My app store isnt working and when ever i go on i tunes it says the certificate for this server is invalid.

aww man. I just reset my laptop(more like shut it down, went to bed, ect), and it still doesnt work. I got the same error. And the problem is that I use my iPod as a hardrive, will an iPod mess up if I use the windows eject hardware option, or uplugg it. I think I may know what happened, if it helps.
1)i was using adobe after effects, working on a file that was on my iPod harddrive
2)I didnt close the program, but I opened iTunes, and played some music while I was doing something else
3)My uncle wanted to use it, so I ejected the the ipod, unfortunatly, the files was still open in AE.
4)The iPod ejected, and AE took a while to close
5)Then I closed itunes

Itunes isnt working properly

I recently got a new computer. It has vista, which I was a little worried about because of all the problems it has had with iTunes and what not. I figured those problems would be worked out by now, but to my disma there are still problems. Well atleast with my computer. I have tried everything to get my library from my old computer to my new one and it still has not worked. I have tried to follow the directions online to manually manage my music. I have put my music as a folder on my iPod. I have reinstalled iTunes three times. I have downloaded a third party software to try to transfer them. I have also tried to call the support line but they suggested I post a question. So here it goes. Does anyone know why iTunes will not take all of my music in any way shape or form? I have authorized the computer, although most of my music has not been obtained 100% legally so that doesnt really do me any good anyway. I have gone into my preferences and changed a bunch of stuff. I have tried everything sort of putting all my 1000+ songs onto cds. So if anyone has had iTunes mess up this bad and you have figured out why please enlighted me. Thank you

Either itunes isnt working properly or im just stupid!

So i tried creating a ringtone on itunes 8 but its def not working. I could pick which part of the song i wanted. However, when i was finished, i didnt see a "create ringtone" or anything. All i saw was "preview" and half of the word "cancel" (im assuming-it was cut off). I dont have a slide bar to move over or anything. What in the world is the problem?!
I tried uninstalling and installing but I still have this problem. Please help!!
(I also had the same issue when I first installed Itunes and wanted to register my iphone but couldnt continue because it cut off near Cancel?

ITunes isnt working... all my songs are deleted!! HELP!

i just plugged my ipod into my usb port and itunes popped up as normal. Then itunes froze and so did my ipod. I tried to unplug my ipod safely but it wouldnt let me so i had to pull it out. It was in disk mode but i changed it back but now my itunes keeps freezing and it wont upload any of my songs!

Could you post a screenshot of what you're seeing, please?
Try going to the Store. Hold down the Alt key and hit the PrtSc key. Paste the screenshot into an image file (using a program like Paint), and save the file.
Start a reply here and click the wee camera icon at the top of the reply window. Click "Choose file", browse to the image file, select the file and click "Open". Now click "Insert file" to insert the screenshot into the reply.

my itunes and safari sounds on my macbook air isnt working! I'm not sure what happened to it. it was working perfectly fine in the morning and then its stopped working about an hour after i was using it. However, i know the sound works because when I turn on the computer, it makes a sound.

When you have done this for Quicktime, go to Program Files\iTunes and do the same thing for iTunes.exe, just in case that is involved too.

First if your iPod is 8gb it is not a 3g. It's probably a 2g.
Apple will replace your iPod for $99. This is a complete replacement not a repair. This won't be done at an Apple store.

There are third party repair shops that might be able to do a repair. Google search for them.

Well anyways, sounds like it's in recovery mode. You'll need to perform a restore through iTunes on the computer.

Prepaid iTunes cards, if that's what you mean, are not specific to any version of iTunes. I presume you're following this procedure to redeem the card:

By 'didn't work' you mean ... ? Do you get any error messages ?
Was the iTunes card issued in the same country as your account is based (they are only valid in their country of issue) ? If it was then, depending upon what happens when you try to redeem it, see if this page helps. You may need to try this More than Once...
But... if the Device has been Modified / Hacked / Jailbroken... this will Not necessarily work.

Connect the iPod to your computer and charge it for at least an hour and then try to restore the iPod via iTunes on your computer. If it asks for an passcode and you do not know it place the iPod in recovery mode to bypass the the passcode. For recovery mode see:
