My iTunes will not connect to the internet because it is tied to IE's proxy settings but IE does not work how do I change the proxy setting to FireFox

I have stopped using IE because it doesn't work, however my iTunes will not connect to the internet now because it is tied to the proxy setting in IE and now I am using FireFox, so, how do I get iTunes to see FireFox as my web browser.

i am having the same problem, i stopped using IE and installed firefox , only now my itunes store won't connect to the internet.

I have configured PDF Genrataor in LiveCycle 2.5. When I place a folder (which has doc file in it) in the IN folder..I expect the OUT to contain same folder (with pdf file in it), But it does not happen.

Why do we have to install 2 add ins for something that should be built in? Please add this to the next version or an update to this one even. We should see the full path of a bookmark when we search for it. Show Parent Folder alone isn't enough if you have sub folders, so I installed Go Parent Folder as well in case of sub folders.

Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

Another thing to try - Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

Bought IMAC sept2012 after updates gray screen shows up with logo at start up. Please help! I don't know the system as I just start using it and the package did not come with CD to reinstall system. I tried to reboot holding shift but it does not work.

I bought the IMAC 21.5" /2.5QC /2X2GB /500GB /6750M sept2012. After the automatic update run when restart computer the screen is on the gray screen with the logo and wont' do anything else. I tried to reboot holding the shift key without success. The package did not come with a CD so I can not reinstall the previous system. I even don't know what is the system that came with the computer because I just start using it. I bought in the US but am in Brazil. Try booting into the Recovery HD which is on the HD. Restart holding down Command+r and at the screen with four choices select Disk Utility>Macintosh HD and click on 'repair disk'. If any changes are made click on repair disk again until you get a clear pass. Restart as normal from the Apple menu.

I have a 3 slide presentation I want a variable to change when the final slide is finished playing. I went to the final slide and dis On Enter Increment End_swf by 1. but this does not work

I then take the swf of another a program (lectora) and do a get variable, the variable End_swf does not show up, I did create the variable in captivate, also created an action in captivate. and thought the action would activate On enter Slide

The rescue email to reset my security questions isn't one of my email accounts. How do I change the rescue email?

Apple store is saying my security questions are wrong. The rescue email does not belong to me and there seems to be no way to change it. When I try to buy something it tells me to go to my security questions to verify my account. Then all that happens :( please help!

My IBM Thinkpad T23 shows the Palm Desktop memos, addresses and calendar information in very small fonts that are hard to read and I have not found a way to change them.
Post relates to: Treo 600 (Verizon)

Using "regedit" I was able to change the font size larger for use with the Palm Desktop software.
Run "regedit" and export (save) a backup copy for safety
   File > Export
Search for "FontSmall"
   Edit > Find > Find what > FontSmall
Click on FontSizeGeneral and change the "Value data" to 16
Exit "regedit"
Run Palm Desktop software and enjoy the new legible font size!
Notes:
1) The location of the Palm Desktop software on my system using "regedit" is:
        HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\U.S. Robotics\Pilot Desktop\Core
        * Your location of the Palm Desktop software may differ.
2) I tested this on monitors using resolutions of 1280 x 1024 and 1024 x 768
        The font size is noticeably readable and much, much better
3) You may also change the font family from the default (Arial) to another, such as Verdana, etc.
        FontCard   (Changes the font family in the side panels)
        FontGeneral   (Changes the font family for most of the program fonts)
4) Operating System: Windows XP Pro
        Palm Desktop v4.1.4

Exception List in Proxy settings sucks - *.* does not work

If I want to add a proxy settings '''only '''for local addresses I can not do this. In IE I only have to add "*.*" in the exceptions list, but in FireFox the symbol "*" does not work in this way. Is there another way to do that without typing every top domain in the exception list?

I went to the settings and entered my new account info with the new apple ID but everytime I try to download something it is asking me to enter the password for the old ID(which is disabled)

Maybe the App Store is still open with the old info?

Restart your iPhone
Press Settings and then Store
Press your Apple ID and choose sign out
Press Home button
Go back to Settings > Store and then sign in with new ID/password.

Private browsing worked fine on the last version, but does not seem to work at all in the new 4 version, so what is the problem? I have uninstalled and reinstalled it several times but that does not solve the problem.

You are welcome. There has never been a need to move that one before, but try it since you can always put it back.
If the same, try booting into the Safe Mode using your normal account. Disconnect all peripherals except those needed for the test. Shut down the computer and then power it back up after waiting 10 seconds. Immediately after hearing the startup chime, hold down the shift key and continue to hold it until the gray Apple icon and a progress bar appear and again when you log in. The boot up is significantly slower than normal. This will reset some caches, forces a directory check, and disables all startup and login items, among other things. When you reboot normally, the initial reboot may be slower than normal. If the system operates normally, there may be 3rd party applications which are causing a problem. Try deleting/disabling the third party applications after a restart by using the application un-installer. For each disable/delete, you will need to restart if you don’t do them all at once.
