My iTunes hasnt been working for over 6 months and nobodys been able 2 help
I am so desperate and frustrated!!!! please help. the icon is there but when i click, i get this message:
iTunes has encountered a problem and needs to close.

Yes, I've repeatedly deleted and reinstalled iTunes. This is an extreme case because nothing seems to work!!

i can't recall what you've already tried, so let's start from scratch with troubleshooting this one.
the first thing that i check for when people report getting that message when they try to launch their itunes is a broken QuickTime.
try to open your QuickTime. does it launch properly, or do you get an error message?
if you get an error message, the first thing we'll try is a careful standalone QT 7.1 reinstall.
download and save a copy of the QT 7.1 standalone installer to your hard drive. (we'll run the install from there rather than online.) switch off antivirus and antispyware applications prior to the install.
Quicktime 7.1 Standalone Installer
if that install goes through okay, does your itunes launch properly again?
(if you get an error message on the QT standalone reinstall, let us know what it says. include error message numbers if you're getting any.)

Our Apple TV worked great for 11 months and all the sudden it doesn't get itunes, netflicks or anything. Won't even let us log into it. The iPhone HAS to be active making calls on the UK carrier network for the carrier to identify as "theirs" and therefore eligible for the Carrier to unlock
The way to achieve this is to use a PAYG sim making and receiving calls to establish a customer relationship with the Carrier and then follow the Carrier's process to unlock
With a PAYG it usually means adding a specified (by the carrier ) amount usually £15 /£20 depending on the carrier

Hello cor-el, thanks for your reply. I changed my settings for downloads to desktop and it has appeared on there. When I double click I am asked which program I want to open file. I click firefox and another box "opening install" says I have chosen to open the file which is an application and do I want to save it. This is the only real option so I press save file. I get a box saying this is an executable file which may contain viruses - do you want to run. I press ok and the final box showing C drive file name and desktop appears stating application not found.
This happens the same whenever I try to install.
To my untrained eye the application is not being recognised as an application and I cannot work out how to get it to do that.
My plugin is still showing as out of date.
Is there anything you could suggest. Thanks for your time. -
My iPod touch shows up as a apple iPod camera but if i dont want to download the pics and press cancel it all dissappears. my ipod has been lost for 3 months and has not got the latest upgrade.

I downloaded 12 songs and am now "waiting" for them. How long does it take. I have been waiting for over 15min. and only got 2songs.

My phone has been dead for a month and it won't turn on?
My phone has been dead a little over a month now. I've been charging it all morning and it still won't turn on. I tried holding down the home and lock button at the same time and it still won't turn on. The dead battery sign won't pop up either. Is my battery dead should I get a new phone?
You could send it to get the battery changed by Apple, and if the issue is not from the battery, they'll be able to help you further.

Press and hold the reset button for 30 seconds...Release the reset button...Unplug the power cable from your router, wait for 30 seconds and re-connect the power cable...

Once you have Internet connection on your desktop do this :
Open an Internet Explorer browser page.In the address bar type - 192.168.1.1
Leave username blank & in password use admin in lower case...
For Wireless Settings, please do the following : -
Click on the Wireless tab-
-Here select manual configuration...Wireless Network mode should be mixed...
-Provide a unique name in the Wireless Network Name (SSID) box in order to differentiate your network from your neighbours network...
- Set the Radio Band to Standard-20MHz and change the standard channel to 11-2.462GHz...
- And wireless SSID broadcast should be Enabled and then click on save settings...
Please make a note of Wireless Network Name (SSID) as this is the Network Identifier...
For Wireless Security : -
Click on the Sub tab under Wireless > Wireless Security...
Change the Wireless security mode to WEP, Encryption should be 64 bits.Leave the passphrase blank, don't type in anything...
Under WEP Key 1 type in any 10 numbers please(numbers only and no letters) and click on save settings...
Please make a note of WEP Key 1 as this is the Security Key for the Wireless Network.
Click on Advanced Wireless-
settings>>Change the Beacon Interval to 75 >>Change the Fragmentation...
Threshold to 2304 Change the RTS Threshold to 2307 >>Click on "Save Settings"...
Now see if you can locate your Wireless Network and attempt to connect... -

I can't power up my pavilion dv6-3210. It has been working for over a year.
I can't get any power signal. No lights when plugged in. I tried to remove the battery and still no luck. Just dead. It was working last night fine but a few days ago had the same problem and removing the battery then powering up worked. Now nothing.
It is out of warranty so I need to know if HP does repair.Couldn't find anything on their site.It's back working. I'm thinking that maybe because it was plugged in while sitting on the carpet it might have engaged the heat sensor. Anyway I tried it again after a few hours without plugging it in and it fired up.
