the apple icon shows up on the screen but then it just goes blank and then it does it repeatedly. i just want to back it up so that i dont lose anything. or is it to late?

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

my 14yr old son has had his ipod touch for over 4yrs. 2yrs ago he just quit useing it because of his android he had got at that time. its been stored every since,untill 1 week ago when my 7yr old little girl found it as she was snooping through his room,lol. however, its been so long he doesnt remember any of his passcodes and now the ipod youch says dissabled. Hi my ipod touch screen works sporatically. It reacts spacticaly. When I use the keypad it will slowly react and get the letter and sometimes puts in the letter several times. I barely touch it and it reacts and then other times I have to wait seconds until it will react. What can I do to fix this?

Periodically double click the home button and close all the apps in the recently used dock. Then power off and then back on the iPod. This frees up memory.

Songs that I recently added to my iTunes (not purchased from iTunes store) will not sync with my iPod touch 4th generation. How can I fix this?

I typically download my music directly from youtube. I have never had any issue when it came to putting it on my ipod touch (4th generation). However, today, I downloaded a couple of songs, added them to my iTunes (11.1.4). When I hit "sync" it said at the top that it was "Synching iPod: Steps 1of 3." It went through these steps incredibly quickly, a matter of seconds really, and I went to check it they had synced. They had not. I tried this several times before uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes. Even with the re-install, it does not work. I am wondering if it is because these songs were not downloaded directly from the iTunes store. i tried downloading a song from the iTunes store and it is currently in my iPod, so I know that it is able to sync music. I just started using this version of iTunes as I just installed it on the laptop I just bought (windows 8).

Was the iPod setup via iTunes on this computer?
Setup via wifi?
Was the iPod previous synced to another iTunes library/computer?
Have you successfully synced from this iTunes library/computer before?
Do the songs play in iTunes?
Do you have the right boxes checked to sync?

Unfortunately I tried that and it didn't work. Thanks for the help though. I tried to uninstall and it said I couldn't because the file is corrupt or something, but I think I finally got it uninstalled and/or deleted or whatever, but now I try to reinstall/download it again from the beginning and I can't. No matter what I do I can not get Firefox working again. No matter how many times I try to redownload it. Any other suggestions?

You'll need to connect it to the iTunes library you normally sync it with and restore it. If iTunes asks you for this passcode before it will let you proceed, connect the iPod to iTunes in recovery mode instead using the instructions in this Apple support document.

Depending upon what country that you are in (music can't be re-downloaded in all countries) then try deleting the incomplete tracks from your iTunes library and redownload them via the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes : re-downloading.
If you aren't in a country where you can re-download music or if they re-download in the same state then try the 'report a problem' link from your purchase history : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via Store > View My Account and you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it ; click on that and you should see a list of your purchases ; find that album and use the 'Report a Problem' link.

My Captivate project wont play. How can I fix this?

When I choose to preview my project (and even after Publish) I am only able to view an enlarged screenshot (a still shot) of my first slide. The project shows the pause symbol indicating that its playing, but the cursor never moves, no audio or visual appear.
How can I fix this? I've produced dozens of Captivate projects before and don't believe I've done anything different this go around. Anyone out there that may have some advice?

Hate to be a nag, but you are absotively certain that if you simply play the PPT, it sails right along with no pause?
Another thing to note is that when Captivate imports PPT it creates a Flash SWF for the background of each PPT slide. Perhaps it's hanging up on loading one of the SWFs?
You might also try enabling the ever mysterious "Force re-publish all the slides" option in Captivate and see if that makes any difference.

The album art is incorrect on my ipod touch 4th gen. How do I fix this?

My refurbished ipod touch 4th generation 64GB is showing incorrect, wrong, mismatched album art. The album art shows correctly in itunes but incorrect on my ipod. At first, it only showed a few mismatched songs. Then I tried deleting the songs from the ipod and adding them back. Now ALL the songs in my library show mismatched album art. How do i fix this? Some people have suggested that this is a cache problem. Will a reset/restore fix this? What problems will I incur if i try to reset my ipod? Should I select "reset all settings" or "erase all content and settings"? Will I lose all my data? I don't really keep a lot of apps on my ipod so if i lose the data its not a big issue. I just want to know before I start down this path.
