My iTouch still doesn't show up in iTunes after the latest update...
About maybe 1-2 weeks ago? I updated my iTunes to version 10.1.1.4 since I haven't updated it in A LONG time, then by the moment I finished updating, my iTouch's icon/option doesn't show up in iTunes anymore (before it was all fine).
And an annoying message will keep showing up, with the messages:
Title: Microsoft Windows
"MobileDeviceService has stopped working
Windows can check online for a solution to the problem."
-> Check online for a solution (recommended) *which I clicked, and no help*
-> Close
I have tried connecting my iTouch to my other USB port on my PC, reinstalling iTunes, system restore (tried to get back to the oldest version I used, but failed).
Out of solution, I waited for a new update to come, and it's here, version 10.1.2.17.
But everything is still the same!! (And yes, I have repeated the possible solution I have tried before for the 10.1.1.14 version)
While I asked for some helps on the internet, some people suggested me to reset my iTouch, because they think maybe something in there is broken or corrupted. But if I do reset it and the problem is still unsolved, I'll end up with an empty iTouch that can't sync anything at all...And I still need to use it everyday for internet purpose or whatnot...so I still didn't reset it yet...

Only if y can get the iPod out of recovery mode with the program. Otherwise you will have to restore via iTunes which erases the iPod.

I regret to learn of any issues after the software update. Let's check some things out on your phone! Does the text message say who it came from? Is it a contact you message on a regular basis? Are you using the messaging application that came with the device, or a 3rd party application?
I recommend deleting any unneeded messaging threads and then powering the device off/on. Keep me posted!

HT6030 Do you still have problems with Mail in Maverick after the Mail update 1.0
After the Mail Update 1.0 in Maverick I stil had problems with my passwords and with syncing my mail acoounts (google, icloud and my provider), Finally I removed Avast Antivirus and ..... all my problems are gone. Everything is working fine now. Avast is incompatible with Apple's new mail client!!!
Hello is anyone from Adobe out there? Is anyone from Adobe monitoring the forum? The 1.6 update has stopped the app from crashing when you were trying the sync function to the creative cloud.
However, the sync function is not working as it did in the past. If you make a change in an already existing file in the Photoshop touch app and save it, the sync to the creative cloud results in an explanation point instead of a check to the left of the filename. Toggling the sync button on and off doesn't change the exclamation point to a check. The blue line goes across the file as it normally would when syncing but the explanation point remains. As a result, the changed file is not being synced with the creative cloud.
I am not sure of the exact amount of time it takes, I am guessing about 24 hours. After about 24 hours when you do a sync, the file that had the explanation point to the left of it does change to a checkmark. However, you now have two files. One that reflects the change and has the word conflicted now added to the file name. As well as a file with the same name that doesn't reflect the change and no conflicted added to its file name.
For me at least the sync function no longer causes the Photoshop touch app to crash. However, the 1.6 update also doesn't sync properly to the creative cloud.
Making a change to a file in the Photoshop touch app and trying to sync it shouldn't result in the file not being synced or in a conflicted file. Could someone please help me in regard to this issue. -

Have you tried using a different cable? Does it connect to any other computers and/or iTunes libraries?

I have two other laptops, an Ipod touch and samsung phone on the same router and all work fine. I have connection to the router but diagnosis shows no internet access. my main problem is that my phone isnt showing up anywhere on my lapetop or itunes since the udate of itunes!
and i tired doing re-installing the Apple Mobile Device USB Drive but i have Windows 8 and the directions are not listed for that software.i have the same problem. although my mac didnt ask for restart, installation stopped half way through the updating, and it comes up with unknown error 1 , once ive managed to exit recovery mode( the usb and itunes logo) apple logo appears, and then its loading and THEN ITS TURNING ITSELF OFF and ON - > after that apple apears - loading... and yeah goes in circles.
I've tried to restore previous copy but itunes wont let me do it anymore, it comes up with an error.
I've edited hosts, and it's still not working.

Iphone won't show up in itunes after installing latest itunes update
I just installed the latest version of iTunes. Now it won't recognize my iPhone 4. It shows up as a camera on my computer (Windows XP Pro) but no matter what I do, I can't get iTunes to see the iPhone. Any ideas?
