My iTunes doesn't make me clear some song!

Hi Guys! I'm a new User here and I've already a problem to expose, I've installed iTunes 10.5 beta 2 ( cause I'm a beta tester of ios), this iTunes does not make me clear the last song that I've added on my library. Anybody are using the newest beta? Is it a Bug or a isolated problem?

Itunes will not add to library some song I bought.  The PC is a new computer.  How do I fix this?

Diesel vdub asked a question which you have answered yourself, although you don't appear to realise it.
He/she (sorry diesel, I don't know) asked: "Is the song actually on the computer?" and you stated that: "I transfered all songs onto the new computer" and "I looked in the folder but the songs just cant be found" so the copy hasn't worked.
You also mention manually copying, as opposed to a previous (presumably different) method.
How are you trying to copy these songs? Do the copy first and make sure that works. If your first method doesn't work, try a diifferent one - such as the manual copy you referred to (copying onto a memory stick, card, disc etc. etc.)
Until you sort out why your method of copying hasn't worked, everything else you "try" is a waste of time.

  • HT203167 I recently downloaded my previous purchased items from iTunes but I have found that some songs dont play or have only downloaded half of the actual song :/

I recently downloaded my previous purchased items from iTunes but I have found that some songs dont play or have only downloaded half of the actual song :/ when i go to iTunes>Purchased it says that the songs have already been downloaded, which means i cant re-download them. is there a way I can re-download my previous purchased songs?

Once you successfully add you iTunes library to iTunes Match, you go to Settings>iTunes & App Store on your iOS device and turn on iTunes Match.  Your iTunes Match library will then appear on your iOS device.

  • Garageband 3 podcast description doesn't make it to the song in itunes

I have the new iLife '06 with all appropriate updates and am just beginning to use garageband and iweb to make a podcast both for the web and the itunes podcast directory.
I definitely enter all the description information into the appropriate fields in garageband and then export to iWeb. Then I export the wesbite, upload to server and test by subscribing through itunes. But when I download the song, the description field is completely blank on the podcast in itunes!! I cannot figure this out. I have gone back and redone it from scratch a bunch of times. The only thing I can think of is that I am on 10.4.3 and i see that it is supported for iLife but that 10.4.4 and later is recommended. I hope that's not the problem. I'll upgrade later today and see, but has anyone else experienced this problem?
A couple of other related problems are that iWeb is truncating the name of my podcast FILE. Meaning that if someone views my podcast on the web and not through itunes and decides to download after the quicktime audio file has loaded, the file name is not exactly what I named the podcast. I don't know if there's any way around that one, but if anyone knows, I would be very thankful.
One last thing. When exporting (publishing) a podcast from iWeb to a non-dotmac server, is it absolutely necessary to enter a http://www.url.com in order for the RSS file to work properly? I want to make our rss file address something like http://www.oururl.com/rss.xml but iWeb seems to make it so that it has to be something more like http://www.oururl.com/Podcast/Podcast/rss.xml because of the nested folders associated with the website pages. Make any sense? If anyone can answer ANY of the above questions I would be grateful. Thank you.

If your iPod is set to update automatically then try this:
    1. Connect your iPod
    2. Disable "Show Album art" in iTunes>Edit>Preferences>iPod.
    3. Syncronise the iPod with iTunes. (Disconnecting and then reconnecting your iPod will do the trick)
    4. Re-enable "Show Album Art" in iTunes>Edit>Preferences>iPod.
    5. Syncronise the iPod again.

  • Itunes won't let me download some songs without 7.6.2

When i attempt to download some songs, i get a message "You must download version 7.6.2." I download it, restart the computer and it still does it! I don't know what else to do. Other songs i download with no problem. I'm running windows xp.

Go to Help->About iTunes and determine what version of iTunes you are actually running.
If it isn't 7.6.2, you are not installing it correctly.
If it is 7.6.2, I would recommend contacting iTunes support.

  • Why is iTunes play count not updating for SOME songs played on iPod Touch?

I have noticed that when I play some songs on my iPod the play count won't update. This only happens with some I bought recently. I was actually testing witha song I purchased 3 weeks ago and the play count will only update if I play it on the computer. However, when I played the song on my iPod Touch 4g running iOS 5, nothing happened. How can I fix this as I use the recently played playlist quite often. also, Im pretty sure most of the songs were downloaded from iTunes app in my iPod.

