My itunes freezes when i sync music to my iphone 3G

Hello, I Have been having a trouble with my itunes and my iphone, Last time i had the iphone it was working perfectly, not one problem occured. Then i bought a blackberry, i got rid of it a month later and got another iphone 3G. I Reinstalled itunes and tryed to add my music then the problem started. It will get past Syncing apps but as soon as it gets to music it will freeze and i would have to close itunes and it will keep happening. I have tried many ways of trying to fix it. Like: downgrading itunes, Reinstalling itunes, Restarting Computer, Itunes in safemode, run as administator.
Please, i need help
PS: I Have a blackberry sim for the iPhone.

My artists are showing up as Various artists when I sync music with my iPhone 4S, even though in iTunes the song tags have been changed.
Am I missing something?
For example, I have 3 songs that are part of a compilation CD. I've change them to no longer being part of a compilation, and changes all of the tags of Arist and Album artist to the artists name, however they still show up as 'Various Artists' on my iPhone.
Any ideas?

You may find you need to remove the songs and then add them back again.

Music disappeared and ITunes freezes when re-syncing: Help!

Yesterday all my music, photos, and video vanished from my 60 gb iPod. Naturally I tried to re-sync, but ITunes freezes every time I plug it in and immediately unfreezes when I unplug. The error message says "The iPod cannot be synced. The required folder could not be found." I went into preferences and checked "prevent devices from syncing automatically," but the iPod still tries to sync when I plug it in and it is impossible for me to adjust any settings within ITunes.
I tried the check disk utility and my computer locks up. I also tried the manual reset, which seems to work, but I can't get the Disk Mode to work properly. When I looked in my iPod utilities, it said that iPod was almost full, yet I can't find any music or playlists despite being able to navigate the menus.
Since the iPod itself seems to be working, I'd hate to have to junk this because some settings can't be adjusted. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

Try putting the iPod into [Disk Mode|http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1363] to stop it from continuously rebooting. Then again attempt to restore the iPod through iTunes. Otherwise it may be the signs of a failing hard drive.
I would maybe check up on taking advantage of the warranty you have on it.

Why is itunes freezing when i sync to my touch

Everytime I use Itunes it freezes and im am using the newest version with windows XP. Then if i try to sync my Ipod touch it freezes what is up with this and why is everyone having the same issue. Is it because of the iCloud that i am having these problems. I origianly signed up for iCloud but then realized that it did not sync all my music on to my ipod because i didn't buy more memory. WHAT IS GOING ON CAN ANYONE HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I WANT TO LISTEN TO MY MUSIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My iTunes keeps crashing when I try to sync my iPhone as well as when I try downloading the newest iPhone upgrade 2.2.1. I just tried to restore my iPhone and once again iTunes crashed (at around 224MB into the download of the upgrade).
I've restarted my iPhone.
Restarted my iMac.
Re-installing iTunes.
Tried installing iTunes 8.0.1 (instead of 8.0.2).
Created a new user to check if that was the problem.
All with no success.
Any help would be much appreciated.

ITunes freezing when I sync 60GB Ipod, podcasts not completely downloading

I've got a pentium 4 3.0 with 1GB of RAM running winXP pro. I just re-installed winxp after formatting the HD so everything should be clean. All it has on it is WinXP, Office 2007, Photoshop, and Itunes. When I connect my ipod, a 60GB video, itunes will freeze the entire computer up for a few minutes while it syncs. Also, many podcasts, most notobly "This american life" will only download about halfway (an hour long podcast will be 15 minutes or so long). This happens pretty consistently. Any ideas? I DOWNLOADED MUSIC FROM A CARD AND IT PLAYED FOR TWO TO THREE WEEKS AND IT QUIT PLAYING THE TUNES ARE STILL ON THERE BUT THEY WON'T PLAY AND MY IPOD FREEZES UP?

ITunes freezes when iPod syncs

Recently my iTunes freezes everytime my ipod syncs. I don't know the causes for it and when I try to add songs or videos it will freeze up everytime. Does anybody have a clue about this? My iPod is 4th generation iPod and I'm using a mac.

least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Try just backing up the iPod by right clicking on the iPod under Devices in iTunes and select Back Up. If successful then you can restore the iPod.

