Hello guys,i bought my ipod touch 4th gen 5 months before...and today i droped it by mistake.Now the screen is broken but all the apps are working.i went to apple reseller,from where i bought it,to ask about the broken screen,the guy said we cant help you.what am i suppose to do now?i am from India

Ipad 4 touch screen got broken :( NEED HELP!

Guys, i have an ipad4 which i bought last june 2013. The screen broke cause it slipped and it cracked so my dad took me to this place where they replaced it for a minimum amount but lately the screen has been acting up and so i got it changed again and after 2 weeks it's starting to have troubles again! My Nokia 7610- Supernova screen is broken, need navigation to switch on bluetooth. & im need some assistance on how to switch on the bluetooth as I didn't save my numbers on the sim card! Obviously this will have to be directional pushes on the keypad as I can't see anything on the screen! please help.

Unfortunately this is notoriously difficult to convey and what appears logical to poster inevitably doesn't to the recipient; whereas on S60 devices there is the hope of keyboard shortcut or voice activation defined this option is not available here.

E56 screen broken - need help getting number off p...

I hope someone can help me. The screen on my E65 has broken and I need to get the number off the phone before sending it to be repaired. Without a screen I am flying blind so have no idea what keys I need to be pressing.
I have tried connecting the phone to my PC with PC Suite but the PC software doesn't recognise the the phone has been connected. Is there something I need to do on the phone to complete the connection?
The other way to get the number would be to copy them from the phone memory to the SIM. Can anyone tell me the key presses I need to do to achieve that?

When you connect your phone to your pc with the usb cable, a list if connection mode options normally appears on your phone display. You need to select "Pc Suite". What you could do is plug in phone to usb, select. If that doesn;t work, disconnect, reconnect scroll down one and select again. Keep trying until it finally connects to PCSuite. There are only 4-5 options so you won;t have to try that many times.

I am having problems rebooting my mid 2009 macbook pro (grey screen other issues), need help!

I am having problems rebooting, I have experienced the same problem as others with the grey screen but my case is a little different, It started with my mid 2009 macbook pro acting a little slower than normal, the screen would freeze, mouse wouldnt move and i'd be forced to "force reboot" this went on for a couple of days until i was tinkering with the wifi connection and it froze again. I had to reboot and this time i noticed that it took a long time to get to the login screen. i put in my password and it went into infinite load (i also tried the guest account and other accounts with same result). i tried rebooting again and the same thing would happen. after several reboots, the screen just stayed grey, sometimes with the apple logo and gear sometimes without it. Since its a 2009, (and for the most part, still works like a champ) i decided test the ram, i took one stick of ram out at a time to see if i could notice anything wrong with them. when i stuck just one in, the mac was still having the same problem rebooting. i pulled that ram and and stuck in the other and i noticed that this time the apple logo never appeard and a big crossed out circle appeared. figuring that the ram must be the problem, i ordered new ram and installed it. i noticed that when i rebooted for the first time with the new ram it was rather quick and took me straight to the login screen and i was able to log in with no problem. at this point i thought the problem was solved, but i noticed the macbook still acting funny. at first, none of my files appeared on my desktop or in the finder window. after about 20 minutes, everything magically popped up. i also noticed long pauses/freezes with the colored pin wheel spinnig. i closed the laptop and opened it again and the screen just stayed black. i tried rebooting again, and again i got the grey screen with no signs of being able to log in... i waited about 20 minutes and tried to reboot again and again i was able to log in, however the macbook is still acting slow and will freeze with no signs of unfreezing without a reboot.
my macbook is 5 years old and has plenty of miles on it, so i understand if the thing needs to be replaced alltogether but does anyone know what could be the issue? could the bad ram have corrupted the hard drive in anyway? would re-installing the OS fix it?? and if so, how would i do that if i downloaded mavericks from the app store? are there any other solutions to this problem?
all my files and what not are backed up on an external HD so theres nothing on it that i'd miss desperately if i had to whipe the hard drive but id really like to get her working again without any whiping of the HD. if anyone can help me out, it'd be greatly appreciated

It is very difficult to offer troubleshooting suggestions when the "os version" you are using is unknown as each os has their own troubleshooting solutions.
How large is your hard drive and how much hard drive space do you have left?