I've had this problem before with my 1G and still have it with my 2G. I can replicate it EVERY TIME.
If I listen to nothing but music on my iPod touch, and then go back home and sync, I have no problems with the playcount and smart playlists.
However, if I listen to a bunch of music, then play a few games, or browse Safari for a while, any record of my recently listened to music is wiped out. The Music application even loses my place in what song I was listening to and even which artist/album I was last listening to -- kicking me back to main music screen when I click the Music icon on the Home screen.
My hypothesis -- Apple is not using a dedicated/untouchable portion of memory to store playcounts. It is shared with all other memory access. So if an application or Safari uses a lot of memory during your session AFTER you've played your music, your playcounts gets wiped out in the process.
But that's just my take on the situation.

  • Make it so Itunes doesn't automatically download ALL the songs onto my ipod

I would like to know what to do so that when I plug-in my Ipod it doesn't say that erase and sink because i'm on a diffrent computer than my main computer. So what I want to know is how to select specific songs to put on my ipod and not update the WHOLE ipod I just want certain songs to add to my list. I have itunes 7.02 and i know that itunes 6 can do that but what do I do since I have 7.02?????

  • Upgraded iTunes to 6.0.1 & now some songs can't be "found"

I completed a recent upgrade to iTunes & several songs now have an exclaimation point next to them. When I click on them, I get an error message that says, "Song can't be used because the original file could not be found."
All of the songs were imported from CDs but not all of the songs from that import were affected (they play normally.)
I can reimport many of them, but some of them were from the library, friends, etc.
    Any thoughts?

    Roberta hello,
    The remedy is very easy...
Open the iTunes folder and select the iTunes Library file and type command -D
this will make another copy for safe keeping, if anything goes wrong you can always return this copy ... leave the duplicate file where it is.
Start iTunes in the normal way and open the preferences > advanced > general tab... set NOT to copy files when adding to library and DO keep iTunes Music folder organized.... OK your changes.
From the file menu select 'add to library' and choose the iTunes Music folder.
After iTunes has checked and made any adjustments needed have a look and see if any problems still exist ... come and let me know Roberta ... TP

  • ITunes doesn't play all of certain songs - why?

I've got an iMac and a MacBook Pro - iTunes seems to be working perfectly on the iMac, but for some reason iTunes Genius isn't working - no matter how many times I update - for certain songs, but the real problem I am having is while trying to listen to my music. I'll select a song and after it has played for a minute or so, iTunes switches to another song - that song might play all the way or it might switch again after the first minute. I've deauthorized and then authorized my MacBook Pro, I've updated the Genius, I've turned on Home Sharing, I've checked to make sure there are no available downloads waitings, and I've updated iTunes. Can anyone offer any advice? I'd really appreicate it.

    Hi,
If we are talking about previously purchased songs, delete faulty track and go store and under quick links select purchased then not on this computer - this will show tracks available for downloading.
Alternatively as you have a complete library on your iMac, you can deleted offending tracks and get replace by using home sharing link.

  • Itunes doesn't save any of my songs after I exit it!

My ipod is fine, all my playlist and songs are still there but on my laptop, everything is gone. When I added all my songs again and sync my ipod to it, all the songs show up but the info on my ipod doesn't show up. And as soon as I finish adding my songs again, i would exit it, and open itunes again. But nothing shows up just like the first time. It just recently happened and i don't know what's wrong. >_<
I also can't find my iTunes Music Library.xml anywhere so that means i can't recreate my itunes library!

Go to the iPhone discussion and search for calendar synching. I've been there and solved my iCal problems. Look for info on deleting a "cache" folder as well, I know I removed one but can't remember which one.
I think you can only sync personal calendars.
Also try creating another user on your mac, log-out as yourself and log-in as the new and then try opening iTunes to see if it recognizes your calendars.

  • When syncing iTunes with Apple TV (1st gen) some songs and movies will not sync..

I get the message that these songs and movies are not authorized to play on this computer. The computer is authorized and the songs and movies will play on the computer but will not sync to Apple TV
    Any advice is aproeciated.

    Thanks for the reply WC
    Yes they do.
They origialnally played just fine. I moved my entire iTunes library to a new computer and now only 62 songs, out of over 2000, and two of four movies won't sync. All songs and movies are in same folders and same format.
I already selected "keep iTunes media folder organized" and "copy files to iTunes media folder when adding to library"
using iTunes 10.7 and OSX 10.8.2

  • ITunes repeatedly looses file locations of some songs

I recently had to move my music files to a new external hard drive. After getting everything moved over and changing the settings, I can now listen to import most music just fine. However, each time I try to sink my iPod, the program manages to loose about 200 songs (out of many, many more than that). Even if I individually reset the file location, the next time I synch, files are missing again. Most of the time, the files are similar, but sometimes it seems like new, random files are the ones that are lost. The files remain in their original location on the external HD, it's just that iTunes seems to have forgotten what that location was. Luckily, it seems I can still listen to my music on my iPod, and nothing is ever deleted from my HD, but it is rather annoying seeing 100 new exclamation points all the time. Any suggestions?

