my itunes cant work properly on windows7 ultimate. i try to reinstall it like aplle.com say, but it doesnt work. it cant access itunes store, it cant backup idevices, low respond when idevices is plug. three times i reinstall it, but still like that.

Close your iTunes,
Go to command Prompt -
(Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
(Win XP SP2 & above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
netsh winsock reset
Hit "ENTER" key
Restart your computer.
If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
Now launch your iTunes and see if it is working now.
If you are still having these type of problems after trying the winsock reset, refer to this article to identify which software in your system is inserting LSP:

My Ipod touch works fine on my windows XP pro system but does not sync photos and podcasts from my other computer at home: new HP Multimedia system running Vista Home Premier. It goes through all the motions but will only add a few photos from a file and they are partially corrupt. Many times it won't add any selected photos. well, it is easy. i just wish it to sync in a manner that i do not get frustrated with it. it just does not like to sync when i open up itunes on desktop to update apps when they have updates. i have got to revert to plugging in the phone and ipad for it to sync and update apps. if you read through the whole thing you would have found it out. all i am saying is that itunes 10.6.1 and ios 5.1 have bugs and issues that make it hard for a iphone and ipad user to sync and update apps. itunes is slow to open with windows 7 as well as i did not mention that before but i have mentioned it in my other forum posts.

ITunes Not working Properly/Not Syncing on Network properly

For weeks and weeks now on my Computer iTunes will not see or recognize my iPhone 4S and my iPad 3. When I try to sync by opening iTunes on desktop and then wake up pho ad iPad it does not see it and will not show them in iTunes no matter what I do. I have reset network, forget network, renew lease on wifi network and shut down both and turned back on and nothing has worked!!! I have reported this many times as well in the past. It is like Apple themselves have changed the way iTunes suyncs with the phone and ipad when trying to sync to make updates on apps.I am at wits end!!! Since they did the update to 10.6.1 it has been a pain in the you know what to sync to update apps.I got to plug both in to computer for them to sync and update apps or update apps from the iphoor ipad itself. Please Apple or someone who knows what needs to be fixed please fix it it is very aggrevating it has been weeks like this and I would have thoughht that Apple would have gotten the hint when I have seen others complain about this as well. It is from what I see most of the time it is with Windows 7 computers that have this syncing connectivity issue but I do see it happen in Wndows Vista as well as I have both operating systems here with 2 iphones, 1 iphone 4s logged in to windows vista when updating apps and the other which is windows 7 and it has ipad 3 and iphone 4s attached to it to sync when updates to apps become available. Video will skip. Audio continues as normal, but the video is like it is

Manualy renaming tracks in itunes not working properly?

this being my 5th or 6th ipod since ive started collecting them several years ago, i shouldnt even have this question
i manually manage all of my songs/play lists through itunes to begin with
when i rename the artist, album or genre i have no problems,
but when i try and rename the NAME of the track is almost seems that itunes clicks me out of the window making it almost impossible for me to rename a song.
i just updated to itunes 7.4.3, which i thought would solve the problem, and also restored my ipod once, which also has the most upto date software on it.
i just had a 5generation 80 gig ipod about a month ago which i sold to buy the new thinner classic... i had NO problems ever with that one... but this new classic ipod made me install a new version of itunes which has done NOTHING BUT GIVE ME PROBLEMS.

Yes! I've noticed the same thing in the most recent release or two of iTunes. Occasionally I like to change the track name from the main iTunes screen by using the <F2> key to go into "text edit" mode while the track is selected. This always worked fine before. But now, if I try to use the arrow keys or the delete key to move through or edit the selected text (track title), it seems to "save" the change (or not?) and immediately kick me out of "edit mode".
There's something funny going on. Sure wish it would go back to the way it was before. Editing track names from the main screen is no longer really viable.

ITunes not working properly after Firefox upgrade. What is corrective measure?

iTunes "store" indicates error #42403. It does not load. However, radio does work. This seemed to happen after I upgraded Firefox.

Here's an update:
1. The fan problem had to do with WindowsXP (new installation and/or drivers). The fan would simply not obey the Battery Optimized Cooling Method, and would work at full throttle all the time. Since i could not pinpoint the problem, i decided to use Acronis True Image Corporate Workstation to create an exact copy of my old configuration and HD contents, re-installed that, and that resolved the fan problem.
2. Concerning the new 80GB 5400rpm 16mb hard disk, well, it is very noisy compared to the original Fujitsu HD the laptop had. I decided to return it next day, and got a Hitachi Travelstar 80GN instead (80GB 4200 rpm 8mb) which is very quiet, just like the Fujitsu 40GB one.

Itunes isnt working properly

I recently got a new computer. It has vista, which I was a little worried about because of all the problems it has had with iTunes and what not. I figured those problems would be worked out by now, but to my disma there are still problems. Well atleast with my computer. I have tried everything to get my library from my old computer to my new one and it still has not worked. I have tried to follow the directions online to manually manage my music. I have put my music as a folder on my iPod. I have reinstalled iTunes three times. I have downloaded a third party software to try to transfer them. I have also tried to call the support line but they suggested I post a question. So here it goes. Does anyone know why iTunes will not take all of my music in any way shape or form? I have authorized the computer, although most of my music has not been obtained 100% legally so that doesnt really do me any good anyway. I have gone into my preferences and changed a bunch of stuff. I have tried everything sort of putting all my 1000+ songs onto cds. So if anyone has had iTunes mess up this bad and you have figured out why please enlighted me. Thank you

Either itunes isnt working properly or im just stupid!

So i tried creating a ringtone on itunes 8 but its def not working. I could pick which part of the song i wanted. However, when i was finished, i didnt see a "create ringtone" or anything. All i saw was "preview" and half of the word "cancel" (im assuming-it was cut off). I dont have a slide bar to move over or anything. What in the world is the problem?!
I tried uninstalling and installing but I still have this problem. Please help!!
(I also had the same issue when I first installed Itunes and wanted to register my iphone but couldnt continue because it cut off near Cancel?

I have recently perchased a HP laptop with windows 8, I am not overly impressed with the design but what really upsets me is that my itunes is not picking up my iphone or ipad when opening Itunes on the laptop. On the off chance that it does, it just connects and reconects but does not go sny further.

Run windows update to ensure that your system is current (even if you just purchased it, there may be updates available).
After running windows update, you may need to remove and reinstall iTunes to make sure everything is in the right place.

Help Viewer in Finder and iTunes not working properly

When I click on any of the links in the Finder help viewer, nothing happens; if I type something in the search box, a list of topics display but if I click the show button for any of them, nothing happens. Same in iTunes. Looks like my help is screwed up with Apple apps. Any suggestions?

/Home/Library/Preferences. Open the Preferences folder, locate those files and drag them to the Trash. Empty the Trash and reboot. This fix should also correct your iTunes Help Viewer also. If this doesn't do the job, post back and we'll dig deeper!
