also tried resetting my iPod manually.
Please help me.
Thanks in advance
Boris

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

My iPod touch wont charge or turn on?
My iPod touch was not fully charged but it had some charge and then it just turned off and now it won't turn back on. I plugged my iPod touch into charge and the red battery and lightning symbol comes on but that is still there a couple of hours later. If I unplug it it, is just a black screen and no matter what I do nothing happens. I can't turn it on and I have tried several different chargers that work for other devices so it is not the charger. I am abroad so I haven't got my laptop to see if it will charge that way or be detected in iTunes. I have tried resetting it and restarting it but nothing seems to be working. Has anyone had this problem or know how to fix it? Any suggestions would be nice. Thank you.

- Try another cable. Some 5G iPods were shipped with Lightning cable that were either initially defective or failed after short use.
- Try another charging source
- Inspect the dock connector on the iPod for bent or missing contacts, foreign material, corroded contacts, broken, missing or cracked plastic.

I have an iPod Touch 3rd gen and while it is recognized by my laptop with Win 8.1, it won't sync with iTunes. It worked fine while my laptop had Win 8 but after the update, it quit syncing. Strange though, I downloaded an app directly to my iPod and when I connected it to my laptop again (for recharging if nothing else), iTunes updated itself by including the new app. I also tried syncing wirelessly. Also unsuccessful. I'm about ready to change to an alternate to iTunes if I can't get this situation fixed. Anyone else have this problem and/or a solution?

4th gen ipod touch wont charge, turn on, or appear in itunes for recovery.
I have been trying to fix it for a few days now, repeatedly being linked to the same support pages but to no success. I ran the diagnostics tool in iTunes and everything is working fine it is just the device wont appear at all. I saw a back up that is saved from a few months back but i'm not sure what to do with it. It is stuck in a black screen, and nothing appears on screen. I have left it plugged into a wall charger and into my computer for several hours but no progress. It has 6.1.5.

My 3g ipod touch is showing low battery icon. it wont start, wont charge from pc or wall outlet even over night. I tried other usb cables still the sam.
I can put it in dfu mode, then try the restore function in itunes which starts normally and goes up to the point of restarting the ipod but again it wont start and shows the low battery icon.
one time i managed to get start (I don't know how) then restoring was completed and displayed icons normally with a message displayed saying that battery has only 20% but suddenly turned off and back again to the drained battery icon. what shall I do now? please suggest something, thanksLooks like your battery needs to be exchanged: Apple - Support - Service Answer Center
