My ipod wont connect to my wifi after ios5 update

Hi everyone,
I just got a 4th gen iPod, and I had trouble setting it up because it couldn't connect to my wi-fi connection. I had to set it up through iTunes instead.
When I go to the Wi-Fi screen in Settings, pick my network name and enter the password, the Wi-Fi icon shows at the top of the screen but there is no checkmark next to the network name in Settings. It still shows the loading wheel, and when I open Safari it tells me that it can't load pages because it cannot connect.

- Reset the iPOd. Nothing will be lost.
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on the router.
- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections

Does the iOS device see the network?
Any error messages?
Do other devices now connect?
Did the iOS device connect before?
Try the following to rule out a software problem:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on your router

When you can't log into public WiFi ...
with an iDevice…
because the Server times out ...
or the login/registration page just won't load ...
********Simply do this***********
Go into settings> WiFi and tap the little info icon for the network you are trying to join
If you see two slider buttons, these are the cause of your woes
One says "Auto Join" (or similar) - you can leave this ON
The second button is "Auto Login" - you must turn this OFF (slide it left so it is grey not green)
Now go back and reselect the network.
If the login page doesn't come up automatically, open a Safari window and enter any address
Bingo!
I have reproduced this issue and solution in 100% of the public WiFi spots which I could previously not access. Please not that I also have "Block Pop-Ups" turned OFF in Settings> Safari, though I do not know if this is a necessary step.
I have filed a bug report with Apple. Feel free to contact them yourselves if this workaround works for you.

My Apple store don't know the answer and have suggested that I connect to a computer and do a full reset and install iOS6 again.
Not too sure how to do that yet.

Never have I ever been so upset at an electronic device
If I had know my iPad would cause such distress after this update I wouldn't have attempted it.
Because of this bloody update a plethora of problems have appeared and I have no clue how to fix it.
Firstly at around 4 this morning the wifi connection was spotty so I had to keep on reconnecting, but that was fixed by getting closer to the router. I thought "problem solved no biggie right?" WRONG! I left my house and came back expecting the wifi to connect again, but that was a fail.
SOOOOO I figured I needed to forget the network and log back in. That didnt work. I should not have done that. I should not have done that.
I got the *Unable to join the network. Dismiss* crap over and over and over again!
So now I figured I'd look up some help! Why not give it a go! So i got that whole (general- reset- reset network) with or without turning on airplane mode bs. Didnt work. Trust me I tried both.Twice.
Since that didnt work I figured a reboot would. No. I turned my iPad off so many times I probably gave the poor thing whiplash
Now this has been going on all day and I finally gave in an hour ago and decided if I restore it to the ios 7.1.1 it'll work again.
Well it must be my freakin birthday cause guess what? You have to turn off your icloud's "find my ipad"to restore and to do that you need a........ wait for it................. internet connection!!!! Brilliant. Just. Brilliant. -_-
Do you FEEL my struggle yet????

Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at

4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are drooping internet connection)

    •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.
Some Wi-Fi losses may stem from a problematic interaction between Wi-Fi and cellular data connections. Numerous users have found that turning off Cellular Data in Settings gets their Wi-Fi working again.
You may have many apps open which can possibly cause the slowdown and possibly the loss of wifi. In iOS 4-6 double tap your Home button & at the bottom of the screen you will see the icons of all open apps. Close those you are not using by pressing on an icon until all icons wiggle - then tap the minus sign. For iOS 7 users, there’s an easy way to see which apps are open in order to close them. Ipod wont show up in itunes after installing update

okay so i hadn't updated my ipod in a couple of months (bad i know but we have really slow internet here and it takes forever to download things) then i downloaded the update a couple of days ago and it started installing then came up with an error saying it failed.
It was late at night so i just switched off my laptop and went to bed, and the next morning i tried to turn on my ipod and it was stuck on the connect to itunes screen. When I plug it in it comes up with a box saying "Windows needs to install device driver software for your Apple Mobile Device (Recovery Mode)" I clicked the locate and install device driver software, but it can't find anything.
It wont come up in itunes and i've tried the restoring thing, but it's not working...maybe i'm doing it wrong? idk help anyone?

I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM! Downloaded 9 point whatever it was, and then it said i needed to update my iPod, so i lugged it in, all was hunky dory and then it said i had to restore my iPod and so i tried that and now it wont restore it, keeps coming up wit some whacky error and the iPod is stuck on the connect to iTunes screen and its driving me insaaaaaaane!!!!

CM2320fxi fax dials but wont connect or answer intermittently after firmware update

After installing the most recent firmware update, the fax will intermittently fail to answer incoming faxes or will dial but not connect on fax send. Will work fine for a day or so, then stop working. Have tried unplugging power source and cables and this works only briefly. Have tested line with a different fax and it works fine.

To get your issue more exposure I would suggest posting it in the commercial forums since this is a commercial product. You can do this at Commercial Forums.

IPhone 4 stuck in "connect to iTunes" mode after iOs5 update. Help!

Here's what's happened:
I wanted to upgrade to iOs5 on my iPhone 4, so I booted up iTunes.
- I have added a couple new songs to my iTunes and haven't synced them in a while (probably not relevant)
- I downloaded iTunes 10.5 and then iOs5
- iTunes then said something about loss of stuff when restoring (but it doesn't matter that much)
- it took ages to install iOs5 onto my iphone and sync
- once it had done that I disconnected my iphone
- It now is in recovery mode (the "connect to iTunes" screen)
- I try connecting it to my PC again (Windows 7) and iTunes doesn't register anything there at all.

My paper work for my linksys says WEP 64 bits. I've tried changing my IPOD to that and it will say put in password and when I do I get "invalid password" or can not connect. Go to System Preferences
Click Network
Highlight AirPort and click Configure...
Choose “By default, join: Preferred networks”
Select your access point.
Remove your access point with the minus button.
Launch your keychain access in Utilities and delete your access point keychain entry.
Reboot
Go back to the “By default, join:” page and click the plus this time to add your access point. Enter the correct password, save, reboot.

Ipod wont connect to comp/itunes

my ipod wont connect to my comp/ charge via usb
we have two different usb's so im pretty sure they arent the problem (they work with the wall charger but not the computer)
im not very computer smart so dont expect much knowledge on my part : )
we've connected with the comp before, but it just stopped connecting

Back up first (Time machine) as much as possible.
Un-install and re install Itunes.
First and foremost download the updated iTunes from apple website. After downloading Uninstall itunes and all its component ( Dont worry, itunes library where your movies and music is located will not be deleted. Please follow instructions on the apple support page). The problem might be the AppleMobileDevice.kext