Grey Screen after update - need help

My friend just called me - her macbook is stuck on the grey screen with apple logo - after she done the security updates and restarted.
She can boot into Windows XP (bootcamp) without any issues.
I'm going over there tomorow to help her out and was wondering if someone could give me a little guidance as to what needs to be done.
I guess I can try booting off of the instalation disc and reparing permissions, but after that I'm pretty much lost. Any help is greatly appreciated

I've had this problem twice, and each occurred after a security update.
What helped me was the following:
-Take out your powercord and your battery. Press the power button for about 5 seconds.
-Then, insert your battery and powercord, start the computer, and hold down AppleCTRL+PR.
From what I understand, one of these two steps resets the power management system on the macbook.
After you perform these two steps, your computer may still hang at the grey screen with the apple logo. However! Let it hang for about 5-10 minutes and it will automatically restart, and boot properly.
You can also try calling Apple support on your friend's behalf ... they were more than helpful.

4s screen not working need help

HELP!
I dropped my phone on its back last night and now the screen does not turn on. there is no physical damage to the exterior. I can still text and recive calls, functions are all normal I just can not see what I am doing. Sound is fine as well I can switch from vibrate to loud I can adjust volume. My screen just stays dark. I think I might cave dissconnected the LCD cable or something. If that is the case I dont know where that cable is.
If you think there is some other issue please let me know. If you can provide a picture or diagram of where that LCD cable is that would be great so I can go in and re-connect it. thanks

You wouldn't need to see the screen to backup unless you have a passcode on the device. Is that the case? You should be able to plug the device into the computer with iTunes and just select backup now.

6280 Screen Damage, but need help from 6280 users ...

The screen on my 6280 is damaged (I can only see about a 1cm strip running down the right hand side but the rest of the screen is black).
My replacement is coming tomorrow, so I need to copy all contacts from phone to SIM. Since I can't see very much, can somebody tell me step-by-step (I am doing this blind!!!). By the way, my menu is in the list format.

ok i will tell you step by step!
ok on the list menu go up 2 times then press select
then press select again to go on names
press options with the right button
go 1 up and press select (to mark all)
press the right button again to go to options
then press select to move marked
then press select again for the first option to move the contacts onto the sim.

Home screen frozen! need help!

Hi
i was downloading some app's and such today on my mums balckberry curve 8520
then i downloaded two themes the first one rebooted fine and worked when it came back on,
however with the second one it rebooted then it came on and it has no been froze/crashed
on the home screen i have tried taking the battery out etc but it still keeps happening!
can someone give me some help before i take it back to the shop.

Start the smartphone in Safe Mode - for instructions, see KB17877.
On the smartphone Home screen, go to Options > Applications (depending on theme, it may be Settings > Options > Applications).
Select the theme you think is hanging the device, press the Menu key, and select Delete.
Pull the battery to reset the smartphone and allow it to boot up.

Recovery problem and blue screen .. i need help

i have mac book pro 10.6 . the system is been down for around 7 days and can not fix it . when it's start up i found blue screen and can not access to anything because all my apps are hide. also i can not access to safe boot .
i'm trying to recover the system but i tried to click on command + option but i could not find recover HD option there is only one option . also i dont have recover cd to recover the ssystem i'm trying to fix it by using command line but it doesn't work as well
i have used this command line via click on command +s :

rm /var/db/ .applesetupdone
shutdown -h
but this command only create for me new user ... i'm gonna loss my minds because of many youtube videos . please help me

