My iTunes store will not open, it keeps showing me a page for 10.3 iTunes that I cannot get rid of.

I cannot get into my iTunes store, I have an old windows PC that my iTunes is set up to. It keeps showing me a page with information on iTunes 10.3 every time I click on iTunes store & I cannot get rid of it. The links it gives me to download do not work, I have gone to apple.com & downloaded it but it still shows up in iTunes. I have tried everything I can think & every loop hole I can find & I can't get rid of it. I have contact Apple twice in the last two days, once through express lane that said they would get back to me within 24 hours(has been 48 with no response) & once through there 1800 number which gave me a machine to talk to that e-mailed me "tips" that I have already tried.
Need HELP!
Thanks!
Lindsay

Sorry but the problem has re-occurred....
I have to reboot the pc every single time because I lose my taskbar and desktop.  This time I noticed that it said it was loading the HP Adviser....and that is when I got a completely blank screen again. ????   I am at a loss  ???  It has no function keys on it at all...no x to close it....just a blank screen with jsut the words   Internet Protected mode on.   and then the sizing button and the off button next to it...(can be automatically block, choose content to block etc).  Its on off.
Now is it co-incidence but it was operating well until Magnetic changed the wallpaper (its supposed to do it every hour) and that seems to be when the issue re-occurred  ???
Am I just best to uninstall the Magnetic wallpapers and just put up with the boring ones from Windows ?
I really do not like Windows 7, its not as easy as it makes out...I prefer XP to 7 !!!  At least I learnt how to use that.
Thanks

Itunes store will not open. I get a blank page. When I ran diagnostics error message said secure link to itunes failed. I have internet access, have turned off my security, and I can go to explorer and get on itunes.

    Close your iTunes,
    Go to command Prompt -
(Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
    (Win XP SP2 & above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
    netsh winsock reset
    Hit "ENTER" key
    Restart your computer.
If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
Now launch your iTunes, Sync and see if it is working now.
If you are still having these type of problems after trying the winsock reset, refer to this article to identify which software in your system is inserting LSP:

A long shot, but make sure Safari is set to accept cookies either "Always" or "only from sites I visit". If you have cookies turned off completely, that may cause a problem.

  • My itunes store will not load i keep getting a blank white screen

My itunes store will not load when i click on the store a blank white screen will come up and only that

I have a MacBook Pro and it could be a really simple solution. I had the same problem after updating my iTunes. I finally got through to a guy at Apple who took the time to help me. I use Firefox everyday, but apparently the iTunes Store runs off of Safari. All I had to do was download the most recent version of Safari. Literally, that was it. So easy. • Itunes store will not open on my desktop

I am wondering if anybody on here is having any problems opening the Itunes store? I can launch Itunes on my computer but the store part will not open. All I keep getting is a message saying that the Itunes store is temporarily unavailable. I've had this problem for the last couple months. I've gone through the threads on here but nothing about the problem I am having and have gone to the Apple stores in person and nobody there knows what the problem is. I have gift cards to use for it but can't use them because of this problem. Am I going to have to suck it up and start buying CD's from and dare I say it, Best Buy??? I am still using Itunes 7 and never had problems with it til recently.

I have not had any problems today.
You should upgrade to iTunes 9.2.1. You can get it here http://support.apple.com/kb/dl1056

  • ITunes store will not open

    Hi
I have just downloaded the latest version of iTunes (10.4?)
Windows Vista operating on HP pavillion with Avast anti virus.
Since then, I can not get the store to open. It starts of by accessing iTunes store with the stripey bar at the top, it then turns solid grey but only goes half way across before reverting back to the apple logo. The stores main page remains blank, apart from saying 'iTunes store'
I have tried removing iTunes and re-installing it in the following way
    itunes
    Quick Time
    Apple software update
    Bonjour
    Apple application support
    But this has not worked.
I have disabled my anti virus and firewall, but again, the store would not open.
In the diagnostic it shows I am not an administrator, although I am the only account so not sure why that is the case.
I ran diagnostic, and all was ok

    Sad news!
It worked for one day - sort of, but now its gone again.
I did the above and I was able to buy some songs, but I then had only 90p left from a gift card, and it asked for my card details. No matter how many times I entered them, and I even tried other cards, it just kept saying authorisation declined - there is money there though.
Also, I could not click on any 'picture links', I had to type in names of songs etc, which I could live with.
Today, just been on and again no iTunes.
I really do wish apple would just work on giving decent products first time, without the need for updates to repair or resolve issues. I would contact them, but I know they are of no help whatsoever.
    Any suggestions please?!

  • Itunes store will not open when itunes is started

New Iphone 4.  Wouldn't run on old Itunes version.  Downloaded itunes 10.5 and locks up when opening the Itunes Store.  Music accessible from old files, but no Store therefore cannot download IOS5 for the phone.
Have tried uninstalling multiple times and end up in the same spot.  Have this same issue on two separate laptops, both running Windows XP SP3.
    Help please!!

    Hello there Bob,
It sounds like the iTunes Store is not launching on your phone when you tap it to try and open it and restarting the phone has not helped. I have a few recommendations for this issue. I would start by closing all the open apps on the phone.
iOS: Force an app to close
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht5137
    Double-click the Home button.
Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
Swipe the app up to close it.
When you have done that, sign out of your iTunes account in Settings > iTunes and App stores, and restart the phone:
iOS: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430
If the issue persists, I would next backup your device to iTunes, and restore it:
iOS: How to back up and restore your content

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
    All the very best,
    Sterling
