My iTunes is no longer able to broadcast radio streams

Until recently, I've been able to stream radio successfully through iTunes and my old G4 Notebook. The music plays through ceiling speakers in the house. Recently we installed a new modem from Time Warner and my iTunes is no longer able to broadcast the Internet stream. The radio stations are broadcasting successfully; so that’s definitely not a problem. The G4 is able to broadcast songs I’ve downloaded. It’s just dead when it comes to picking up the Internet frequency. Any suggestions? Thanks. Johnnymoon.

Thank you for the details of the issue you are experiencing with streaming on your iPad. I wonder if this is being caused by an issue with Wi-Fi.
I recommend the following steps:
Be sure you're in range of your Wi-Fi router (access point).
Tap Settings > Wi-Fi and turn Wi-Fi off and on. If your W-Fi setting is dimmed, follow these steps.
Confirm that your Wi-Fi router and cable or DSL modem are connected to power, turned on, and connected to the Internet. If not, refer to your network administrator or Internet service provider (ISP) for assistance.
Restart your iOS device.
Tap Settings > Wi-Fi and locate the Wi-Fi network to which you're connected.
Tap and Forget this Network.
Try to connect to your desired Wi-Fi network.
Note: You may need to enter your Wi-Fi password again if your network requires one.
Turn your Wi-Fi router off and on2. If your ISP also provides cable or phone service, check with them before attempting this step to avoid interruption of service.
Update your device to the latest version of software.
Update your Wi-Fi router to the latest firmware2. For AirPort Base Stations, install updates using the AirPort Utility.
If the issue is still unresolved Wi-Fi disconnects or signal strength is less than expected
Move closer to the Wi-Fi router (access point).
Check for sources of potential interference.
Remove any case, stand, or other accessories from your iOS device and see if signal strength improves.
Reset network settings by tapping Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. Note: This will reset all network settings including
previously connected Wi-Fi networks and passwords

ITunes 11: No longer able to sync via USB

I updated to the latest version of ITunes. I am now no longer able to sync either my iPod Nano nor iPod Touch via USB. When trying to copy music from the computer to either devices, the progress is extremely slow for the 1st song and then stopps while tryng to sync the 2nd song.
When I downgrade to version 10.x I have no issues syncing again.

I am able to sync my iPad 2, just not the older generation iPod nano and iPod Touch

What happens when you try add videos? Any error messages during the sync process? Is your iPod configured to sync videos/movies from under its Movies tab in iTunes?

ITunes 11 No Longer Able to Sync Contacts with Google?

I sincerely apologize if I am posting a redundant topic here; however, I was unable to find any other posted solutions.
After upgrading to iTunes 11, I noticed that there is no longer an option to sync the contacts on my iPhone to my Google Contacts.
Is this a feature that has been removed? Or is there something that I am missing with the new interface?
Any assistance that you can provide is greatly appreciated, thank you!

I am so beyond fed up with this and with Apple. THANK GOD I just switched to a Galaxy S3. The whole reason I did it is because iOS 6 crossed the line, especially with the removal of the native Google apps, only to replace Maps with the biggest joke of a maps app I have ever seen in my life. Within 5 minutes of turning on my new Android phone, literally every single feature, down to the most minor detail, was better than iPhone. Every iPhone user that has checked out my new phone says the same thing. I cannot find ONE thing that is better on the iPhone. Not ONE thing.
Before activating my new awesome phone, I wanted to sync my busted old piece of junk iPhone with Google contacts so I can seamlessly transfer them to the new phone, and lo & behold, I encounter even more of Apple's BS with regard to Google.
Apple, I can promise you this... by taking this stance against Google & making things SO much harder for your users, you are driving them away from Apple in DROVES, and straight into Googles open arms. Prepare to circle the drain. Switching to Android is the best decision I've made all year. I LOVE MY NEW PHONE!

HT4191 upgraded to new itunes and no longer able to sync my notes in outlook with my iphone 4s

I use outlook notes and in itunes 10 you could sync notes when you plugged in your iphone and opened itunes. after itunes 11, you cannot sync notes via usb so how can i sync notes from my desk top to iphone and vis versa? The only thing i have not tried is to make sure the iphone and my desk top are on the same network at the office. I would be so simple if Apple would leave this function which worked great alone or just give us the option to use either or. I read that in order to sync, both the desktop and iphone have to be on the same network but if your desktop is connected to the net via the network port how can both devices be on the same "network"? I must be having a moment of stupidness! Please explain for us simple fokes.

