Am having issue with my iTools software... I can't transfer music to my iphone with my iTools.. If I try it, this msg will pop up...''unable to ascertain the compatibility of iTunes' I uninstall my iTunes and reinstall most current one.. But am still having the same issue... I need ur help people.. What the next thing to do now? Thanks.

iTunes is the only supported software you can use to transfer media to your iPhone.
itools is third party software. If you want to use itools and you have questions or problems, then you'll have to contact the developer of that software for assistance, as you've already been told. As for how to contact them, why don't you look that up on their website...

Looking for a replacement for iTool

I have been using iTool with 10.5.x to run daily, weekly and monthly scripts, as well as cache cleanup, permissions repair, disc verify and repair, etc. I also was using Applejack. I recently upgraded to 10.6 (updated to 10.6.2 now) and upon opening iTool and checking for updates it appears that this app is no longer in development or available. I have also looked into a newer version of Applejack for 10.6.x, which has not been released yet either. Does anyone have any suggestions for a replacement of these apps? I am having problems booting and have booted up with the 10.6 install DVD to run Disc Utility, but it doesn't repair a couple of items and the iMac will not start up completely. I get to the blue screen right before the welcome screen and the spinning gears will show up, disappear, then show up, disappear, and so on. I fear that I may have a bad HDD but would also like suggestions for diag options. My warranty is now expired so I can't just simply go to the Genius Bar and get free assistance. Any suggestions?

Have you done this:
Repairing the Hard Drive and Permissions
Boot from your OS X Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Installer menu (Utilities menu for Tiger and Leopard.) After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the installer. Now restart normally.
If DU reports errors it cannot fix, then you will need Disk Warrior and/or Tech Tool Pro to repair the drive. If you don't have either of them or if neither of them can fix the drive, then you will need to reformat the drive and reinstall OS X.
Your hard drive may be OK but if the directory is too corrupted to be repaired, then you will need to reformat the hard drive. Please report what the DU errors said.

Tried to backup ibooks to PC using iTools, now iTunes will not open the backup folder and my iPad says that it's storage is almost full

It appears that iTools has backed up on the iPad as well, I tried manage storage from settings but all storage settings are not enabled. I downloaded iTools on my PC and pressed the backup on iBooks in applications, it created a folder on my PC that iTunes on the PC cannot read. I stopped what was called backing up to local when I got a message from the iPad saying that storage was almost full.
So how do I 1- repair the iPad storage
2- backup the books in IBooks to my PC (they used to backup easily with iTunes but after the last update of iTunes they just would not)

Can you check something for me please?
Restart your PC. after the PC restarts, bring up your Task manager, and go to the "Processes" tab. Click "Image name" to sort the processes alphabetically.
Now try to launch iTunes.
Does an itunes.exe process appear? If so, does it vanish after a second or so, or does it persist in the Processes tab (even though iTunes itself never shows up)?

Dear Techies,
I have a OLD Java Code that makes use of,
import symantec.itools.util.Timer;
import symantec.itools.awt.ImagePanel;
Since, I am trying to compile it and I DONT have the respective JAR file for symantec I am getting the compilation error:
package symantec.itools.util does not exist
import symantec.itools.util.Timer;
Can anybody please help me as to where I can get this JAR which will compile my code successfully?

Probably a very silly question, but my first place to look is always the source of the product--did you look at the symantec site for old versions of Java?

Syncing iTools with MobileMe

iSync on my older PowerBook G4 still wants to sync with my old iTools account, while iSync on my newer PowerBook Pro wants to sync with MobileMe. The result is two calendars on an iTouch - an iTools calendar and a MobileMe calendar (and, of course, they're NOT in sync with each other). How I direct/change the PowerBook to go to MobileMe instead of iTools? (And, once that's done, how to I delete iTools from any/all Calendar references?

iTools doesn't exist any more. It was completely replaced by .Mac in July 2002, then in July 2008 .Mac was completely replaced by MobileMe.
MobileMe requires Mac OS X 10.4.11 or later. You don't say what version of OS X your old PowerBook is running, but you should update it to at least 10.4.11 for it to be able to successfully sync with MobileMe. Hopefully this should resolve your syncing issues.
Also, since the release of Mac OS X 10.4 iSync no longer has anything to do with syncing to MobileMe (or it's predecessors .Mac and iTools)

"symantec.itools.awt.*" does not exist

I imported the following packages to enable the setting of ImageURL and getting of URL.
import symantec.itools.awt.shape.*;
import symantec.itools.awt.*;
I compiled the application under jdk1.4.1 but it complained that the above packages do not exist. It ran ok in Visual Cafe 4.1a. Just wonder if it is the problem of deprecation?

Most likely it has to do with Classpath. symantec.itools.awt is either a jar or a directory structure with classes. The jar or the root of the directory structure must be in your Classpath.

if you're trying to install office 2011 via cd/dvd and having a hard time - try this - go to microsoft and download office 2011 from there and install it once the download is done and type in your product code when it ask for it..
also if you're running mountain lion - go here - system preferences - privacy and security - general - allow applications downloaded from - put a dot on anywhere...

You can only get your info back, if you included the backup folder into your computer backup routine, or still have your contacts on your computer. If on your computer, use the option to replace the contact info on the phone during the following sync. You can find this option in the info pane, advanced section.

What I am searching for are icons of JComponents like JButton or JTextField etc. . You can see them for example in some GUI builders like JBuilder-Designer and they are looking as if they are Java native.
