My iTunes Mini-Store is displaying in German.......

and, yes, I have all of my settings everywhere set to US - Washington, DC.
Any ideas ? Not really a big deal, just weird.
Kevin

I love the "Keine Ubereinstimmung" heading, whatever it translates into. That must be from the advanced class. Nice, Mein Store was somehow changed to Deutschland. Not sure how though. I haven't logged on to the main store site in months. Thanks again.

  • Itunes 9 Store - Not Displaying Properly

I am having problems with the iTunes store not displaying properly. I can see the album art, but the background is black. I can not see any of the text and I can not see most of the blue play buttons. This all occurred after upgrading to Itunes 9. What options would I need to change in my anti-virus/security programs in order to potentially correct this issue. I really don't want to have to totally uninstall Itunes and reinstall everything. Help is appreciated.

  • Itunes app store is displayed in rubbish text & payment methods

    Hi,
I've been having problems exploring the Itunes app store, as the text displayed in the page is all in rubbish text/illegible even though I have selected my own country for the store. My other friends does not seem to have this problem. How do I solve this?
Attached is the screenshot of what I see.
Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you!

(Sorry Dark about the threadjack, side comment to Katrina.)
Ooops. I guess Helvetica doesn't come with Windows.
Crikey, you're absolutely right. I'm working off an old work laptop of Helen's which has never had much but Oracle and Office installed on it, and it doesn't have a Helvetica. I checked on the MS Typography page, and couldn't find a mention of it there, either:

Maybe my earlier PCs got Helvetica via a Pagemaker installation? Not sure how else I might have got it.

  • My iTunes music store comes up in German!

I've installed 7.02.16 yesterday, and when I wanted to subscribe to a new podcast, the music store came up in German. My preferences have always said English and the menus and regular screen are all in English.
I do understand SOME German, but not enough to navigate on line.
Does anyone know what's going on with this?
    Thanks

  • ITunes Mini Store

I recently upgraded iTunes to version 6.0.2.
The most noticeable new "feature" is an unanounced and unwanted "Mini Store," which appears at the bottom of the iTunes browser window when browsing my music library.
I find this highly annoying since I cannot find any option for turning this feature off. In looking through the new iTunes information, all I can find by way of dealing with the situation is to "click an icon and MiniStore tucks away, ready to pop up again later when you want to explore some more" (see http://www.apple.com/itunes/playlists/). This is problematic because I don't know what is meant by "click on an icon." All I can see is that the icons on the left hand side of the browser window remove this option, but that still does not cause the Mini Store to "tuck away" so I can browse my own library in peace.
I find this all very un-Apple-like by not providing an on/off buttton, an intrusion in my privacy, and a poor marketing scheme. I hope that forthcoming versions of iTunes will remedy the situation.
Does anyone know how to get around this, or turn it off, or, what more precisely is meant by "clicking on an icon?"
    Thanks.

When the MiniStore is hidden, no information is sent to whatever internet address.
You'll have to take my word for it (checked it with Network SpyAlert).
Don't believe all you read on this and that webpage. Those people still thinking information is sent are paranoid.
After installing iTunes 6.0.2, you will not be prompted enabling/disabling the MiniStore. It comes enabled.
So, if you missed that window, there's nothing wrong with your eyesight. It wasn't there.

  • Why does my iTunes / App store go to the German version when I travel in Austria?

Since I updated to iOS 6 my iTunes Store and App Store are both going directly to the Austrian stores.  I am in Austria at the moment travelling. But how come I can't change back the Canadian stores?  I think someone dropped the ball on this one.

No, go to "settings", "iTunes & App Stores" click on your "Apple ID:" should be some type of email address. Then hit "View Apple ID". Once you sign in w/ your password, hit "country or region" (even if it already shows the correct country) your basically reverifying. I'm guessing since you updated while on vacation your locations services were on thats why it changed countries. Anyway follow the steps update your payment info (you will only need the security code for your debit/credit card if it stayed the same). And you should be good!
    Good Luck !

  • ITunes & App Store after iOS5 in German

After installing iOS5 is displaying text in German.  All settings have the iPad language settings in English and we are currently in Hawaii where we live.  The iTunes account that the device is synced with is based in the US.  We previously lived in Germany, but moved 2 months ago.
I have restored the iPad erasing all previous data and the same problem occurs.
Both OS X Lion & iOS 5 have been horrible upgrades and nightmares overall. :-(

Have you tried logging out of your account by tapping on the id on the right-hand side of Settings > Store and then logging back in and seeing if that makes any difference ?

  • Reviews in iTunes app store are all in german. i speak english

    but i live in switzerland.
i need to select switzerland as country for billing information.
dear apple, little switzerland has four official languges. not everyone speaks german.
i don't want to see reviews in german. i can't read them. how can i break the relationship between country and language?

Are you referring to the Customer Reviews? iTunes doesn't distinguish which language is used by the customer in writing the review so it can't filter out those you don't want to see. In fact someone could write one review and use many languages in it, but it seems those that speak German are the most vocal in the Swiss store.

If you have made sure that both the iTunes and iPod software are current and have deauthorized and reauthorized your computer, try this test:
    1. Deauthorize the computer.
    2. Create a new user in the system.
    3. Download the free song of the week from the iTMS in the new user account.
    4. Play the song in that user account to authorize again.
    5. Restore the iPod (using the iPod updater) in the new user account.
    6. Sync just the free song of the week and see if it plays on the iPod.
If it does, you appear to have a corrupted iTunes library file, and you should recreate the iTunes library file in your normal user account, and then sync your music back to the iPod and all should be well.
