My itunes is syncing everything but my apps. what happened?
I was playing around with the setting on my phone yesterday and i might have messed something up because now when I sync my iphone it doesn't make any changes to my apps. (adding or deleting) What happened and how can I fix it?
There are no settings on the phone that control app syncing. On the Apps page of your device (not the library) in iTunes you see what's selected to sync. Nothing should change on your phone when you sync unless you updated or purchased apps in iTunes on the computer and not the phone.

when i drag and drop to my ipod it wants to sync everything, but if i make changes to the syncing options and apply it wants to sync it all to make it work. i have 12000 songs and takes two days to sync everything. is there an easier way to drag and drop just one album without making settings changes?
The first ever Sync of 12,000 songs to an empty iPod will take a while, but it shouldn't take two days.
Once all 12,000 songs have been Synced to the iPod, subsequent changes to just one album will result in a very short Sync time. That Sync will include:
the change to that one album
play counts on iPod updated into your iTunes Library
Smart Playlists updated: some complex Smart Playlists are not always updated by the iPod but have to wait for a Sync with the Library.
housework - in other words, behind the scenes tasks that we don't need to see.
Those subsequent Syncs do not sync every single song every time.
So, stick with Syncing. If the first Sync of all your songs is taking too long, try syncing part of the Library (say one or two genres) the first time, a further part the second time and so on. After all, with a Library that large, manually managing the iPod will be a source of torture. -

Were the apps in itunes on your computer? If not, then they would not be transferred.
You will need to redownoad them. -
I didn't do any kind of backup other than my usal sync with itunes. What do I have to do to get itunes to sync everything back like the old one? I was planning for a repair not a replacement. I'm afraid to plug the new one in to my pc until I know what I need to do.
You can restore from the backup of the old one.

Since downloading Firefox when I go on the Internet Internet Explorer pops up with a message - IE cannot open the webpage - Favorit. I have tried everything but cannot stop this happening. Any suggestions? Thanks. I am running Vista.
The exact same things happend to me!! how frustrating! ive reinstalld it soooo many times and quicktime seperatly too as i have had so many different error messages including something to do with quicktime, i dont know what to do but as you said my ipod is useless with out itunes! if anyone works this out let us know! thanks alot x

If you are in the Philippines, check to see if the country is changed in the iTunes Store settings on the iOS device. These steps will show you how to change the preference.
Change your iTunes Store country
Sign in to the account for the iTunes Store region you'd like to use. TapSettings > iTunes & App Stores > Apple ID: > View Apple ID > Country/Region.
Follow the onscreen process to change your region, agree to the terms and conditions for the region if necessary, and then change your billing information.

The other day I was checking out radio stations in iTunes, after I tuned to one of them odd thigs happened, i just moved on. Now my iTunes radio sounds like i am listeneing through a box or can on all stations.
Can anyone help?It sounds like you blew out the paper cone that delivers the sound from the speaker. Depending on how much pressure you used to blow out would determine if the speakers are gone. From the sounds of it and your comment about it happened right after you blew air into the speakers tell me that is what happened. The speakers in an laptop are small and somewhat fragile. The edges of the paper vibrate when it receives the sound and after some passage of time they get weak and if you blew air directily on them, poof they're gone.

I just got my new i phone 5 s and did all the syncing and backing up for my old iphone 4s and set my 5 up and synced it on itunes. It synced evrything but the contacts and other minor things. those were the only things that really transfered. My apps and all my music did not. Tthe thing is when i just went to go manually start dowmloading a few of the songs that i knew i already bought , itunes is making me pay forthem again. Its not saying instal like it usuall does when you go download something aleady purchased on your itunes account. I think or thought it might have something to do with the fact that i just changed my apple id name right before i got my new phine but my apps all re-downloaded (manually-no syncing) without making me pay for them again. i dont want to have to purchase allllll my songs again. Can someone please help me!! Itried going back to my old id or signing out of this id and signing in as my old apple id but now it wot even get on that oneits likjeit doesnt exist anymore.. And when i plug my old phone it shows in the itunes everything thats supposed to be there but all that doesnt stay in the itunes when i actually un plug it so when i plug my 5 in to my computer none of the stuff is in the store for me to actually transfer it I am so good with technology and this has me stumped please help
No it's not stealing. They have an allowance that you can share with so many computers/devices. You'll have to authorize her computer to play/use anything bought on your acct. You can do this under the Store menu at top when iTunes is open on her computer.
As far as getting it all on her computer....I think but I am not sure (because I don't use the feature) but I think if you turn on Home Sharing in iTunes it may copy the music to her computer. I don't know maybe it just streams it. If nothing else you can sign into your acct on her computer and download it all to her computer from the cloud. Not sure exactly how to go about that, I haven't had to do that yet. I wonder if once you authorize her computer and then set it up for automatic downloads (under Edit>Preferences>Store) if everything would download. Sorry I'm not much help on that. -
I spoke to a support tech and he suggested I update itunes and I did. I synced and backed up everything but my camera app that was origionally installed in my ipad 2 is still missing. I also took off restrictions. Any ideas?
You've checked all your homescreens and app folders for it, and tried searching for it via the iPad's spotlight search screen (swipe your first homescreen to the right) ?
Also, have you got an Exchange email account set up on the iPad - if you ahve then it's possible that the account administrator is hiding it, in which see if it reappears if you remove the account -
Itunes wont sync iphone because of apps
I was listening to music with the lock screen on when all of a sudden i got a text, i went to open my text my phone showed the apple logo. it dose that every once in a while so i just waited for it to turn back on as usual. this time it told me i needed to activate my iphone. i pluged it into itunes like it said and it told me this "your iphone could not be activated becasue the activation server is temporarily unavailable. try connecting your iphone to itunes to activate it, or try again in a couple of minutes." i plug the phone in and it says to update it. i try and update it and it tells me itunes could not sync my iphone because apps installed could not be determinded. what do i do?
Have you figured out a solution yet? Mines doing the same thing (but its showing a different error message.) My pc wont recognize it either! it says the device has malfunctioned =(
