My iTunes no longer copies my Contacts to my iPod when I have the 'info' box ticked?
I used to have my Contacts copied onto my iPod classic until recently. Now iTunes now longer seems to want to do this for me, and i get the following messsage "iTunes will no longer sync contacts to the iPod" without any other help or explanation. I have ticked the relevant box in 'info' along with my calender which is copy over perfectly OK. What's going on, can anyone help? I have done all the usual 'Resetting" etc, but still no joy.
Go into the iTunes preferences and turn off the options that have you Copy Music To My Library.
Then, add the top folder which contains your music to iTunes - it will create links to your remote folder rather than copy all music to your netbook.

Here is what worked for me:
My usb hub, being usb2, was too fast. I moved the wire to a usb port directory on my pc. That is a usb1 port which is slow enough to run your snyc. -
My iCloud contacts is fine. The contacts in my iPhone are a mess. Tons of dupes, folks long deleted etc...How do I only have the contacts in iCloud sync to my iphone?
Download the free app My Contacts Backup. Go to Settings>iCloud, turn Contacts to Off, when prompted choose Delete from My iPhone. Check the contacts on your phone. If you have any left on your phone, launch My Contacts Backup, tap the gear shaped icon on the bottom right, scroll to the bottom and tap Remove All Contacts. When finished, go back to Settings>iCloud and turn Contacts back to On to sync the unduplicated contacts back to your phone from iCloud.
Also, be sure you aren't trying to sync your contacts with both iCloud and iTunes or you will get duplicates. -
How do I delete a credit card from my iTunes account without adding another one? My friend bought an app with her credit card and I no longer have the info but every time I try to download a free app (ex: Instagram, Twitter, vine etc.) it ask for the credit cards security code. I can not find a way to delete that cards info without adding another cards info.

I have an older iPod Touch, Model MC086LL with an IOS software version of 4.2.1. Many of the applictions which I had previously purchased were recently upgraded and they no longer can be loaded on my iPod. What is the fix?
Reload older versions from iTunes on a computer, or buy a newer device.

Help needed to a no doubt simple problem
I have the exact same problem with my iPod nano 2nd generation.
I'm on os 10.8.3 and I have my contacts with in Adress book, both "on my mac" and on "iCloud".
"iCloud can not sync to this iPod" is understood, but why is iTunes saying that there no contacts on my mac when there sure is?
Any help is greatly apreciated. -
i purchased 2 books for my iPad and they downloaded successfully. They show up in iTunes when my iPad is connected to my Mac but do not show up on the Mac. Is this a synch issue? When I click the Synch box I am warned that downloads on my iPad will be erased. Is that true? My ultimate goad is to be able to read the books on my iPhone as well. Thanks.
You should be able to copy them to your computer's iTunes via File > Transfer Purchases and you can then sync them to the iPhone (or you could re-download them directly on the iPhone)

I updated iOS 7 and my contacts were ok then they suddenly disappeared a few weeks after updating. I have no idea if it has anything to do with iOS 7 but when I email someone the contacts are there. When I open the app they are gone. What happened?
Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.

If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

hello i purchased a movie recently and it shows in my Itunes library but will not transfer to my ipod. It has the Icloud icon in the top right hand corner of the cover and if i click on play it starts to download from Icloud again and it does this each time i wish to play it, the same now happens to all my purcased movies which of course uses additional ISP download allowance. Before the recent update and lay out of Itunes this didn't happen i just purchased a movie and downloaded it then synced it to my ipod and enjoyed it. But now this latest movie purchase will not download to my ipod. I have sent the problem to Itumes and if there is answer i havent received it. Appreciate any advice

Hi. I'm in a situation here and would really welcome some guidance. I dragged my ext. HD iTunes backed up folder into my new mac. Now there are duplicates of every song. Both versions seem to actually BE there when I check the info. So, I moved what I thought were duplicates into the trash from iTunes, and resigned myself to the fact that I would have to do this manually for each album. I did this with about 10 albums. I emptied the trash and lost them even though they still LOOKED like they were in iTunes. I repeated the process tonight on a bunch of other albums not realizing yet that I had screwed up terribly the first time. This time I saw what had happened and pulled the files out of the trash, onto my desktop and dragged them back into iTunes, then deleted the duplicate files that had exclamation points next to them. Now I have no idea if iTunes is playing duplicate files from the trash or not, and am nervous about emptying the trash. Anyone dealt with this before? Thank you

I have copied my CDs into iTunes (currently running v11) to play on my iPod. I have now bought a non Apple mp3 player to use when I am out running. How can I copy the many tracks I want from iTunes onto the new player?
ThanksI tried Notpod but can't get it to work. Part of the problem, I suspect, is that I can't create a folder on my player (a SanDisk Clip+). I also can't do this in Windows Explorer. Whilst I can see the Clip+ in Explorer, the option to create a new folder isn't there.
The error mesag I get in Notpod is:
"Unhandled exception has occurred in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quit the application will close immediately.
InvalidArgument=Value of '0' is not valid for 'SelctedIndex'. Parameter name: SelectedIndex"
Then, when I plug the Clip+ into a USB port, iTunes thinks it is my iPad - which is because, I guess, Notpod hasn't worked.
I can drag and drop files from the Music folder where my iTunes tracks are stored onto the Clip+ and they get converted but I'd rather synchronise a Playlist from iTunes if I can.

Looks like you restored your backup file to her phone. If you didn't back up your wife's phone first, then the data is gone, sorry.