IChat screen sharing wireless, need help

I have a workbook pro, my son has a workbook. when at my house Ichat works great. we are able to I-chat all features. however... not much point if we are in the same room.
When he goes home we are no longer able to screen share. and we can not screen share when we are both at his house. I need this feature to work (or one like it) I teach him math and we are planning on using the bamboo pad to write equations we can both see (he has a pad too.)
I am sure that the problem is differing setups with our wireless routers. he is using a motorola wirless router, I am using a linksys. (the motorola was originally mine, then I went heterogenous since I was also using a linksys print server and a linksys range expander (no longer in use)

In the set up pages of the Linksys go to the Administration page.
Enable UPnP (Disable any Port Forwarding, Port Triggering or DMZ in Games and Applications)
In Security make sure the Block to Anonymous Pings is Off and also that the Firewall is Off.
If the Motorola routes then get him to do the same at his end.
iChat 4 uses 20 ports. One of these is Random - the one that handles the Screen Sharing part.
Port Forwarding and port Triggering cannot handle this random port and DMZ is too insecure.

Stuck at screen with apple need help

my ipod is stuck at the start up screen with just an apple then suddenly goes to the unlock screen and immediately turns black then back to the apple my computer will not recognize it so i cant restore HELP ME

Before you try anything else, try to reset your iPod. Hold the Sleep/Wake button and Home button down together for about 10 seconds until you see the Apple logo. This should fix it but if it doesn't, you may have to put your iPod into a recovery mode and fix it through iTunes. Here's at least one way to do that: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808

With all these operations I recommend you TAKE OUT MEMORY CARD and DO A BACK UP OF YOUR STUFF!!!
NOTE: In front of the hash key ( #) there is also a STAR key that people often miss and state that the code does not work.
1.. *#7780# - Restore factory settings - resets all the settings to the default ( you will not lose any data) Make sure you back up your data as you will lose all of it when you perform option 2 or 3 on this list. The default code for ALL operations listed here is 12345.
2.*#7370# - Reformat your phone (out of the box, tho keep in mind that most newer nokia phones at least n series, e series and s60 based phones have udp - user data preservation so not ALL data may be lost. still it is a good idea to always do a back up of your stuff.)3. This you perform as a last resort. Nothing else is working.If the phone is not showing any activity, proceed with hard formatting , turn off your phone, hold the following buttons while pressing the power button. (the default code is 12345)
3. hard reset - hold the following buttons * (star key), 3 (number button) and talk/green key. turn on the phone and do not release those buttons until you see the Nokia boot up screen. once you feel the phone power up you can let go off the power button while still holding all three buttons ( for Nokia 5800XM - use the following buttons to do a hard reset, /GREEN/RED/CAMERA keys pressed all at once on power up. this will only work on 5800's that have firmware version 20... and up. ) For Nokia N97 (unofficial version but works) is SHIFT /SPACE BAR / BACKSPACE while holding the power button. Again do not let go until you see the handshake screen.
If these codes are not working the only thing for you to do is contact your Nokia Care Center/Service for assistance.

Screen goes blank - need help!

Some weeks ago the screen on my iMac started to go blank. The only way to recover was to re-boot. The problem got worse until the machine became un-usable. I tried everything I knew, including switching off and unplugging to reset the pram as suggested, but eventually took it to the Apple Store where the 'expert' reset the pram the old way holding down the cmd/opt/p/r keys on startup. Problem solved (why do Apple give bad advice to clear the pram?).
Something had corrupted the software that drives the screen. The only program that I could think might have done that was ScreenRecycler which I have now stopped using. However, the problem has started to re-appear, the only new program I have used is Audirvana which being a music program should not affect the screen.
Has anyone else had a similar experience? I would welcome any thoughts and advice.

AFAICT, Apple's advice matches what you stated the tech did. All I can suggest is to Zap the PRAM and Reset the SMC, then try again.

my screen broke
i took it to the apple shop and they said my guaranty doesn't cover. and it will be more expensive to fix than buying a new mac.
does any one elso knows of a cheeper way of fixin! ( someone told me i can but a used computer in ebay cheep and just use the screen for my lap top is this true?)

i have no idea one day i opened and it had a little line, by the next day it was a huge crack!
i thoght that i can just get a replacement form an old one. !!! and change it!