I have a similar issue. I moved my music folder to a new internal drive on my PC. Now, though I can see my playlists and all 8,000 songs listed in iTunes, every song has the exclamation mark. I can can go one by one and redirect iTunes to find it on the new drive, but have been unable to get the settings to work in Preferences and Advanced tab for "consolidate library". I DON't want to just create anew library if that means losing all the ratings/etc I have spent time on with the original database.
Do you think the instructions you give here will work for me too?
    Thanks!

  • ITunes always adds a number to some song's filename

I have a continuing problem where iTunes always adds a number to the front of song filenames. I can delete the number from the filename but it is again added sometime later. Is there a way to disable this misfeature? I have looked all through the prefpanel but found no such choice.

Funny, I had the same thing today.
The titles will be changed back if you change any info in the iTunes database, add albumart and they're back to their original name...
Could this be stopped by changing permissions on the music folder?

  • Sound keeps muted, iTunes doesn't play songs

Sinds a week or two sometimes when I boot my mac my sound doesn't work. My sound keeps muted and I can't turn the volume up because it's unclickable grey.
Someone told me to do the "cmd + ctrl + n + v"-trick and that sometimes helps me but the problem keeps coming back. Also iTunes doesn't want to play my songs, it keeps stuck on 0:00.
In my sound-systempreferences everything seems okay.
    My specs are:
    -  iMac mid 2012 running OSX lion 10.7.4
    -  Processor  3,4 GHz Intel Core i7
    -  Memory 12 GB 1333 MHz DDR3
    -  Video AMD Radeon HD 6970M 2048 MB

the same thing is happening to me as well since I upgraded to the latest version of iTunes. My sound beeps now in everything, from email notifications, to music. But iTunes won't play any songs that I select. Hope to get some feedback.

  • Unable to upgrade some songs to iTunes plus

    Hello -
I've seen some other discussions on this topic so I guess it's not an uncommon problem, but I wanted to ask about it anyway in case there are new insights about how to fix it!
I have about 75 old "Protected AAC" songs - 128 bps DRM-protected songs that I purchased before the iTunes Plus era - and I would like to upgrade at least some of them to iTunes Plus (not necessarily all - in some cases I've subsequently bought the CD, or am no longer interested in the song).   When I sign in to the iTunes Store and go to the 'Upgrade to iTunes Plus' section, however, only 40 of the songs are listed (35 are not).   I've verified that in almost all cases, these songs/albums are still available in iTunes - I think perhaps one or two are no longer available, so I can understand why upgrades are not allowed there, but in the vast majority of cases I don't understand why I can't upgrade.
What's really strange is that there are some albums where some songs are available for upgrade and not others.  To give a specific example, I purchased 7 songs (all "protected AAC") from the album Travelogue by The Human League (only the 7 bonus tracks, since I have the original album).   Now, 4 of these are available for upgrade to iTunes Plus and 3 are not, even though the whole album (including all 7 songs) are still sold through iTunes.
I tried contacting iTunes support and had an e-mail exchange which was slightly helpful but not entirely;  they would never really answer the question and eventually just started repeating the same set of stock paragraphs, leading me to believe that the responses were selected from a menu and were not actually coming from a person trying to solve the problem (maybe I'm wrong about that, I don't know).   Here are the sorts of answers I got:
"The record company remove and then replace some of the songs for their produced albums on the iTunes Store at any time. Since the songs are modified you are not able to see them in the iTunes upgrade page.:
    or
"The record company remove and then replace some of the songs for their produced albums on the iTunes Store at any time. Since the mentioned songs have been removed and then fresh copy has been posted you are not able to see them in the iTunes upgrade page."
However, even if the songs have been removed or replaced, I really don't understand why some songs on a given album can be upgraded and others can't!
iTunes Support did kindly credit my account for 5 songs, but in practice I'd like to upgrade about 20.
Has anyone had success working around this problem, or do you know a route to getting iTunes Support to do more?   Or should I just give up and re-purchase the songs I can't upgrade?
    Thanks!

Thanks very much....makes sense, but some songs I have used in the past no longer work, so something has changed I guess.
