My iTunes is not prompting me for an upgrade. How do I manually get ios 5?

When I plug my iPhone into my laptop, I have been told it should automatically prompt me to upgrade the software to ios 5. This hasn't happened. How do I upgrade to ios 5 now?

upgrade your iTunes first
If you want to upgrade manual try to go www.apple.com --> iTunes section
After that you can update your iPhone for iOS 5.x

I am trying to delete songs from itune 11 library and i want it to delete the song from my hard drive as well. All my songs are in the music folder but not in the itunes folder?? itunes did not prompt me to move file to trash nor is there an option??

The iTunes Media folder is set in Preferences > Advanced, and is the key to most iTunes folder organizational activities. So I doubt that the automatic deletion will work for files that are somewhere else within the folder structure.
However, I have not experimented with that issue in quite a while, so you are welcome to give it a try in iTunes 11.

Only if you have a more recent backup with which to restore from - if you've only got the one from 3 months ago then you will be limited to what was on that.

Let's try a repair install of iTunes.
Restart the PC first.
If you're using Vista or 7, now head into your Uninstall a program control panel, select "iTunes" and then click "Repair".
If you're using XP, head into your Add or Remove Programs control panel, select "iTunes", and click "Change". Select "Repair" and click "Next" as per the following screenshot:

I went on iTUnes after not using it for awhile and all my playlists are gone. How can I find them?

I went on iTunes after not using it for awhile and my old playlists are all gone. My library seems intact, but I don't have a record of my playlists, except for what's in my iPod. I'm afraid to sync them to get the playlists back into my computer, becuase the last time I synced my iphone it erased all my contacts from both my iphone and my computer, and I don't want the sync operation to remove the playlists from the iPod as well.
I don't have any music on my iPhone, so the two devices in question are just the iTunes program on the computer (it's a Dell with Windows Vista) and my 160 GB iPod classic.

Am doing ALE setup for sending sales orders IDOC out to a 3rd party system.
I have created the logical system and attached to a transport. Here we dont have necessity of linking a client to this logical system!
Then, I created a Distribution Model (CDM) View in BD64 transaction and added Message types to it, but SAP/System did NOT prompt me for a transport request!! Pls. let me know
1) Is it usual with CDMs creation that NOT prompting for a transport? if so, How my CDM/changes will be moved to QA/Production?
2) If not, Why system did not prompted me for a transport?
3) Then How Can I attach my CDM/changes to a transport?

I don't think we get a TR prompt when adding a view in BD64.
You've to individually maintain the CDM view in QAS & PROD. Also there is a functionality to "distribute" the CDM view, are you looking for something similar ?

When i checked EDP21 table, my entires are saved in this table.

See the chart below to determine whether you can upgrade your device and what you can upgrade to. If you do not have a Software Update option present on your iDevice, then you are trying to upgrade to iOS 5 or higher. Try downloading the songs from a different device. If you are doing it from your iOS device, try form your computer.

Your library will only be on your new computer's iTunes if you copy it to it.
If you still have your old computer then you can copy it from that : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4527
Or from your backup of your downloads/library (File > Add To Library).
If you don't have your old computer or a backup then you might (depending upon the country that you are in and if they music is still in your country's store) tbe able to redownload some/all of your past putchases via the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store homepage on your laptop's iTunes
