My itunes card won't pay my outstanding balance

I have an outstanding balance on itunes. I purchased an itunes card to pay it off, but when I redeemed the card, it just posted to my account instead of paying it off.

I would also like an answer to this question as I am having the same problem!

Is the store that you bought the card from nearby so that you can try going back and asking if they can activate the card properly ? If it's not, or if they can't/won't activate, then you will need to do as the message says and contact iTunes Support (these are user-to-user forums) : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then iTunes Cards And Codes (you will probably need to give them images of the front and back of the card, and possibly its receipt)

Expanding on what Tim said to make sure it's clear, only the carrier to which the iPhone is locked can authorize unlocking. If Optus is the original carrier, as would seem to be the case, O2 would not be able to unlock it. Only Optus can authorize the unlock, so you'll need to contact them. They say, though, that only the account holder can apply for unlocking, so you might not be able to get it unlocked and will have to work through the person from whom you bought the iPhone.

Please provide valid payment card information and lick Done to pay your outstanding balance..." . So what am i supposed to do? how i can use my account continue..Please help me!

You will need to put in a valid payment method e.g. a credit card (I don't think that debit cards are still accepted) that is registered to the same name and address as on your iTunes account and was issued by a bank in that country, or possibly (if they are available in your country) you may be able to use iTunes gift cards - until any outstanding amounts have been paid you won't be able to buy or download content from the store.

How in the world would I pay my outstanding balance of 40 dollars If apple will not let me? I had already voiced my concerns to apple via email and the only means I could pay my outstanding balance as per their instruction is through itunes gift card. I am unable to use credit cards or debit cards as my apple id account is associated with too many cards (Yeah Right) so in effect I am compelled to purchase an itunes gift card which I did from an online store. HOWEVER, I am unable to use the said gift card as it is only for the US itunes store as I found out in my attempt and my account is set on the Philippine itunes store which renders the gift card absolutely useless; furthermore I cannot switch countries due to the RESTRICTION. I went to support AGAIN and still got the intstruction that I need to use itunes gift cards to pay the balance. I went to other retail stores and told me itunes gift cards are readily available for purchase but it is for the US store only and NEVER for the Philippine store. I went back to the Power Mac center, told them this and they did confirm with the fact that there is no such thing as an itunes gift card for the Itunes Philippine store and they even suggested that I need to make a new account. ***? Make sure all fields are entered correct include things like home phone number and that billing information matches exactly to the billing information thatthe credit card company has. If it still looks right and is not working contact the credit card company and then the iTunes Store support team.

I had the same error when trying to update my apps on my ipod touch. I tried to input my security code numerous times to no avail. I also made sure my billing address was the same as what my bank had on file. To fix the issue I went into iTunes, logged onto the iTunes store, went to account settings and reviewed my recent purchases. Turned out that I had made a recent purchase and didn't have enough money left on my credit card to pay for it at the time. I paid off the credit card, and then input my security code once more and now it works fine. I've heard that some debit or pay as you go credit cards require a minimum balance, so make sure you have at least that amount in your account.

Have you tried logging out and back into your account on the device or iOS device that you are using, and checked the purchase history on your account to see if anything could have taken the $6.04 e.g. did you owe iTunes anything and/or have and auto-renewing subscriptions or pre-orders that were due ?

Hey Guys! About a month ago i have a visa gift card registered to my itunes account and it had about $4 on it left so i bought one game with that on my iphone. Then I clicked on another game and it let me download that, and 2 more after that. I found it strange that they let me keep purchasing, but i figured that they would charge me through my service provider for my phone. Well a couple weeks later i tried to download a free app onto my iPhone, but it said there was an error with my last billing transaction, so i logged on to my itunes account on my computer and it said i had an over due balance of $28.20. So after speaking to apple they told me that i SHOULD BE ABLE to buy two $15 iTunes gift cards, register them and they should pay off for my over due balance. So after buying and registering these 2 $15 cards (total of $30) i went into my purchase history and it said i have $28.20 overdue, but i do have enough to pay off my outstanding balance, so i clicked on "Pay." At the top of my screen on itunes it says "Accessing iTunes Store" for 2 seconds then it goes away and nothing else happens...i sign out and back in i still have $30 in my account, i close iTunes and reopen and i still $30...Can someone PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So basically I downloaded iOS 8 and friggin thing won't let me access mulltiple things like my Imessages, face time, and before my internet would connect even though it had 3 signal strength. Now it doesnt allow me to redeem iTunes cards. So what do I do know?

I'm having some trouble redeeming my iTunes card on my iPad. When I type the code in and click "redeem" or "next", nothing happens. I've double checked my Internet connection and the way I typed in the code, but both are fine. I've done everything I can think of to try to fix this on my own, but I've run out of ideas. I have a twelve hour road trip coming up soon and would really like to have new music to listen to by then! Please, help me.
