My IPS needs to be charged before songs can be loaded

I don't know if anyone has had the same experience. Before I always plugged the shuffle in the computer when it was really low on battery. Then I usally had a hard time adding songs to the shuffle either by autofill or dragging. I tried to restore the shuffle several times and it didn't really help. I also got a lot of error messages like the infamous -36 one. Then I found when the shuffle was almost fully charged, all the problems disappeared all of the sudden. So now I just wait until the battery is full before I update the shuffle and it has been working fine since. Just want to share my experience.

You have 2 versions of Pages on your Mac.
Pages 5 is in your Applications folder.
Pages '09/'08 is in your Applications/iWork folder.
You are alternately opening the wrong versions.
Pages '09/'08 can not open Pages 5 files and you will get the warning that you need a newer version.
Pages 5/5.01 can not open Pages 5.1 files and you will get the warning that you need a newer version.
Pages 5.1 sometimes can not open its own files and you will get the warning that you need a newer version.
Pages 5 can open Pages '09 files but may damage/alter them. It can not open Pages '08 files at all.
Once opened and saved in Pages 5 the Pages '09 files can not be opened in Pages '09.
Anything that is saved to iCloud is also converted to Pages 5 files.
All Pages files no matter what version and incompatibility have the same extension .pages.
Pages 5 files are now only compatible with themselves on a very restricted set of hardware, software and Operating Systems and will not transfer correctly on any other server software than iCloud.
Apple has not only managed to confuse all its users, but also itself.
Note: Apple has removed over 100 features from Pages 5 and added many bugs:

Archive/trash Pages 5, after exporting all Pages 5 files to Pages '09 or Word .docx, and rate/review it in the App Store, then get back to work.

I have an error message reading "Iphone needs to cool down before you can use it". ?

I can only use the phone for maybe 4 minutes before this message appears with a yellow warning triangle. (Iphone 4S)

The phone is not warm and after a couple of minutes it is useable again only to repeat the same message a few minutes later.
I've done a restore which made no difference.
Anyone have any ideas/similar problem?

Have you tried scanning the source image? Disk Utility > Images menu > Scan Image for Restore…

I couldn't tell you what you purchased, and it might even be difficult for an Adobe employee to do so. The business could have a few options as far as what they might have purchased.
Your best bet, considering what little you paid, will be to hand it over to someone you might sell it to and let them try it out. If it works, then it works.

I have just reinstalled by FCP Studio and before I can upgrade to 5.1.2 I have to have 5.1 ! Where do I find it? ASearch of the Apple site doesn't bring it up. Thanks

Are you asking why you can't install FCS 5.1.2 from 5 on your Mac.
FCP 5.1 is a Universial version of the application. It is made to run natively on Intel-based Macs.
You need the crossgrade from FCS 5 to 5.1. It's not a complete necessity.
There's not much of a significance between 5 and 5.1

What type of songs can be loaded from itunes??

I am trying to make a ring tone from garage band for my iphone and some songs from my itunes library won't load. They are not stolen songs or anything like that...most are from cd's uploaded. The one song that will load is from a cd i burned from an album I bought through the itunes store before I bought my new computer...what's going on with all this???

well try to place it in recovery mode, WARNING placing the ipad in recovery mode, will ask you to connect to itunes, and you will need itunes to restore ipad, which will erase all content.
Now follow the same steps as before, but you need to make sure it is plugged in to a outlet with power or a pc that is on, hold the sleep/wake button first, and then the hold the home button, keep holding them down until you get a itunes logo with with usb cord trying to connect to it.
make sure itunes is up to date.
after that you will have to use itunes to restore it.
itunes will tell you the ipad is in recovery mode and needs to be restored, press ok, then restore ipad.
there is not another step to take.
if you are unable to place the ipad in recovery mode, then yes visit a apple retail store, make sure you set up an apt. you can also call in for the issue, but if you do not have apple care plus, or apple care, then you will have to pay $19.00 for them to troubleshoot.

Once a year, you can also perform a step called "deauthorize all computers associated with your Apple ID". It will clear all 5 authorizations so you can reauthorize the one you want.

Guest Account / Do I need to log off before someone can use this?

First of all, I'm not a technical expert . . .
I've enabled a Guest Account as per the Help instructions. Should that now appear in the Finder window, or somewhere else? Or do I need to log off as the main user before it will appear? If so, how do I log back on later? I'm usually the only user, so don't have to deal with logging in, etc.

Log out and it will appear as if your Mac is shutting down, a Log In widow will then open listing the accounts, yours and guest.
Just select which account you want to use, if you have set any password you will need to enter it.

Need to upgrade iPhoto before i can upgrade to Photos. It says it's not available in the UK. Help!

I have iphoto 9.2.1 (don't ask...it's not my computer...) and I can't seem to find a way to update to the latest so I can migrate pix to Photos. It says I need to do it; it takes me to the app store and then says it's not available in the UK.

If her version did not come preinstalled with Lion or later, but with an installer disk, it has probably never been associated with the AppleID and will not show as purchased.
In that case your friend needs to contact the AppStore support to help with the download.
But perhaps the purchase has been hidden. To unhide it, go to Store > View My Account, and go to Manage for Hidden Purchases.
