My Itouch music isnt working

I got an Itouch for my 15 birthday two days ago, and I downloaded music on it. A day later, every time I go to music a white screen comes up. It doesn't say empty, it looks like it should when you go to songs, but there arnt any songs it's just blank. I tried to put music on it again but it does the same thing. It's like that with videos to. I have turned it off and back on many times too. PLease help!!!

Prepaid iTunes cards, if that's what you mean, are not specific to any version of iTunes. I presume you're following this procedure to redeem the card:

I had the same issue. It wouldn't even play the song right? Just a quick shuffle of all your songs. I had to delete EVERYTHING off of my MP3 App. settings>usage>music>delete. then I plugged back into the computer and reloaded all the music and it works fine. Side note I also turned off icloud IDK if that did anything or not.

Ipod touch 4g, music isnt working through headphones

This problem just recently started happening. I would plug my headphones into my ipod touch, and the music plays outloud. I have tried many things, and it still doesnt work. I have tried:
~restoring
~restarting
~new headphones
~plugging headphones into old ipod (they work)
and they still dont seem to work.. Would anyone know what might be wrong?

Likely a problem with the headphone jack. I would make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store or call AppleCare. You 4g iPod is still in warranty.

Music isnt working at all

The problem: I open my music, click on a song, and nothing happens. I will wait forever and randomly the song starts to play and when it goes on to the next song, that one wont play. After a minute, it moves onto the next song, and nothing plays. And the process repeats until another song plays and then the next song doesnt. Most of the time, songs wont ever play! This has never happened before and its super annoying.
I have no idea why this is happening... maybe because i updated and something screwy happened? The app is working? i really have no clue
I searched on the discussions page and tried rebooting--didnt work, closing and reopening the app--didnt work, and the other remedies also didnt do the trick
Any advice would be very appreciated

To rule out a siftware problem try the following:
- A reset. Nothing is lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory defaults/new iPod
If still a problem then make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store. If your iPod is defective and not abused you will walk out with a replacement at no cost. If there is no store nearby see:

Does the iOS device connect to other networks?
Does the iOS device see the network?
Any error messages?
Do other devices now connect?
Did the iOS device connect before?

least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on your router

No sound through stereo headset
Inspect the headset jack for debris and clean if necessary.
Connect the headset and make sure the connector is pushed in all the way.
Check the volume setting. Adjust the volume by pressing the volume up and down button on the left side of the iPhone.
If you are trying to listen to music and cannot hear any audio, make sure that the music on iPhone is not paused. Try squeezing the headset microphone to resume playback. Additionally, from the Home screen you can choose iPod > Now Playing, then tap Play.
Make sure the latest version of iTunes is installed on the computer that you are syncing the iPhone with (songs purchased from the iTunes Store using earlier versions of iTunes won't play).
Try another Apple headset (some third-party headsets require an adapter to be used with original iPhone).
Try a different song or video.
Check to see if the iPhone alert sounds or other iPhone sound effects exhibit the same audio issues.
Disconnect the headset from the iPhone and see if sound comes from the built-in speaker.

You might need to restore your iPod. Make sure your music is backed up on your computer first though as this will completely erase your iPod.

I had the same problem as well for nearly 3 months.
I had tried bring the Iphone into my phone carrier and they sent me to the AppleStore. When I brought it to them they hooked it up to the diagnostic machine and they told me just to restart the Iphone from the factory settings.
This didn't work either. To complicate things more, other "solutions" seem to only yield temporary success. These temporary solutions included: blowing compressed air into every port, various restart combinations, various factory restore methods.
I had nearly given up until I stumbled upon a support post on Apple's website that finally yielded success.

The solution for me is listed as line 7, which reads:
"Check the receiver mesh (which is on the top front of the device, above the display). If it appears blocked, use a clean, small, dry, soft-bristled brush to carefully and gently brush away any debris."
Apparently, this cylinder shaped, mesh area is in some way tied to what triggers the headphones/speaker selection. I am not sure how, but I can say that after gently brushing it out my sounds are working again; specifically my music is now able to play directly off the speakers and my Iphone apps all play their sounds agian.

My sound is fine but my mic isnt working. how do i fix or figure out whats wrong with it

Title says it. I just did a clean wipe on my computer and now my mic isnt working on vent or skype, i dont know what is wrong with it. When i go to my sound hardware it says my external mic, IDT high def audio codec is enabled..

Same thing here. Must be update related. Who knows. Tried to go into ventrilo today and nada. Can hear people fine, microphone not picking. In my devices it says my Anvex Virtual Audio is "not available", same with the "IDT High Definition Audio Codec. Now I'm starting to get a little agitated. No diagnostics have come back with a ping on the issue. All settings seem fine. I HAVE AUDIO, as in my speakers are working so **bleep**.
I'm lost. No clue how to fix it. Guess I'm no longer raiding and that if this isn't working I'm going to go buy a Dell and rage beat this piece of **bleep** in the yard. That's right. I am taking 3 years of continual frustration out with HP errors, Vista complications and overall disatisfaction.

If it gets far enough to reject your serial number, it won't help to download it. It must have installed ok.
What is the message you get (DON'T tell us the serial number!!)?
Does it mention a "qualifying product" by any chance?
