My itunes gift card isnt giving me the full amount
I bought a 25 dollar itunes card and when I redeemed it, it gave me 13 dollars. I had no outstanding balance. What's going on?

By 'didn't work' you mean ... ? Do you get any error messages ?
Was the iTunes card issued in the same country as your account is based (they are only valid in their country of issue) ? If it was then, depending upon what happens when you try to redeem it, see if this page helps. I activated an iTunes gift card, my iPod showed the amount available ($15) then after downloading 2 songs my balance was $.04. Any ideas on what happened to the rest of my funds or how I can find out where the rest of my money went?

i'm trying to redeem my itunes gift card and i get the message "session timed out." does anyone know why i'm not able to redeem my card and why i get this message in stead?
I've been having the same issues too, and thought it was just my outdated computer or account?!
Every time I try to purchase a song, "session has timed out" shows up after I click "agree" to the terms!? I seem to be in the exact same scenario as 'SportsBarn' above: Itunes support have replied repeatedly with the same "solutions" but nothing has helped or even been applicable. I have an older laptop, 2005 Powerbook running OS X 10.4 Tiger so it's not compatible with the latest iTunes 10.5.2 which requires minimum OS X 10.5. I've been using the balance already in my iTunes account (from redeemed giftcards over the past few years) with no problem, until recently (my last successful purchase was October 2011). I wonder if it's the older OS or just a redemption glitch even with newer computers? -

You can add a card, or you can ask iTS to zero-out that balance. but you'll lose it.

How do I rent a move using moneyin my iTunes account. I had to enter the iTunes gift ard code to open the account several months ago, but never purchased anything with it. When I entered this code to rent a movie, the response was that it was redeemed. What am I doing wrong?
If you've already redeemed the card onto your account then its amount should be on your account - a card can only be redeemed once.
To rent a film, find the film in the store and (if the film studio has made it available as a rental in your country) click on its Rent button. If you are beig prompted to review your account and enter credit card details then see if this post from mountaingoatgirl lets you do so without entering card details : https://discussions.apple.com/message/24303054 . If that doesn't work then you should be able to remove your card's details after entering them.
As long as you account's balance covers the rental cost then only that should be charged. How purchases are billed : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5582
When making purchases, content credits are used first, followed by Gift Certificate, iTunes Card, or Allowance Account credits; your credit card or PayPal account is then charged for any remaining balance. -

When I tried to redeem my itunes gift card the connection to itunes was lost. Then once i got back connected I again tried to redeem my card and it stated that my gift card had already been used/redeemed, however itunes *_did not_* add the money to my account. What do I do? Please help, I want my itunes credit.