- However, you say you have Windows 9, that maybe causing the problem.

Itunes will not manually sync music with my Iphone 5

I am trying to manually sync music from ITunes and my Iphone5. From the Info screen I have selected the option to manually sync music and video files. From the music screen I have selected the option to sync selected artists, etc. I selected some of my music and was conscious to leave room for all the other items on my phone (per the storage bar at the bottom of the screen). When I select 'Sync' at the bottom of the screen, ITunes goes through all of the steps to sync and seems to complete. However nothing is copied over to my phone and I do not see any of the titles being transferred in the status bar. Additionally, I am receiving an error message that states I do not have enough disk space to complete the transfer and that an additional 4GB is required. However, I have a very small amount of music scheduled to transfer and the status bar that tracks available space still has over 7GB available with my selections made. I appear to have ample disk space yet the phone will not update any music at all. Please help if you can. Thank you.

I have the exact same problem. My Iphone is always synced by connecting to my computer because I don't want anything on the cloud. All of the sudden the yellow "other" part of the bar showing what's on my phone will fill up the right half of the bar even though I haven't added anything. I have emptied the phone of all it's content one category at a time to try to identify what the "OTHER" is. I remove all the apps, them Music and so on. It doesn't work and the yellow bar stays showing it is taking up half the space on my phone. So then I put the settings back the way they were, which should leave about a quarter of my storage space free. Then I do a reset of my phone and after two hours ( that's how long it takes) The "other" yellow bar goes back down to taking up about 1/20 of space on my IPhone even though I haven't made any changes. The only reason I sync at all is to add music to my phone that I've added to my main library on ITunes. This is so frustrating and a huge wast of my time! Can someone tell me haw to stop this please?

ITunes crashes when I sync music with iphone.

I use OS X Lion, iTunes 10.4 and iphones iOS 4.3.3. I've upgraded both iTunes and Iphone but nothing helps. I can sync everything but music. What's worse; when my iphone is connected it says that my music IS synced, but my Iphone says that there is no music on it. What to do?

Itunes Freezing when reading a music file from my external harddrive

I am using I tunes version 8.2.1 and Mac OS X 10.4.11
I am using an external hard drive to house my ITunes Library. I have used this set up before with out issue. I then had a hard drive failure. I recovered my music and was able to reformat. Now when I try to play a song or do anything in ITunes while the hard drive is attached, Itunes is really slow and most of the time does not play the song. I tried uninstalling Itunes but that did nothing and I CAN NOT UPGRADE TO ITUNES 10.
Is this an issue with ITunes or is it the harddrive?

a wma file is a Microsoft file. it will only play in Windows media player and afew other players that have basicly paid Microsoft a fee to have there players able to play wma files. iTunes will not play wma files at all BUT itunes makes it easy as pie to convert those files into something it can play long as there not protected wma's you may have bought online. First goto edit, preferencs. Once there in the settings, hit the "Advance" tab at top, you will see 3 more tabs appear below. hit the "Import" tab there you will most likly want to set it to "MP3" so you will be able to play all songs u import or rip from CDs on iTunes and other apps. Below that you can set the bit rate. after that just rightclick all the songs with the ! beside them and select Import or convert section to MP3

ITunes will not manually sync music onto my iPhone 5. When I drag my music onto the iPhone, the icon "bounces" and then the sidebar closes, not syncing the music.

I can't call tec support because my warranty is expired. I did download some youtube to mp3 files onto itunes but it worked after I did that so I don't know why that would be the problem. Your iPod can only be synced with one iTunes library at a time. If you try to sync it with another library, it will erase the current contents of the iPod and replace them with the contents from the new library.
If you have content you need to copy from your iPod back to your iTunes library, see this older post from another forum member Zevoneer discussing the different ways to do this.

How far did you get with activation? Are you syncing your contact with an app on your computer (i.e Outlook)?

ITunes freezes when syncing podcasts to iPod shuffle

I have the square shuffle and every time I go onto iTunes and try syncing a new podcast to it the whole thing freezes. It does not freeze when I sync music, just when I click on the podcast tab at the top. Pretty weird but I can't seem to fix the problem. Please help, Im tired of listening to music while running!!!!!
