My ipod was stolen. Can i find with the GPS? If not is there any other way?

My ipod touch was stolen out of my locker. I have all things to prove its my ipod touch. (original box & serial number) I was hoping that it could be tracked by the GPS or some other method. I hope so because I do not have money to buy another one. Plus it was a gift from someone special so i would like to get this back. If you have any other methods please let me know. Thank you so much!

You could find it, if you did install "Find my phone" before it was stolen. But you would have to own a ipod touch 4G, an iphone4 or an ipad to install it. See this article: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4436

I guess no but they can't use it because most likely they restored it and the name of your find my iphone will disappear on your computer even if it is on because it does not have your name anymore.

Following the instructions on the Apple website on how to transfer music to a new computer using your iPod, it basically says that you have to hook up your iPod to your old computer. Seeing as my old computer (a PC running Vista) died a horrible death and no longer works - including the hard drive being corrupted, I cannot do this. We are currently working under BI 2004s SP09. And we are trying to loading Masterdata from R3. For Attributes and text, we have to create Infopackage for DS, load data from R3 into PSA(Not able to into Char directly), then create transformation and DTP to upload data into characteristics.
If we work with transformation and DTP directly, we got nothing!!?? But if that is the only way we can upload InfoObject, the whole process seems more complexe then what happened in BW 3.X.
Or there is way to allow us upload data into Infoobject directly with DTP?

Am wondering whether the DTP was created at the wrong level, the top level as you have suggested, i.e the Infocube (or Infoprovider) level is the correct place to place the DTP.
As for a simpler method, I'd stay clear of the do not access PSA. We found numerous problems with moving to PRD and daily deltas not working correctly.
Hence as such changed loads to OLTP > Infopackage > DTP > Data Target(be it master data).

Whatever, the music is still on my IPod. Is there anyway files on an Ipod can be transferred back into ITunes? Or is there any other way I can try to recover my music files? Also, I no longer have any confidence in ITunes ability to store data efficiently and wonder if there is any way I can back up my IPod outside ITunes?

Your i-device was not designed for unique storage of your media. It is not a backup device and media transfer was planned with you maintaining a master copy of your media on a computer which is itself independently backed up against loss. To use a device with a new computer you transfer the content from the old computer (or its backup) directly to the new computer, not the device to the new computer. Media syncing is one way, computer to device, updating the device content to the content on the computer, not updating or restoring content on a computer. The exception is iTunes Store purchases which can be transferred to a computer.

Every time I try to restore my ipod it downloads the software then it says its processing it, then it says it cant download it right now. Is there any other way to unlock a locked ipod touch without the lockcode?

Later, it still does and says the same thing. Is there any other way to unlock it without the passcode?

The only way to clear off the passcode is to restore the device. You could always try the restore process on another computer that has iTunes just to get the iPod working again, then you could plug it back into your comptuer to sync all of his content back on the iPod.

Apple will not track it for you unless with Find my iPod. Again, whether you have the app or not doesn't matter, I believe you still had the service enabled. It doesn't hurt to try. http://icloud.com, click Find my iPhone after you sign in.

You will need to keep monitoring it. The only time it will show up, is when the thief is logged on to a WiFi network. If he went and restored it already, I'm afraid you are SOL. In that case, grab a paddle.
