My ipod wont charge properly

Ipod Touch 4th Gen keeps charging on and off have to move it around so it will charge, but then it wont. it happened for couple of days until tto the point it totally wont charge anymore, i tried using a different usb cable, tried to charge it on computer even reset and deleted it still dont work. what to do i do?

Another charging source? Does iTunes see the iPod when you connect to your computer?
Look at the dock connector on the iPod. Look for abnormalities like bent or corroded contacts, foreign material and cracked or broken plastic.

my ipod wont charge i have replaced the cord and everything, all it does is show the apple icon then go to a battery sign of red then back to the sign its a constant repeating session what is wrong with it???

Try a different charger and/or power cord. If that does nor work, you could have a bad battery.

Why isnt my ipod touch 4g charging? Every time i put it in the charger the screen shows a picture of a battery with a red bar. I know that means it needs charging but my ipod wont charge!!

Well , my ipod fell alot when its with me. Like now it has a broken screen & before the broken screen its been in water. So the thing is , my ipod wont charge! Hey, my ipod wont charge, yesterday i was out and it rained and my ipod got wet and im wondering if this could affect it? I have tried alot of leads and none of them work, ive only had the ipod for 5 months but it was second hand, is it fixable, can anyone help?

You can does that plug your iPod somewhere else like the sockets on walls because sometimes the mac is getting less power so it cant give a bit of power to your iPod if it gives the mac will shut down
If in the socket it doesn't charge get New power adapted if it still doesn't charge get a new USB cable if it still doesn't charge take it to apple :)

I am very disappointed in the apparent build quality of these players, my fist one's screen stopped working and under the warranty I got a replacement - which is just stopped working completely for no apparent reason after less than 4 months! Useless, will certainly be looking elsewhere for my next mp3 player is this is deemed acceptable - for the features I can get a different brand cheaper than a repair!

- Have you tried differnt cable/USB port?wall chargers
- Have you tried resetting it:
Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- When you connect it you computer doe you se the iPod in iTunes? If yes I would try restoring it. First from backup and then to factory defaults.
- You may have a battery or hardware problem and thus an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store may be in order.
