My Ipod updated and now won't work

Pior to this, it was working fine. I connected my Ipod and as usual Itunes sync'd and advised that there was a software update. I updated the software and it installed and now my Ipod won't work. It had a darkened screen with the battery showing, the date on top has changed by skip forward a day, the spoked wheel showing processing is displayed but isn't moving. It seems to be frozen and not responsive to any touch. I tried to reset it as per the website by holding the on/home button for 10secs and it kepted getting locked onto the apple logo and nothing else. I restored it and it took ages and appeared with the same screen and then it seemed to come good. Except all my music and photos are gone and its now frozen on the music screen with no options, just a white screen. It chimes like its on the charger and displays the charging icon on the top, even when its not plugged in. It won't reset again either (home/on) it's just staying on that screen.
I only just got it in Sept 10 so its only four months old and this only started happening after the update to 4.2.1. What's going on?

Then restore "as new ipod" without using the last backup to restore your data and settings from, it may contain corrupt data.

I downloaded the update and now it wont work. It just shows me a screen with a lightning chord going to the Itunes icon. Am I supposed to plug it into my mac or something?

If your problem persists get yourself a micro USB cable (sold separately), you can restore your Apple TV from iTunes:
Remove ALL cables from Apple TV. (if you don't you will not see Apple TV in the iTunes Source list)
Connect the micro USB cable to the Apple TV and to your computer.
Reconnect the power cable (only for Apple TV 3)
Open iTunes.
Select your Apple TV in the Devices list, and then click Restore.
(You may already have a micro USB cable if you have a camera or other digital device)

Downloaded newest Itunes and now won't work.

IPod tough quit during update and now won't turn on or sync up

I was doing the recommened os6 update on my daughters IPOD touch last night and during the update it went to a light blue screen and now it won't do anything. When I hook it up to the computer it won't turn on it and it doesn't show up on itunes. I did the power/home button reboot and it still comes up with a blue screen.

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

I loaded photos and the message popped up to upgrade them in order to save them. I hit "ok", and now the library won't open with the message to use the latest version. I currently have 8.1.2. Is there a newer version that works with OS 10.6.8 ? If so where do I find it ? If not, how do I open the library?

Apply the two fixes below in order as needed:
Fix #1
1 - launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
iPhoto 8 (09) and earlier- run the options indicated
iPhoto 9 (11) and later- run Option #4 to rebuild the database
Fix #2
Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
1 - download iPhoto Library Manager (iPhoto 8 or earlier or IPhoto 11 and later) and launch.
2 - click on the Add Library button and select the library you want to add in the selection window..
3 - Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the
File ➙ Rebuild Library (iPhoto 8 or earlier)
or
Library ➙ Rebuild Library (iPhoto 9 or later)
menu option to rebuild the library.
4 - In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
5 - Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments. However, books, calendars, cards and slideshows will be lost. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.

Updating to IOS 5 won't update and now won't restore my backup.

After creating a backup of my ipod touch and then updating it. It failed the update then saids it needs to restore and saids it cannot restore. Now I cannot update or restore. Anyone have ideas?

reset your ipod touch by click and hold home button and sleep/wake up mode for 10seconds.. then try again

Hi, I have the same problem. Just downloaded the firmware 3.1.1 for the iTouch and installed it. Since that moment only the apps from Apple are working. All other apps like : skype, new york times, acrobat and games are not working! Tried to restart it, to restore it... everything! but nothing is working!

My Aurora Automatically updated and now its not working at all.I cant uninstall it to install firefox.

I'm using the beta Aurora, and it was working fine until it automatically update. It's not working anymore. The short cut key in desktop changes and when you click it. it says"Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permission to access the item". I cannot uninstall it to install a new firefox.

My ipod home button has pushed in to far and now won't work, any suggestions in how to get it back up or should I take it to the apple store?

Most the photos/music/memos are memories I'd like to keep but if I took it into the store would they wipe it?

Itunes just updated and now won't open due to a msvcr issue. Help?

I allowed iTunes to perform an update this afternoon. Eventually, I noticed that there was an error message for the update. After several failed attempts to restart and complete the update, a message window suggested reloading iTunes, which I did. Now iTunes will not open. I get an error message that the problem is due to MSVCR80.dll. Several reboots have accomplished nothing. How can I fix the problem? This is in Windows XP. Thanks.

i opened firefox and it told me to wait a few moments while it updated. when it finished updating the page said i should download to the latest version, and i did. after the d/l was complete, it said it installed correctly and from that point on, neither firefox nor internet explorer work, but the internet connection is fine because other applications work (such as instant messaging). i am on a friends computer right now. please help. thank you
