My iTunes don´t works

Hi, i`have a problem with my iTunes, from one month it isn´t works, when I try to eject it, appaers one sing that say: "iTunes can´t works cause you haven´t enought memory", but i have one iMac G4 with 768 RAM memory, and i have 30 Gb´s free in my memory disk. Also i have all my iTunes flders in my external hard drive. So i don´t understant why my iTunes don´t works. I tried to reisntall, download the last version and to repair permissions. Can tou help me?

Maybe the 'Using iTunes for Mac' forum was a better place to ask your question.
I have no direct solution for your problem, but using 'Search Discussions', I found a few threads about the same problem:

Some people reported their problems were solved by re-installing.
Try this:
If you have iTunes related Widgeds, turn them off.
Delete the preference file 'com.apple.iTunes.plist' from ~/Users/yourusername/Library/Preferences
Move the 'iTunes Library' file (in ~/Users/yourusername/Music/iTunes) to the desktop and try to re-install iTunes.
If you can run iTunes, put the 'iTunes Library' back to where it came from (replace the newer one) and change your 'iTunes Music folder location' to the location on your external disk.
Hope this helps.

  • Only Songs from Itunes don't work!

So I've called support about this and it was fixed and was suppose to never happen again... and it did...
My Ipod randomly decided to just stop playing anything i've bought from iTunes before and my videos. Plays everything else. It did it before. Support told me to just install the iPod Utility Upgrade so I did.. and it fixed it... for a while. A month later it did it again. So I installed yet another Upgrade and it fixed it. For a few days. Then it did it again, ect. Now its doing it quite frequently, almost every day, and I don't know why. I'm using only 1 computer and a peripheral i bought from best buy to go into my car. Also right before it stop playing all the itunes songs it makes a buzzing sound a couple times. All my other music works, just the iTunes does not. Any suggestions?

I have a slight variation on this problem. Some of my videos loaded into my iPod, but for other ones, an error comes up telling me to convert them. However, when I try to convert them, another error comes up. These videos show up in iTunes, but will not play. Does anyone have any suggestions?

  • How come most of my songs i purchased on itunes don't work? It says there is no file found for it when I bought the songs. I need help!

I bought many songs from Itunes and when I went to plug in and download my songs onto my laptop it only downloaded 20 songs that I purchased and the rest were counted as "There was no file to support this song" And I don't know how that even happened and now on my ipad none of the cover art for the purchased songs show up and none of the songs I bought on itunes are shown and play when I go to the purchase part of the music itunes store and its really ******* me off making me feel like I just wasted money on buying songs I can never listen too! I need to know how I can fix it ASAP.

You can redownload the songs as many times as you want, the "one time regrant" no longer exists. Make sure you are using the same apple id on both your dead itouch and your iphone 4. On your iphone 4 go to the itunes app > Purchased (may be under more based on your settings) at the top click not on this iphone, click all songs then click the little cloud next to each song you want to redownload. It will prompt you for your id and password and the begin your download

  • Old user ID and password at iTunes don't work

I just attempted to transfer my iTunes library from my windows PC to my new Apple computer.  When I transferred the libraries, all the songs were tagged with a user id for authorization with a very old account I no longer use.  I don't use it because I changed my internet service provider so I no longer have access to that id. It was so long ago I don't remember the password either so I tried entering my date of birth so it would identify me and give me the password but it didn't recognize my date of birth either!  I've tried every permutation possible of passwords that I use but i won't accept any of them.  I hate the idea of having to repurchase $300 to $400 worth of music from iTunes because I forgot a password and changed internet providers.  Is there any way to get iTunes to give me my password information for that old account so I can authorize my new computer to play all the songs I've purchased in the past?  Thanks for your help.

  • IPod and iTunes don't work, HELP!!!

