You don't. That is how it works. It is a verification process. Would you like anyone that picked up your phone to be able to make purchases? I don't think so.

  • HT4623 My iPad keep opening numerous programs by itself, how do we fix that problem?

My iPad keep opening numerous programs by itself, how do I fix this problem?

First, try a system reset.  It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo.  Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears.  You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore.  Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset.  It could take well over an hour!  Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync.  From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab.  Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup.  You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod.  Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod.  As before, say "yes."  Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time.  If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device.  Corrective action is simple -  choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here.

  • Cd opens at start up (how do I stop that)

    Hi All,
I am wondering how to get my Quad 2.5ghz G5 to stop opening it's door on start up (or is it always that way?)
    Thanks
(I did search here as well)

I'd try a PRAM reset first.  Hold cmd-option-P-R key combination until you hear the second boot tone.
If that doesn't work, then maybe an NVRAM reset.  Hold the cmd-optiion-O-F key combination until you get the white Open Firmware terminal screen.  Then enter the following three commands (or maybe a fourth command):
If the tray has opened, then enter this command which should close it:
    eject cd <enter>
In any event, the following three commands will reset the non-volatile RAM:
    reset-nvram <enter>
    set-defaults <enter>
    reset-all <enter>
The last command reboots the machine.

  • ITunes keeps opening when I start computer

can anyone help with the answer;  same applies to iPhoto and iCal.

There may be two causes for the apps reopening:
either iTunes and others are added to your login items
or they were running when you logged out and are started again by Lion's "Resume Feature" when you login.
To remove the Login items: Open the System Preferences -> System-> Users and Groups, click the Login items tab and deselect any Applications that you do not want to open at login.
To avoid the automatic resume of applications:
When logging out deselect "restore application windows". If you want to deactivate "Resume" once and forever follow these instructions. http://applehelpwriter.com/2011/09/13/turn-off-resume-the-definitive-solution/ by billearl

  • ITunes keeps opening after I close it, how do I get it to stop?

I've tried unplugging peripherals, disabling applets, changing msconfig, disabling auto-sync when iPod is plugged in.
Nothing works to get it to stop I found and it's annoying.  The only way I can get it to stop is to force the shut down by ending the process in the task manager.

You need to enter the passwords for your wifi router/modem. Ask the person who set up your new modem.

  • Re: iTunes keeps opening by itself and starts playing music

I have something really strange going on.
My iTunes keeps opening by itself and starts playing music. I cannot figure this out. I turned off the "Sync Via Wireless" on all my gadgets, but this continues to happen. This has woken me up in the middle of the night until I got so tired of it I just shut my Mac down.
Anybody hear of this? Know what to do?

I had the same problem - and as well as opening by itself iTunes was skipping from track to track like crazy. But then I found a post from a few years ago that fixed this.
Connect your iPhone to your iMac and uncheck the box that says 'Open iTunes when this iPhone is connected'. Problem solved!
    Hope this works for you.

See if a device is attached and "open iTunes when iPod is connected" is selected. https://discussions.apple.com/message/16483979#16483979
Check for other iTunes preference settings that might cause this.

  • My MacBook Pro 10.6.8 prompted me of a new itunes update this morning, so i downloaded it. Since then itunes has been starting up randomly on its own, and starts playing the first song on the list. I quit itunes, and it keeps reopening.

My MacBook Pro 10.6.8 prompted me of a new itunes update this morning, so i downloaded it. Since then itunes has been starting up randomly on its own, and starts playing the first song on the list. I pause the song, and it resumes it on its own again. I'm not joking. So, I end up quiting out of itunes; but, it starts right back up again on its own. After quiting out of the app a few times, it eventually stops reopening; however, about an hour later (or less) it opens again. HOW DO I MAKE IT STOP? I'm just about to delete itunes, because I've had enough of this crap. I hope someone can help. I've restarted the laptop, and it seemed like that fixed it, then itunes started up doing the same thing again an hour later. ituneshelper is unchecked; bluetooth is off; i only have speakers and a mouse plugged in (also charger).

Read this Apple Discussion Thread and possible solutions. The audio jack has been the main culprit, also certain sync and automation settings including connected remotes.

  • Is there a way that iTunes can act as a Radio Alarm Clock? I have found the radio station I enjoy listening to in the iTunes Radio List. Is there anyway iTunes (and my Mac) can be set to come-on and start playing that Radio Station from Sleep mode at spec

Is there a way that iTunes can act as a Radio Alarm Clock?
I have found the radio station I enjoy listening to in the iTunes Radio List. Is there anyway iTunes (and my Mac) can be set to come-on from Sleep mode and start playing that Radio Station at specific times of the day?
Any App or plug-in that does that?
    Many thanks
    Kevin

Turning your Mac into a clock radio.
    1.  In iTunes create a playlist that contains just the radio station you want to wake up to.
    2.  Export the playlist (as .m3u works well).  Get Info on your playlist file and look at the Open With entry to make sure it points to iTunes, VLC or some other app that will stream your station.
    3.  In iCal create an event entry at the time you want to wake up.
    4.  Right (or Control) click on your wakeup event and select Get Info.
    5.  For "alarm" select Open File.
    6.  Now under Open File there will be a place to add the file to open.  It will probably be some default entry (like iCal).  Click on it will allow you to select "other."  Then use the file dialog to select your playlist file.
Your Mac will wake you up at the appointed time.  You don't need to keep iCal running.  If you want to put you Mac to sleep for the night then there is one more thing you need to do.  Open System Preferences to Energy Saver and click on the Schedule button.  Check Start up or wake and set the wake up time to slightly before your iCal alarm time.

  • Function keys malfunctioning and iTunes keeps opening

My MacBook has Lion on it and has developed the following issues:
The volume up/down and screen brightness up/down keys seem to be having an identitiy crisis and do both things at the same time i.e. when I increase the volume the screen brightness goes down and volume goes up together etc
iTunes keeps randomly opening and starts playing my music when I haven't touched anything.
Has anyone else experienced this? Is there anything I can do to correct this?
    Thanks

check system preferences, go to accounts, log in items, see if there is an iTunes stuff there, if there is higlight it and click the - button.
for the the sleep part you can go to system preferences, energy saver, make sure wake for network is un clicked.
turn off bluetooth when not in use, the persson who lives next to has either her BT headset or mouse that wakes mine, have our stuff apart by a thin wall 2ft