ITunes 10.2.2 on Windows 7: radio streaming problems

I recently got a new Dell laptop for work, with Windows 7 64-bit installed. I installed the latest Windows 64-bit version of iTunes, pointed it to the library I moved from my old computer, and re-imported all the folders. Everything seems fine except that many of the internet radio stations don't play correctly. The ones that don't play sound like they are being "scrubbed" in an audio editor -- choppy, too fast or too slow, with dropouts, beeps, glitches, and frequent re-buffering. It doesn't seem to have anything to do with the bitrate of the stream, as I have some 128 kbps streams that play and others that don't.
My best clue is that in the "Kind" field of the iTunes "Get Info" popup, most of the streams that don't work say "Internet audio stream" whereas most of the streams that do say either "AAC Internet audio stream" or "HE-AAC Internet audio stream". (This holds true for about a dozen different streams tested, but I did find a couple exceptions where an "Internet audio stream" works fine.)
I followed the troubleshooting steps in the Apple Support doc, but updating my audio drivers didn't help, my DirectX is up to date (ver. 11), and I don't have any of the programs that were listed as possibly incompatible. The fact that the problem is not consistent for all streams is really puzzling, making me suspect a missing codec issue, so I installed RealPlayer to see if that might supply them, but nothing changed.
I also noticed that the 64-bit iTunes installs a 32-bit QuickTime -- is that OK?
Any ideas about what could be wrong?

No longer able to drag and drop files to an iPhone in iTunes.

I accidentally unplugged my iPhone 3G before it was finished syncing in iTunes and I lost all of music, playlist, podcasts, etc. I had copied to it. The problem I am now having is that I can no longer drag and drop anything to my iPhone in the Devices list. The only way that I can now get files onto it is by syncing with my existing play lists, etc from iTunes. I can't even select it in the Devices list and create a new playlist on it by clicking the new playlist button at the bottom. I really liked the option to just drag whatever I wanted onto it. It's really a pain now. It does sync properly, so thankfully that works.
Does anyone know why I know why I'm no longer able to drag and drop music, etc. to an iPhone in iTunes.

Man, I can't believe it...that was the fix. I had it checked previously, obviously because that's how I was doing it before. Don't know how it got unchecked, but that IS the solution. I thought something bad had happened and wasn't thinking clearly – feel like an idiot now.

Lastly since upgrading to iOS 7.0.1 (and beyond) Genuis has become effectively useless: it continually asks me to connect to wi-fi, and if I do it creates playlists mostly composed of tracks by the same artists or those very obviously linked to them- previously it created brilliant, nuanced playlists.
Are these things connected, and how do I fix them?

I have done this on numerous occasions but I think that my Iphone has a defect. After many tries, reinstalls, deletion of content, changing content to be stored on external hard drive, deleting itunes and cleaning computer I managed to get all of the songs on and things seemed okay for a while.
The problem returned about a week ago after downloading a new album from Itunes. I now have 12.5k of songs leaving 10gb spare on Iphone which should be more than enough room to operate properly. Last night it seemed to be dowloading ok (after doing all of the above again for the umpteenth time) this morning it revealed that it had just synched 2.5k of songs and 18gb of "other" on the contents bar. it wont synch now as it says its over capacity. So the 18gb of "other" would probably be corrupted data that means it must corrupt each song as it tries to synch it.
The 2.5k of songs it did synch are working on the Iphone as is every song in the library on Itunes. I did completely delete the new album I bought and redownloaded it from the store then tried to synch just that album and it worked fine.
Just about time to dump apple I think!

Actually It doesn't. It says he's on a MacBook. I don't know all the different types of Macs. I was having a ton of problems with iChat. I opened DMZ to my computer, knocked down all firewalls etc and left everything exposed, still with bad results. A few weeks ago my power supply went out on my D-Link. I bought a linksys. Since I'd left all firewalls off I figured it couldn't be the router. I power cycled everything n the netork, still no luck. Today I bought a universal Power supply and started up my D-Link Router. Everything worked perfectly. My wifes computer - a laptop running Tiger worked fine with the Linksys and did my machine before the Leopard upgrade. Now that I've got the D-Link online everythings working.

and you mean hdmi and the tv you connect to dont support hdcp that could cause it

I would copy over the entire thing if you have room. With iTunes 10.4 though, you can download any previous iTunes purchases you have made in the past with your current iTunes account. While in iTunes, look at the left hand side of your screen and select "Purchases" and look at the bottom right corner of the screen and select "Download Previous Purchases". If you have an iPhone, iPod and/or iPad...you can do the same thing from each device. Nice new feature...just remember that those ripped CDs need a back-up!!! Enjoy...

That crash appears to be casued by the Facebook plug-in.
Create a new account (systempreferences -> accounts or Users & Groups on 10.7 and 10.8), make a new Library in that account, import some shots and see if the problem is repeated there. If it is, then a re-install of the app might be indicated. If it's not, then it's likely the app is okay and the problem is something in the main account.