I bought a few albums a week or so ago and didn't bother to burn a copy. Next, I got a few new CDs for Christmas, so I decided to upload them to iTunes. I had started when I had to log off of my account for a while. So, I logged off for about an hour, and I tried to get back on iTunes to finish uploading the CDs, but it wouldn't open, and I couldn't digure out how to get it to open. Then I went on vacation for about a week, and on about the third or fourth day my iPod (Classic, 30 GB, made in 2006) started spazzing out. It would play but the screen stayed the same, or it would "pause" without actually pausing. So I did the thing the support tells you to do , toggle the hold button, then press the middle and menu button simultaneously. I did that twice, cause the first time it didn't work. The second time I did this, it seemed to work, but then the screen just went black. I hit the menu button to see if that would help, but instead of making my iPod good as new, the screen went white and said "Connect to your computer. Use iTunes to restore." So, I obviously couldn't, because my computer was at home, and I wasn't. I waited till I got home (yesterday night) and restored my computer to a time I knew iTunes was working, and went to sleep cause it was taking a long time.
This morning, I got up and tried to open iTunes, but a window popped up that said Quicktime was not installed and iTunes needs Quicktime to run. so, I reinstalled Quicktime and when I tried to open iTunes, another window popped up that said that the Quicktime I had was 5.5(I think) and it needed 5.7 or later. So I uninstalled Quicktime and reinstalled it with Apple. I tried again to open iTunes, but yet another window popped up that said something like "Your library cannot be opened because it was installed on a more recent version of iTunes. So here I am now, after being on the computer all day, after repeatedly uninstalling and reinstalling Quicktime and updating iTunes several times, completely confused. Is there any way to get my library back and restore my iPod? Any and all hints are desperately wanted. Please help!

  • MP3 created with iTunes don't work properly

Hi, I have a strange problem. If I import a CD using my MAC and iTunes, creating MP3 files, then copy to my USB stick to play in my car, it only plays the 1st song, then skips through all others and plays the 1st song of the next album. If I do the same import of a CD on my Vista PC using iTunes (same version) and create MP3 files, copy to the same USB stick and play in my car, all is ok.
Can anyone help to explain this? It's very annoying considering I have 1000s of MP3 created on my MAC.
    regards
    G.

  • Full Screen Videos in iTunes Don't Work in Leopard

    Hi,
I've upgraded my MacBook Pro from Tiger to Leopard and I do have a registered Quicktime Pro 7 license. The QuickTime tab shows me that it's a Pro version. However, if I am trying to play full screen videos in iTunes I just see the mini video in the screen center. Any idea how I can fix this?

I have recently relocated to Australia & have since updated my itunes account with an Australain address.
The issue is your credit or debit card. They must be associated with the same country in which you reside.
"Although you can browse the iTunes Store in any country without being signed in, you can only purchase content from the iTunes Store for your own country. This is enforced via the billing address associated with your credit card or other payment method that you use with the iTunes Store. You can use the iTunes Store in all countries of which you’re a resident, but you’ll either need a separate iTunes Store account for each one, or you’ll need to continually be switching your billing information on your single account. Generally, it’s simpler just to set up an alternative account for these situations."

  • Parental controls in iTunes don't work for TV Shows?

Using parental controls - i can hide/block Movies & explict music content - but doesn't appear to work for TV Shows marked "Caution" - any ideas?
    Help would be appreciated.
    thanks

I raised this in another thread ages ago - indeed it seems you can only include TV Shows marked caution, rather than exclude them.

  • Why safari 5 and itunes 10 don`t work with windows xp?

Define "don't work".  Frankly that's about the most vague and useless statement without some clarification.

  • I subscribed for itunes imatch - it works perfectly on my i-pad and iPhone - however on my macbook - my iTunes can no longer find my songs - i don't know how to make it look to the cloud to play my music

i subscribed for itunes imatch - it works perfectly on my i-pad and iPhone - however on my macbook - my iTunes can no longer find my songs - i don't know how to make it look to the cloud to play my music - i think it keeps trying to find on the external harddrive where i used to keep my music

Of course iTunes is looking for the music on the external HDD. Enabling iTunes Match does not magically change the location of the iTunes library to the cloud.
To play the music either plug the external HDD back into your computer or create a new, empty library to use for streaming the iTM content. The latter can be accomplished by holding down the Option key when launching iTunes, choosing "create library" then enabling iTunes Match on the new library. DO NOT have iTunes scan your HDD for music.
