My itunes has stopped opening
Hello all, this has been annoying me for the last few weeks, and so I thought I would see if anyone could help. I have a Windows 7 ACER laptop, and a week or so ago, itunes just stopped opening. I tried repairing, uninstalling and reinstalling both it and quick time, neither seemed to work. Every time i click to open it, it appears in Task Manager as itunes.exe *32 and then disappears after about 15 seconds. It is really annoying as i can't update my ipod or ipad with songs or apps. If anyone can help, i'd really appreciate it.

I use windows vista and I have upgraded my itunes. Now when I open it, it gives me a message saying "itunes has stopped working" and then gives me a message saying it will notify me for a solution. What can I do to fix this so it can open and not give me any more problems???
First you can try;
Try restarting PC and run itunes again!
If error again than perform clean instal of itunes (uninstal first and than instal again)! -
I can't open my Itunes program in my laptop computer with windows 8. the message is "Itunes has stopped working. A problem causess the program to stop working properly. windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available". I reboot the machine, Uninstall and re install the Itune program, stilll the same message pops up.
The first thing to try is System Restore to take you back to a point in time when it did work. If that is not successful, create a new user on the computer. log in with that and see if ID will start. This will tell us if the problem is in the system/program or the user account.
If it works in a new user account, see Replace Your Preferences and in addition to replacing the prefs, empty the InDesign Recovery folder that will be in the same location and the InDesign SavedData file. -
I have recently bought a new laptop with windows 7 and when i have tried to install and open itunes i keep getting the message 'itunes has stopped working' itunes then shuts down before i can do anything to fix it. Itunes has stopped working when trying to open store
I have gone through the uninstall/reinstall many times. Redid host file. Flush dns. Have tried many things. I noticed on one conversation on here. To go to the Action Center and click on itunes. It is saying a fault in the webkit.dll. I have no clue what that means or what I need to do to fix the problem.
I did notice that when I uninstalled the last time that when I reinstalled I no longer had Quicktime. So installed that, but still no luck
I have Norton 360 and Windows 7 64 on my laptop. We also have a desktop with the same, but the desktop is able to open the store. I am a tad confused on why mine is not. I can open itunes see the library then when I hit the itunes store it sits for awhile then it comes up with itunes has stopped working. Please if someone could help.It shows in my downloads, starts downloading, and when it gets to the end of a song, I get the message "iTunes has stopped working" and choices to close or debug, etc.
Head into your Problem Reports and Solutions control panel (or the Windows 7 equivalent) and open your Problem History. Look for iTunes Problems reports that seemed to occur at the time that you had the Store troubles.
Open the reports and have a look through them. Do they all seem to say the same thing? If so, paste the contents of a typical report into a reply here. (Fingers crossed, that may give us a heads up on the cause of the errors.) -
After I open ITunes if I try to connect to the ITunes store or the App Store i get an error message.

Also try reinstalling iTunes. Also open up the error console (wherever that might be; I'm a Mac person) and post the error that is causing it to quit. Hope it works!

Error when opening iTunes : iTunes has stopped working '' A problem caused the program to stop working correctly''.
When I repaired damaged files the problem still exists and also after uninstalling, redownloading and reinstalling iTunes.
My pc is working with windos 8.

It sounds like you are getting an error from iTunes when you launch it. I would try the troubleshooting in this article named:

Start with troubleshooting for 3rd party plug ins section, then the rest of the article if needed:
Start iTunes in Safe Mode
Open iTunes in Safe Mode to isolate any interference from plug-ins or scripts not manufactured by Apple.
Hold down Shift–Control while opening iTunes. You should see a dialog that says "iTunes is running in safe mode" before iTunes finishes starting up.
Click Continue.
See if the issue you're experiencing persists in Safe Mode.
If you have the same issue while iTunes is in Safe Mode, proceed to the "Create a new user account" section. If you don't experience the same issue, follow these steps to remove third-party plug-ins.

Fingers crossed, your Vista problem history may give us more information on what is going on.
Go into your Problem Reports and Solutions Control Panel, click on the Problem History, and look for iTunes problem reports that occur at the same time as those error messages. Open the problem reports. Do they all say the same thing? If so, paste the contents of a typical problem report into a reply here. -
ITunes has stopped working message after having it open for one minute.
It's fully updated to iOS 5 and was working fine until now. Running on Windows 7 and worked flawlessly till this point. Any tips? I already uninstalled and reinstalled. Only security software I run is Microdoft Security Essesntials and that has never been an issue. At a loss here.
