My itunes crashed and returned with 400 duplicate of purchased songs? What can be done ?
I was making a playlist and Itunes (by far the worst product ever put out -- this new Itunes simply *****), and when I got it back it duplicated over 400 songs. How can I clean up besides doing one by one?

Please note that the "Display Exact Duplicates" has changed to "Show Exact Duplicate Items" and is now located under the View menu. You'll still want to hold down the Alt or Option key (for Mac OS X) or the Shift key (for Windows).

After installing the latest itunes/quicktime update I can no longer acces the itunes store nad my iphone does not complete syncing. What can I do to fix this? I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling itunes. I have uninstalled and reinstalled windows updates. I have checked the firewall settings. what else?
The problem is with version 10.4.1. I had to reload 10.3 to get it to work. The recommendation from a previous poster worked for me. Here was their list of steps:
Go to Control Panel>Programs>Uninstall
2. Uninstall the following Apple programs in the following order:
a. iTunes
b. QuickTime
c. Apple Software Update
d. Apple Mobile Devices Support
e. Bonjour
f. Apple Appllcation Support
3. Reboot PC
4. Find, Download and Install iTunes 10.3 (you can find it at FileHippo.com)
If you start iTunes now you will get an error message saying that the current iTunes library was created by a newer version of iTunes. To correct this:
5. Go to your Music>iTunes folder and delete the "iTunes Library.itl" database file
6. Within this iTunes folder find and open the "Previous iTunes Libraries" folder and locate the most recently dated "iTunes Library (date).itl" database file.
7. Copy and Paste this file back into the iTunes folder
8. Rename this "iTunes Library (date).itl" file by removing the date. It should say "iTunes Library.itl"
9. Reboot PC -

Can anyone help? I'm getting very frustrated since last update my IPhone and IPad Mini keep crashing. I will be in e middle of games or browsing or making a phone call!, and it crashes and brings up the black screen with the white Apple in the middle. It take a few mins to open again!!! Very annoying. May have to Restore??
First thing to try is a reset: Hold down the home button along with the sleep/wake button until you see the apple, then let go.

My iPhone 3gs has frozen while doing update 5.0.1 I think it was. All it shows is the iTunes logo and the usb cable on the screen. I will not turn on or off. I have tried reconnecting to iTunes but nothing happens. Have held both buttons for 10 seconds etc and nothing is working! What can I do?

The link refers to an updater for iPod software, not iTunes. At the point in time that that software was current, there was no iTunes for Windows; iPods used MusicMatch. Leaving aside the fact that that software probably isn't available anymore, current iPods require a (relatively) current version if iTunes.

ITunes crashed in the middle of downloading newly purchased songs
I confirmed the buying of an album, and it automatically started downloading from my shopping cart. It downloads one song then I get an error saying iTunes has to close sorry for the inconvenience, so it closes. I get back into iTunes and my shopping cart is empty and I only have one song out off my recently purchased album downloaded. Any help?
Go into Advanced>Check for Purchases. It should continue downloading then

did you back up your music to another hard drive? if not, the only music you can get back is purchased music from i tunes.

I am having an issue where safari keeps crashing and returning to the home screen on an ipad1
safari on my ipad1 keeps crashing and returning to the home screen. rebooting does not fix the problem neither has a full reset through itunes from a backup or setting up as a new machine. Cab nay body help?
If restoring from a backup doesn't help, you must have something corrupt in the backup - like a Safari bookmark perhaps - or something in the Safari history. Try the last tip in this list first.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
Close Safari and all apps. Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Quit/close open apps by double tapping the home button and the task bar will appear with all of you recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus (-) sign in the upper left corner to close the apps. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.

My itunes crashes and I can't open it all. Just installed the latest version 10.5.1. I can't even get it to open to try and figure out what is wrong. Can I uninstall it and reinstall the less recent version which was working? Help!!
I am not a computer guru, the reason that I love my MacBook Pro is that I don't have to worry about it, now I am worrying, because I can't get into my itunes at all. I would trash the new version of itunes and find an older version (I did try reinstalling 10.5.1) as long as I was reassured that I wouldn't lose all my music.

On the software update panel, it's all about cloud service.
Looks like 10.5 is the end of the road for me.
I can see having gaming on cloud, but with the work I put into my tunes, no way.

Very Frustrated and Wasted Money Please Help Me...... Itunes crashed and all of my libraries would not download, the songs that did came back 3/4 times which caused me to put everything on my new Hard Drive,I am have a bunch of files and libraries from Itunes with music that will not upload back to Itunes and I have a bunch on my IPOD that is irreplacable....On top of all these this I do not remember my encryption code but never remember locking it either. What do you mean by encryption code?
- Do yu mean the for some reason when you want to restore from backup iTunes asks for the password?
- Do you mean that it has a screen-lock passcode and you do not remember the passscode?
Please provide more clear information. I do not really understand your poblem. I can't tell whee the music is, or what will not "upload".
