so I tried to get into my itunes on my iphone which normally works but the past week it has come up saying:
"The certificate for this server is invalid. you might be connecting to a server that is pretending to be "itunes.apple.com" which could put your confidential information at risk."
what does it mean and how do I fix it?

Did you purchase this product direct from Apple online, in an Apple Store, or through a third-party authorized reseller? Or did you buy it from an original owner whose Applecare plan was supposed to be transitioned to a new owner, by them?
Do you have an original shipping carton the unit arrived in?
If the product was a retail 'open carton' purchase and no
back-track is possible, contact the reseller.
And if the computer had seen a major service with logic
board replaced, etc, it may have other issues with serial
number vs one they may have assigned it. Usually a
new logic board may have the SN flashed or if a unit
was determined to be a reman, a new # assigned. But
that would appear in System Profiler, if officially reman.
If you registered a product anywhere with Apple, it would show on a web page along with its serial numbers, going back several years, at this page after you log in there.

I've downloaded Itunes, but my computer says that the app won't run on my PC. What do I do?

I just recently got a new laptop with Windows 8. However after I downloaded Itunes I clicked on the program and I get a message that says that the app can not run on this PC. I've tried running the troubleshoot compadibility multiple times and it still does not work. I've tried downloading the newest version and the one before that, and neither are working. What do I do?

That suggests that the installer is getting damaged during the download.
I'd first try downloading an installer from the Apple website using a different web browser:

All of a sudden, a "!" has appeared in front of a lot of my iTunes songs and it says that the original cannot be found. What happened? And what do I do now?

A week ago, I was burning CDs, no problem. This week, I tried to burn a CD from the same playlist, but all of the songs now have a "!" in front of the title. When I click on it, it says that the original cannot be found. More and more of the songs are having this same "!" showing up. What happened? And how do I get the music back? There are thousands of songs with this "!"!!!!! And, I'm a music teacher, so this is my life!

The ! Means that the link is broken between what is shown in the Library and where the file is located. You will need to relink the items. You can search you HD to see where the files are located then use CMD-O to relink.
Did you move any items using the Finder?
iTunes is a data base manager and if you move items outside of the iTunes interface then iTunes might not keep track/find the move.

Was the iTunes card issued in the same country as your account is based ? They are only valid in their country of issue. Does DNG Converter work within LR or do I have to upload pictures to my computer and then make a second copy in DNG format. and then go into LR and use them?

1) I downloaded a free game app that works with Game Center...Run, Run, Chicken v.1.1
2) I opened the app, then closed it. When I opened it again, it asked me if I wanted to use an existing account or create a new account for Game Center. I chose to use an existing account.
3) I entered my e-mail address (in my case, my Apple ID) and password.
4) I had to verify the Location (country) and date of birth.
5) Then I went right to the terms and conditions page, and upon acceptance, I got to the Game Center set up. I completed the set up.
6) When I opened the Game Center app on my iPhone, I was able to get into Game Center without any sign in problems.

My MacBook Pro can't send mail since Yosemite upgrade. I keep getting a message that the certificate is invalid, and it says that my account is "offline." This never happened before, very upset.

I upgraded to Yosemite yesterday afternoon on my MacBook Pro. It was an upgrade from the most recent Maverick version. I had already sent out several emails that day, but once the installation was complete, I couldn't send any mail at all. I kept getting this strange dialogue box that said the certificate for the server was invalid, and might be something "pretending" to be my server. It also keeps telling me that my email account is offline. The only account it shows as active is a Verizon POP account, but that doesn't work. I've tried using the Edit functions and the "doctor" functions, but they seem useless. I tried Help, but the instructions it gave included onscreen items I don't seem to have. This is awful, I've already missed deadlines and am desperate.

I have the same issue. My computer has also slowed down. I hope this isn't a malware. I haven't input my password into it, and dont know what I did to turn this on.

Safari keeps saying that the certificate for My Yahoo can't be trusted

Suddenly today when I try to sign in to "My Yahoo" I get the message that Safari doesn't trust the certificate. Is this a real problem or some glitch?

Quit Safari.
Open Keychain Access (Applications/Utilities)
Select: Certificates on the left. (not My Certificates)
Double click the Yahoo certificate.
Where you see Trust; click the gray disclosure triangle so it faces down.
Click the pop up menu to the right of: When using this certificate
Select: Always Trust
Quit Keychain Access. Relaunch Safari. Try logging in to Yahoo.
Also, go to System Preferences - Date & Time then select Date & Time.
Make sure: Set date and time automatically is selected.

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
