My ipod wont charge. The screen flashed white yesterday and now it doesnt work
My ipod wont charge. It died yesterday and when i did the lock home button thing the screen flashed white. After that the dead signal wont even pop up now an suggestion. Its a ipod touch 4 generation, 36gb I tried charging it to my computer, wii,tv, wall plug NOTHING WORKS.!
1. The lock button and home thing WONT WORK.
Try:
- Try another cable. Some 5G iPods were shipped with Lightning cable that were either initially defective or failed after short use.
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Apple will exchange your iPod for a refurbished one for $99 for 16 GB 5G and $149 for the other 5Gs. They do not fix yours. Note the older 16 GB 5G has only a front camera and the other 5Gs (16 GB released late last month and the 32 and 64 GB 5Gs have both front and back cameras)

I just updated my iTunes, and I need to delete photos from my iPod 4, and there is a Photo Library that synced to my iPod when i plugged it into my computer, and now it doesnt have the option to delete them off my iPod. How do I get rid of these photos? I have read other questions that say to plug the iPod into the computer and like un-sync it, but I downloaded the new iTunes and it doesnt have a photos tab. Does anyone know how to solve my problem? Please and Thank You, Megan!

I dropped my iPad mini on the floor, but it was not at all a big drop and landed firmly but the lightning cable inside my iPad cracked and from now on I have been using my sisters iPad charger(the same as old one) and now it take 4 hours to charge 8% HELP!!
It sounds like the drop damage more then just the lightning adapter.
I suggest you take it to Apple and ask them to check it out for you.

My I Phone 4 keeps putting me on hold or mute or hanging up on me from my face touching the screen. returned one phone and now my replacement is doing the same thing. this is crazy. my iphone 3 didn't do this! the screen is suppose to turn black when it is near my ear so that you can not do this and then turn on again when you pull it away. This phone is not doing this.
Are you using a case around your phone? If yes, did you make sure the proximity sensor is not covered?
Try without the cover to make sure the sensor is working.
A protection film on your screen can also cover the sensor and result in a dysfunction of the sensor. -
I am trying to instal the latest version of iTunes onto my MacBook Pro, but my computer has been "configuring" the installation since 5pm yesterday and now it is 10:30am. It has never done this before. Can anybody help me out?

This is a copy of ONEof the keys in the registry I changed as told by Apple support today. I also have changed others as instructed by GEAR software support to manually delete GEAR drivers (that I had installed but couldn't delete some of the others they mentioned from Windows system 32. Then some bright spark at work told me I need the Gear drivers so I downloaded the software and installed again.
Sorry, just this minute went to insert image and it is giving me a message saying this sort of content is not allowed?.
The most recent key I altered is in: HKey _local _machine. System\class - 4D36E965-E325-11CEBFC1-08002BE10318. Upper Filter data: Upper filter NTIDrvr SiRem GEARAspiWDN.

My iPod won't turn on and the screen flashes white
the other day while using my ipod it all of a sudden reset and a diagnostics screen appeared and it started running all of these tests after which it stopped working. i then proceeded to plug it into my computer which recognized it and, after disconnecting, worked for about 10 minutes before it kept flashing in between the apple screen and the low battery screen. after a little of that it shut off completely until i plugged it back into my computer. After plugging it back in the screen lit up white and stayed lit until unplugged. once unplugged it flashes white every few seconds and thats it. my computer no longer recognizes it and restarting/reseting does not work. i could use all the help i can get. thanks.

I tried to restore my ipod touch with itunes and now it doesnt work!!
I restored my ipod touch 2g and now when i turn it on it goes to the apple logo and turns off and thats as far as i get.
It means the device is in recovery mode. You'll need to reconnect it to iTunes and restore it again.
You may need to connect it in recovery mode manually using the instructions in this Apple support document.

It is very difficult to offer troubleshooting suggestions when the "os version" you are using is unknown as each os has their own troubleshooting solutions.
Please describe in detail all you have attempted to do in order to resolve the issue. Need details on what happens when you try to boot up from your install disc. Was it the disc that originally came with your computer? -
Ipod went through washing machine and now backlight doesnt work

How long did you let it dry before trying to use it? Put it in a cool, dry place for 5 - 7 days and see if it works after that time frame.
If that doesn't work you can try a 3rd party repair site such as http://www.iresq.com or Google for more. -
