my ipod 2 is stuck in the irish app store after os6 upgrade. I tried to fix in app store connected to desktop computer with 10.7.5. software but it wont take. Where are the settings??

If you are trying to switch stores to your own App Store.... Go to the featured tab of the App Store, swipe down to your ID at the bottom. Tap on it. Then tap on View Apple ID. Enter your password. Then go to Country/Region and change it to your App Store in there.

On my iPad was looking for a song by john hooker and ITunes Store said they didn't,t have but the Irish store did and did I want to connect with it, I did, they didn't,t and now I,m stuck in the Irish store and can,t get back to the USA store.

You can try signing out and back in to your AppleID in Settings > iTunes and App Stores or follow this procedure:
1. Go to Settings > iTunes & App Stores > Apple ID.
2. Tap your Apple ID.
3. Tap View Apple ID.
4. Enter your password.
5. Go to Country/Region in the popup window to change to the desired store.

Am stuck in the Settings app main page, How do I get out of it?

I have an iPhone 4S and had accidentally deleted my backup. I wents to turn the back up on and am now stuck in the Settings app main screen. How do I get out of it? I've tried tapping the home button and Siri comes up.

I have Snow Leopard (10.6.8) installed on my iMac 27 (late 2010) but the app store app is not supported on this version. How can I get the proper app store app for SLP? My goal is to get back to Maverick.
I was running Maverick just fine but ran out of disk space. I had Best Buy install a Seagate 3TB drive. I reinstalled OS X 10.6.4 from my Install Disk. Then I upgraded the "software upgrades" to get 10.6.8. Somehow I upgraded the App Store app to a version that is not supported on my current version of 10.6.8.
I appear to be stuck. Unable to go to App Store to down load Maverick.
Also, with the new Seagate 3TB drive, the fan runs continuously. Any ideas how I can move forward?

Regarding your fan issue I believe I am correct in assuming BBY did not install the correct HD. My suggestion is to first do several SMC resets which are designed to help with running fans, carefully read http://support.apple.com/kb/ht3964. for information on what a SMC reset addresses. You can find instructions for doing the SMC resets in https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3603. A SMC reset will ONLY help if the correct HD was installed though.

I have os 10.6.5, but can't get the mac app store

I would like to access the App Store, and even though I have version 10.6 as stated in the requirements, I don't have it on my computer nor can I run software update to get it as the App Store page suggests. My "About This Mac" window says I'm running 10.6.5, but the "Software Update" button is grayed out and when I hover over it says, "This button is disabled because there is no Software Update application."
Seems to me I'm stuck, as I can't run software update to get the mac app store.
Am I missing something simple?

If the Software Update application is not in your Applications folder, then apparently you've inadvertently done away with it. Downloading and installing the standalone Combo Update, as the previous poster has suggested, may install a new copy of it. If it doesn't, you can reinstall it from your original OS installer DVD using Pacifist:

Stuck in the Canadian Apple store!

Hi,
Can someone please tell me how to rectify this problem? I'm stuck in the Canadian Apple store, and I need to move to the US, the system keeps telling me I have seasons passes that I have not expired yet, but they are old shows at this point. Apparently, you have to wait 30 days after the pass has expired. I just want out of the store, any suggestions?

Change iTunes Store Country on an iDevice
1. Tap Settings;
2. Tap iTunes & App Stores;
3. Tap View Apple ID;
4. Enter your user name and password;
5. Tap Country/Region;
6. Tap Change Country/Region;

If you are in iTunes, then sign out of your Canadian account and log back in with your US account's Apple ID. If you don't have one, then you will need to create one which requires a US bank issued credit card and a valid US billing address plus an Apple ID using your US email address.

Sandboxing for the Mac App store

I'm giving it one last try before giving up on getting i Dir app on the Mac App store. This is is where I'm at now.
Attempt 1
I made a app bundle as described in other discussions (a outer starter bundle that starts the director bundle, with a start.ini file alongside it). When sandboxing the director bundle, it can't find the start.ini file anymore, no read-access. I used the temporary-exception.files.absolute-path.read-only=/ giving the app read rights to the whole system, so the user could move the app anywhere. And it worked, the app was sandboxed and codesign, great! But of obvious Apple rejected it.
Ok i didn't really expect them to let it through with those read-rights.
Attempt 2
Same as attempt 1, but this time I hard coded the path so the app had to be in the /Applications folder, and change temporary-exception.files.absolute-path.read-only=/Apllications/my great app/Contents/Resources/ (where the start.ini and the dir bundle is located).
Again it worked find, and if you moved it out of the Applications folder the starter app prompted one to move it back.
And Apple rejected it again, not letting me use temporary-exception (I have appealed this but most likely with no success)

This is where I'm stuck. This time I let the dir bundle inherit the sandbox from the starter app, and it works, the dir app can find it's start.ini file without any temporary-exception, yeahh great! you would think, but no.
For some reason the dir app can't find it's xtras any more?! I tried placing a copy of them in every folder just to see if the link was working only pointing wrong, but no.
I then tried using openXlib and it works for some xtras, like buddy api, but not for the shockwave 3D, mixer and Text...
So has anyone any ideas how to proceed? And waiting for Dir 12 is not the solution I'm looking for.

How can I download new software without the mac app store

I have tried to obtain new software since lion came out and have not been able to do so because I do not have the mac app store on my mac book pro. There is no hard copy of the new software so I find myself pretty much stuck. Is there anyway i can get around this?

Stuck notification in mac app store

The Mac App Store icon in the dock has a stuck notification. It always shows a red 1, but when I click on it, there are no updates to download.
I also occasionally get popup notifications to update, and am then told there are no updates.
When I do have an update and download/install it, the 1 does not go away.
How can I remove this phantom notification on my App Store dock icon?
